"Damn it!"
Reiner raised his hand and made a gesture.
A dozen 6th Street Gang members quickly surrounded Jackie.
Ten guns were simultaneously pointed at Jackie, but he didn't care, instead, he slapped the 6th Street Gang member across the face.
"For years, I've hated you bastards, claiming to protect the community, but actually bullying men and women.
It's one thing to do that in your own territory, but what the hell are you doing in Heywood? Isn't Santo Domingo enough for you to ruin?!"
After two slaps, the man couldn't stand anymore, his cheek swollen like a pig's head, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, yet he dared not move, because in Jackie's other hand, a pistol was still pressed against his forehead.
When Reiner saw this, he trembled with rage. His men had already surrounded him, with over a dozen guns pointed at his head, and he still dared to do this. Did he not take him seriously?
The 6th Street Gang members grew furious, looking at Reiner, waiting for his command.
But Reiner didn't give the order. This man was from the Valentinos Gang, and by his tattoos, he wasn't a small-time player...
This kind of guy couldn't die.
The conflict between the 6th Street Gang and the Tyger Claws was constant, and before resolving the situation in Charter Hill, they couldn't afford another conflict in Heywood.
So Reiner quickly jumped out of the ambulance and walked over, and behind him, a dozen 6th Street Gang members quickly compressed their formation and surrounded them.
"I say, since when do the Valentinos come to Santo Domingo to cause trouble?" Reiner asked loudly.
"What? Valentinos?" Jackie chuckled, shaking his head and saying, "Cut the crap, buddy, I'm not a Valentinos Gang member, I'm a mercenary."
Reiner was furious when he heard that.
Your arm tattoos, your attire, and the gold jewelry your Valentinos Gang people love most!
All of these exposed your identity, and now you're telling me you're not a Valentinos Gang member?!
Are you taking me for a fool?!
Damn it, if not, just kill him!
Screw it, at worst, I'll go back and get yelled at by the Captain, the 6th Street Gang and the Valentinos have always been sworn enemies anyway!
"Jax, where are you?" Jackie raised his head and bellowed, "It's your turn to shine!"
"I'm here." A voice suddenly came from behind, Reiner quickly turned his head and saw that a young man had appeared on the ambulance he had just gotten off, he didn't know when.
Black hair, Asian face, he was thin and tall, carrying a woman on his shoulder, with David, whose chin was broken, following behind him.
"We've found the person, let's go." Jax calmly walked past the group of 6th Street Gang members. Jax seemed to not even notice these people, carrying Gloria on his shoulder as he walked towards Jackie.
Jackie chuckled at this, putting away his gun and getting back into the car.
Meanwhile, Maine had also appeared from somewhere.
His massive body squeezed out of the car window, the guy wearing sunglasses, put two fingers to his mouth and blew a loud whistle, laughing, "That's so damn awesome, you're right, Jax, this is how we should do it! Who cares about the 6th Street Gang? It's not like we haven't dealt with them before."
"Leaving?"
Reiner, with a grim face, blocked Jax's path, raising his submachine gun and aiming it at the approaching Jax. He said coldly, "Where are you going?"
The Captain's teachings kept Reiner grounded, but even he couldn't hold back now.
His finger tightened on the trigger, he was going to teach this guy a harsh lesson.
Showing off? Showing off will make you face the consequences!
But Reiner's hand hadn't even pressed the trigger with force when the guy, who was clearly three meters away, suddenly appeared in front of him. A sharp pain shot through his hand, and by the time Reiner reacted, he realized the gun in his hand had been gripped by the other party.
Jax held the gun barrel, pressing down with all his might.
"Crack!"
The submachine gun barrel made a cracking sound, the muzzle becoming flattened. Jax looked at him, "If I were you, I'd take a good look at the situation and not act on impulse. It's not about having more people; the Nightwalkers had so many people, and their weapons weren't worse than yours, but what good did it do them?"
"...Who are you?" Reiner asked.
"Jax, an Edgerunner."
Reiner's pupils contracted upon hearing that. "Alright, so you just became famous, and Magus already recruited you guys?"
"Who is that?" Jax narrowed his eyes, looking at Reiner with some confusion.
Magus... who is this person?
"What are you pretending about?!" Reiner looked at Jax coldly. He raised his hand and made a gesture, and the 6th Street Gang members all lowered their guns, instead standing silently on guard behind Reiner, each one gritting their teeth.
Reiner looked at Jax, then continued, "We were just about to investigate the corruption within the hospital, and Magus got the news.
He had the ambulance change its route and head to the district hospital. We finally managed to stop the ambulance, but then you guys showed up."
"Magus is quite something, isn't he? He's not only working with gangs like the Scavengers now, but also dealing with you Edgerunner mercenaries, is that right?"
"..." Jax understood even less.
"So, what does any of what you're saying have to do with me?"
"Alright, playing dumb. The people I brought today can't stop you guys, Maine's crew, right? Jax, right? I'll remember you." Reiner said.
Even if he was unwilling, Reiner knew very well that today's matter was just going to be like this.
Reputation precedes a man; Jax's name had become famous on the streets in a single day. In Night City, where news spreads like wildfire, who didn't know about him killing an entire Nightwalkers family in the Badlands?
Because of this, Reiner dared not make enemies for his faction without the Captain Gu Ang's permission.
He was just a middle-level cadre!
But... he could at least say some harsh words, right?
But after hearing Reiner's words, Jax simply handed Gloria to Kiwi. Kiwi and Rebecca together helped carry Gloria into the car, and then Jax turned to Reiner.
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I don't know that Magus, and I don't intend to. I'm only here to take my neighbor home."
"Also, I don't think you'll want to remember me, because I hate being remembered. The last person who did that was named Janus, a Fixer."
Jax smiled, then continued, "If you still don't understand, then let me give you a warning: remember to close your doors and windows when you sleep at night, so you don't end up dead in your bed the next day."
"..." Reiner's face turned ashen.
"Reiner, are we just letting them go?"
"Reiner, let's fight them!"
"Shut up!" Reiner said.
Meanwhile, David watched the scene in silence.
The 6th Street Gang was powerful in his heart, their people were everywhere in Santo Domingo, and now... Jax had made the 6th Street Gang actively back down.
If, if he also had great power, would he not need others to protect him?
He wanted to protect others, not be protected by them...
Looking at Jax, David clenched his fists.
If I could be like Jax...
Jax, however, suddenly froze.

"Let's go."
Jax came back to his senses and patted David's shoulder.
"David, over here." Maine waved from a distance, signaling David to come to his car.
The two cars left the front of the warehouse, but a loud shout rang out.
"I'm telling you, you bastard, this isn't over!!!"
Reiner yelled from behind.
