It was past midnight when my phone buzzed.
Adrian: "Open the door."
My heart nearly jumped out of my chest.
I opened it.
He looked tired. Frustrated. Torn.
Without saying a word, he stepped inside and locked the door.
"She's back because of my father," he said.
"And?"

He walked closer.
"And they might use you to do it."
My breath caught.
