Greatest of All Time – Season 2Chapter 4: The Storm Beyond Heaven
presents
The morning sun bathed the city in warm golden light.
Street vendors shouted to attract customers while children laughed as they ran through the crowded market.
Everything felt... peaceful.
Arashio carried a small basket filled with fresh apples and oranges.
"Siya, are these enough?" he asked.
Siya smiled softly while fixing a loose strand of her silver hair.
"I think so. You always choose the sweetest fruits."
Arashio laughed.
"Because someone eats more than me."
"W-What?!"
Siya pouted before lightly punching his shoulder.
"I only eat a little."
"Sure..."
"You finished an entire cake yesterday."
"T-That never happened!"
The two continued teasing each other, their laughter echoing through the market.
For a brief moment...
It felt like there had never been war.
Never been pain.
Never been loss.
Then—
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
A deafening explosion shook the entire world.
The ground trembled violently.
Buildings swayed.
Windows shattered.
People screamed as they looked toward the horizon.
Far beyond the ocean...
A pillar of blue and crimson light pierced the heavens.
The clouds split apart.
The sea rose into gigantic waves.
"What... was that?" Arashio whispered.
Siya's smile disappeared.
"...That wasn't normal."
Without another word, both of them ran toward the cliff overlooking the ocean.
What they saw froze them in place.
Beyond the Sky
High above the atmosphere...
Two figures clashed at impossible speed.
Blue A.
The strongest warrior of the Time Center.
And...
Red A.
The deadliest general of the Nature Center.
Every punch shattered the sky.
Every collision created black explosions that swallowed clouds.
BOOM!!
Blue lightning exploded.
CRACK!!
Red flames consumed the heavens.
Their battle tore through the atmosphere itself.
Blue A extended his hand.
"Time Spear!"
Thousands of glowing blue spears rained across the sky.
Red A laughed.
"Too slow!"
"Nature Devour!"
A giant crimson wolf made of fire swallowed every spear before exploding.
The shockwave reached Earth.
Entire mountains shook.
The ocean split apart.
Even birds fell from the sky.
Blue A wiped the blood from his lips.
"So... you've become stronger."
Red A grinned.
"I didn't come here to play."
"I came to erase the Time Center forever."
Their eyes met.
Then—
Both vanished.
Space
BOOOOOOOM!!
The stars trembled.
They fought across endless galaxies.
Planets cracked.
Asteroids turned into dust.
Blue and crimson energy illuminated the darkness of space like two newborn suns.
Then—
They crashed into the gates of Heaven.
Heaven
Angels fled as the two warriors destroyed marble temples with every attack.
Golden pillars collapsed.
The heavenly rivers overflowed.
Blue A slammed Red A through a palace.
"You've lost your mind!"
Red A smiled with blood running down his face.
"No..."
"I've already lost everything."
Their fists collided again.
BOOOOOOOM!!
The heavens themselves shook.
Moments later...
They disappeared once more.
The Underworld
Dark flames covered the endless abyss.
The rulers of Hell watched silently as Blue A and Red A continued their battle without caring where they were.
Demons hid in fear.
Even ancient monsters refused to interfere.
Their battle had surpassed humanity.
It had become a war between legends.
Back on Earth
The explosions finally stopped.
Silence returned.
Arashio stared at the sky.
"...Who were they?"
Siya slowly lowered her eyes.
"I don't know..."
"But if warriors like them exist..."
"...then the world is far more dangerous than we imagined."
At that moment...
An old man carrying a wooden staff slowly walked past them.
His long white beard reached his waist.
His faded kimono fluttered in the wind.
Yet his eyes...
They shone brighter than the stars.
He looked at Arashio.
"...So."
"The child chosen by fate has finally awakened."
Arashio blinked.
"Huh?"
"You know me?"
The old man smiled gently.
"My name is..."
Kuze.
"I have been waiting for you."
Siya instinctively stepped in front of Arashio.
"Who are you?"
Kuze chuckled.
"Someone who has lived long enough to witness the rise and fall of gods."
He slowly turned toward the nearby forest.
"If you truly wish to know who James was..."
"If you wish to learn why Saku became your enemy..."
"And if you want to uncover the truth behind the Monster Souls..."
"Then follow me."
Without another word...
He disappeared into the dark forest.
Only the sound of the wind remained.
Arashio looked at Siya.
She nodded silently.
"I think..."
"...we should follow him."
The two stepped into the ancient forest.
Neither of them noticed...
Hidden high above the trees...
A pair of glowing crimson eyes opened.
A cold voice echoed through the darkness.
"So..."
"Kuze has finally made his move."
A shadow smiled.
"Good."
"Everything is happening exactly as the prophecy foretold."
The crimson eyes slowly closed.
The forest became silent once again.
To Be Continued...
