Chapter 161 - Chapter 161: The Problem with the Art Style

"Transforming like this to cosplay should be a 100% restoration, but I always feel like there's something wrong with the art style."

The Clones, referred to as Mr. Itachi, who were feeling playful at the moment, could see through the mirror-like glass of the building the black cloak with red clouds, the smooth small ponytail, the tear troughs on the handsome face, and the scratch on the Konoha forehead protector. This was a 100% restoration of Uchiha Itachi. It just so happened that the ability card drawn last time was Itachi's; with a surge of Chakra, those wicked red eyes appeared.

"The problem with the art style! That's a small matter. Anyway, Naruto doesn't exist in this whole world, and no one will sue us for plagiarism. Most importantly, hasn't our true identity remained unexposed?"

The Clone responsible for playing Kisame Hoshigaki showed a mouthful of sharp teeth to the mirror, clearly satisfied with their appearance. This was a sight that couldn't be seen at a comic-con at all—a 100% restoration, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, the main body hadn't drawn many character cards from Naruto. This Kisame Hoshigaki was just a superficial imitation; although he knew some Water Release Ninjutsu, without Kisame's weapon Samehada, he was just a hollow shell.

"Alright, stop obsessing over the art style. We need to hurry and join the battlefield now. There are so many monsters here; maybe we can collect quite a few holy grail stones fragments."

The Clone who had turned into Kisame looked happily at the dense swarm of monsters below, as if these ugly creatures weren't monsters but moving, shimmering holy grail stones fragments. However, the Clone who had turned into Uchiha Itachi was more concerned about the art style, feeling as if the two of them were a bit out of place in this world. Indeed, in a modern, bustling metropolis, two people wearing somewhat'strange' clothes suddenly popping up would look awkward no matter how you looked at it.

"Don't overthink it. The longer we stay, the more eyes will be on us. Let's go!"

'Kisame' spoke to 'Itachi' while throwing handfuls of Kunai downward without even looking. Now, even without aiming, they could kill a bunch of monsters on the street. As the Clones guessed, these guys unexpectedly dropped one or two holy grail stones fragments. This made the eyes of the Clone transformed into Kisame light up.

"It's confirmed, then I'll begin, Mr. Itachi."

"Please start your performance."

Sitting quietly on the edge of the roof, 'Itachi' spoke expressionlessly to 'Kisame'. Since it was confirmed that they could drop holy grail stones fragments, they shouldn't waste any more time—start clearing them out!

"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique."

A Ninjutsu that hadn't been used for a long time; the Clone wasn't rusty at all. His hands quickly formed seals, his blue cheeks puffed out slightly, and then a huge amount of water gushed out from 'Kisame's' mouth, instantly submerging the monsters below. Unfortunately, these monsters seemed to be good at swimming; except for those crushed to death by the initial weight of the water, the rest were still alive!

"What exactly is happening over there?"

Nick Fury looked at the huge amount of water suddenly surging below with a confused 'black man questioning' face. He turned his head just in time to see 'Itachi' sitting on the roof and Kisame'spitting.' Who were these two guys? What were they here for? How could so much water come out of that guy's mouth? Could these two be Mutants? Dressed exactly the same—could they be from that organization? In an instant, all sorts of questions flooded Nick Fury's mind, but he felt a bit more at ease; they seemed to be here to help. However, the damage caused by all that water didn't seem small; all those expensive cars were soaked.

"Fly the plane over there."

"Yes, Director."

Suppressing the doubts in his heart, Nick Fury directed the pilot to move the plane closer to 'Itachi' and the other. This scene was spotted by 'Itachi,' who had been observing, but he didn't make any move. The black-hearted Director Egghead—they were all acquaintances. This guy wasn't someone who would act impulsively at such a critical moment; he was very cautious. He was probably coming to find out their purpose and perhaps win them over!

"Alright, water is useless against them. It seems we need to try fire."

'Itachi' stopped 'Kisame' from continuing to waste Chakra. They were all Clones, not the main body, and didn't recover Chakra as fast. Once they ran out, they would disappear, which would be troublesome. Although he could summon a few more Clones, being here alone wouldn't be as fun. Both Clones being in Naruto attire was the only way to eliminate most of the sense of embarrassment.

"Hello, both of you. I am from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, S.H.I.E.L.D. for short. I am Director Nick Fury."

Seeing that the two of them showed no aggressive tendencies as he approached, Nick's heart settled. This meant they could talk. He had the pilot land the plane on the building. Now that the Avengers were blocking that giant monster, he had to hurry. Maybe these two could really be of great help. In this emergency, he had to win over all available power. It was a pity the Hulk had been driven away by the government; otherwise, he would have been a great asset.

"Hello, Director Fury. With that giant monster here, how do you, the Director who protects the homeland, have the time to come to us and chat?"

Three black tomoe spun slightly within the red pupils. The Clone playing Uchiha Itachi had entered the state; the flat tone combined with the wicked eyes increased the pressure on Nick Fury. The Clone playing Kisame Hoshigaki sat nearby and smiled at the scene, recording it while recovering Chakra. The first direct contact between Marvel and Naruto—this art style was so bizarre.

"May I ask for your names?"

Although 'Uchiha Itachi's' words were stinging, Nick had to bite the bullet. These two people of unknown strength and strange attire gave him a feeling of being difficult to handle. This feeling was very familiar; Artoria had been the same back then. He wanted to reach out and invite her, but he was blocked by Artoria's parents, which was truly disheartening.

"You don't need to know our names. You can just call us 'Akatsuki'."

Not telling Director Egghead their current names, the Clone showed wariness toward him, which actually made Nick Fury feel much more relieved. There is no such thing as kindness for no reason in this world; if there is, there must be a scheme. If someone acts very friendly the moment they meet you, then you'd better be prepared to be cheated. The wariness of this Mr. 'Akatsuki' told Nick Fury that they weren't here for S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Director Nick, let's dispense with the pleasantries. We're only here to observe. We are mercenaries, and if there's nothing else, we'll be leaving now."

As he spoke, 'Itachi' turned to leave, which made Nick panic. He had assumed the other party was here to help, and hadn't they just intervened? But after carefully mulling over 'Itachi's' words, Nick's lone eye lit up. He understood the meaning: if he wanted them to act, he had to pay a price. He got it.

"Mr. Akatsuki, we can talk about the matter of the employment fee."

Sure enough, as soon as Nick said those words, 'Itachi' stopped in his tracks. He turned around and looked straight at Nick, making him feel a bit uneasy.

"Our employment fee is very expensive."
