Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13

Lia was the daughter of Lia and Emris. This truth was hidden from Czar. Lia had fallen into her first love with Emris, and they stayed together for many years. Later, she began to understand that what she was doing to Czar was wrong—but by then, it was too late. Emris had always tried to harm Czar in every possible way.

His biggest move was to take everything from him—his family, his reputation, his entire life. Emris wanted to see Czar broken, licking the ground in defeat. For this purpose, he used Lia as his weapon. Lia never knew that Emris also planned to kill Czar.

At first, Lia was very supportive of Emris. Day by day, she continued meeting him—hugging him, embracing him, loving him—while fooling Czar. Czar never suspected anything; he believed every bit of it was real. But slowly, Lia began to fall for Czar. What started as pretence began to change into something genuine.

Czar first met Lia in a café. Despite having an IQ of 150+, he was never able to catch her truth—because he trusted her. Just as every cell of the body depends on the heart to function, he relied on her completely. He loved her, embraced her, cared for her, fulfilled every wish she had. He never touched her without her permission.

Whenever Lia was caught in trouble, Czar would calmly say, "Ismae itna masla nahi"—as if no matter how deep the problem was, even if it reached the depths of the ocean, he could handle it for her.

He had his own ways of protecting her. His kindness slowly began to change Lia's heart. What she once faked started becoming real. She started wanting to be good to him, just as he was to her.

But she couldn't escape Emris's decisions. When she finally thought of leaving Emris's life, he killed her.

For three years, Lia fooled Czar. For the next two years, she genuinely began to like him. Regret slowly crept into her heart, but she was too scared and too ashamed to confess the truth to Czar. Emris had once gifted Lia a necklace—a silent reminder of her chains.

Czar fell for Lia at first sight—her gray eyes. There was something magical in them, a pull that dragged him in without resistance. Their first meeting in the café, where Lia stood up for an elderly couple, left him mesmerized by everything she was.

Is love blind? For him, it truly was. He never imagined betraying her, because she was the oxygen he breathed with every second.

When Lia was killed, Czar discovered that Emris was behind everything. Yet he couldn't catch him—Emris had a dark, powerful background. Both of his parents were involved in organ trafficking, making him almost untouchable.

Emris also killed Czar's parents. From that moment, Czar decided to pay back everything Emris had taken from him.

Both men destroyed each other's families brutally.

Lia, Emris, and Lia's daughter were nothing more than weapons to Emris. He had been waiting for the right moment to use even the child. He never truly loved Lia—he only pretended, and she believed him more than anything.

Czar's "ismae itna masla nahi" never ended while Lia was alive.

During their time together, Czar carved a tattoo on his back:

"gözlerine esir olmak."

It was a reminder that the first thing that captured him—trapped him forever—was her eyes.

He had more tattoos as well: on his right arm, a pierced lip, and a pierced right eyebrow. But none of them carried the weight that her eyes did.

Days passed, and days turned into weeks.

Six weeks went by, and Czar was still unable to discover who Elaya truly was in real life. Emris, too, tried his best to uncover her identity, but there was no clue, no evidence—nothing at all.

Elaya and Ava were relentlessly trying to find the bloodsucker, yet they were stuck with no leads. Ava contacted police stations across South Korea, and every single day she roamed through the lanes of Seoul, checking CCTV footage from one street to another. Still, the bloodsucker was fast and clever enough to escape every time, disappearing before they could catch him.

Both of them examined CCTV footage and gathered information from people, but it led nowhere. By now, he had killed three more girls. Their bodies were crushed brutally—twisted, hammered, destroyed using every tool a plumber or electrician might use. Every instrument became a weapon in his hands.

And, as always, after killing them, he made sketches of their eyes.

Meanwhile, as "Karen," he continued to meet Elaya, always pretending it was just a coincidence—just chance encounters—to stay close to her. His final intention was clear: if he ever found out that she was there to arrest him and drag him to justice, he would kill her in a very unique way.

First, because of her grey eyes. Second, because she had come for him.

Czar was also trying his best to find Emris, but he kept failing. He cursed himself again and again—what was the use of having an IQ above 150 and a photographic memory if he still couldn't find him? Almost every day, he visited Lia's grave and prayed for her.

Emris, on the other hand, brought his daughter to meet Elaya every Sunday to maintain contact with her. Slowly, Elaya's suspicion toward him began to fade. His repeated appearances, his manners, the way he spoke, and his kindness were starting to affect her—not as love, but as curiosity. She wondered whether he was lying, or whether he was truly like this.

How could anyone fool Elaya Siddiqie, the best detective ever known, and her partner Ava Ibrahim? Both were unique in their own ways. They had solved countless cases, and yet no one had ever discovered their real identities. So how could Czar or Emris possibly find out who they really were?

During these days, Czar kept visiting Elaya's flower stand and kept an eye on Ava as well, but still found no clue. Ava and Elaya were investigating the very first case—it was rumored that Lia had been the first victim with grey eyes killed by the bloodsucker. There was very little information about her, except that Czar had been her boyfriend.

Ava spoke to Czar about Lia, and he tried to remain calm while explaining how she had died. However, he never mentioned Emris's name. He only said that an unknown number had informed him.

Why?
