The Lost Vampire System Chapter 63 - Five Minutes Left

"Wait," Jareth suddenly said. "I forgot all of my things."

He ran back to his room to grab his backpack with Sophia still sleeping. The umbrella was attached on the side and he grabbed his sword. He also grabbed the last two sets of the purple military uniform moving Sophia as he placed them underneath her and the shirt that she was on waking her up.

Dad, are we moving? Sophia thought to Jareth.

Yes, we are, Jareth thought to Sophia as he closed up the backpack and ran out of the room.

Hungry, she complained.

I will feed you in a moment, Jareth thought to her.

A little humming sound was heard as she adjusted her position in his backpack.

"This is so exciting!" Madison jumped in the air. "My first expedition! Aren't you exited Jareth?"

"I honestly don't know," Jareth said as they entered the elevator hallway. "You know I have the little queen to look out for."

"Oh, yeah," Madison expressed as she pushed the elevator button. "We really have to protect you."

"Little queen," Henry asked now realizing that he had missed a conversation.

"Yeah, nothing," Damion said. "Inside joke."

"Well," Henry stuttered trying to join the conversation as they entered the elevator. "I want to be a part of this."

"It's ok Henry," Jareth said putting his hand on Henry's shoulder. "The three of us have something in common that we don't like to share with others. I was surprised myself when we realized it. Just let us warm up, ok."

The two of them looked at each other until Henry nodded. Jareth looked at Madison as she gave a look that showed that she approved of the actions that Jareth did.

The elevator doors opened and they came face to face with Hannah and Emma who were also wearing the purple military uniform.

"You're late," Hannah said through her mask that she was still wearing.

"You know," Damion began as they exited from the elevator on the ground floor. "I'm not even sure if you're Hannah or not. I've never seen your face."

"Seeing my face is irrelevant," she snapped. "You know it's me."

"Then let me see your ugly face," Damion said.

"No," Hannah said. "There's better things to do."

Hannah turned and started to walk away. Damion smirked as he started to walk towards here when Jareth moved his hand while keeping his arm by his side. Damion looked down and stopped moving. He gave a slight huff before following behind to the dinning hall. This action was noticed by Emma who furrowed her eyebrows.

When did the no evolved have control over the strong? Emma thought as she followed behind the group with a steady pace. This group is interesting.

The six members entered the dinning hall looking up through the middle of the other 4 floors seeing a see of purple military uniform instead of green military uniforms. Unlike the other days this place was full to the brim as nobody was going to skip breakfast. Hannah also stayed with them as she went to the fourth floor a couple times.

"Hurry up," Jareth could hear Hannah ordered a student.

Jareth just shook his head as he grabbed 6 apples and slipped them into his backpack.

Oh, Sophia said as she took a bite. Thanks.

Jareth smiled as he did his thing with Madison. This time Madison pulled Jareth to the side as she reached into the neck of her shirt and showed Jareth a small clear pouch containing a type of red liquid. Jareth looked at it for a moment before his eyes widened.

"Is that—,"

"Yes," She finished in a whisper. "It's blood. I went into the medical building and took four pouches. Don't ask how. I'm surprised you didn't notice that my breasts were bigger."

Jareth's mouth opened but no words came out as his eyes started to lower but snapped back up to her eyes. Madison's intense smirk went to a laugh as Jareth didn't even know what to say.

"You better not falter when you talk to someone you actually like." The Cambion laughed harder as she wrapped her arm around his neck. "I see the way you look at…well I'm going to see where that goes."

Jareth frowned as he didn't know what Madison was talking about but couldn't say anything as he was dragged to where the group was.

The group sat down at a small table since Madison told them that Mia's group had decided to eat earlier and went to the 20th floor to discuss strategy.

Jareth frowned but just shrugged as he pretended to eat a piece of steak.

"It would've been better if they were here," Damion sighed. "Oh, well."

"We don't need them," Hannah said as she ate her scrambled eggs. "We will do just fine."

"That's not the point," Madison said. "The point is we can work better as a group You don't have to everything alone."

Hannah just looked away as she ate a piece of bacon. Damion reached out his hand and stopped before he could touch Hannah. Hannah's mask looked at Damion's hand. She then tapped his finger and a smile came on his face.

"High chance now that I also have your power," the Nephilim chuckled. "Now let's see your face."

The eye holes of Hannah's mask glowed orange as she activated her foresight powers ready for Damion to do something.

"You know," Damion snorted as his eyes glowed as well. "My power allows me to combine power so I can see farther into the future than you."

Hannah slowly reached for the sword on her back.

Jareth decided he should deescalate the situation so he was just reaching for a piece of steak to throw at them when the two reacted by looking at Jareth and the tension died down as he paused mid throw.

"You dare throw food at me?" Hannah questioned as he eyes stopped glowing and Damion's as well.

"I never threw food at you," Jareth argued.

"Yes, you did," she protested. "I saw you do it."

Madison chuckled as she took over on Jareth's behalf.

"Just because you saw it in a vision doesn't mean it is set in stone. You reacted before you claimed that he threw it so he never did."

Hannah tilted her head like she was thinking of what Madison just said. After a moment she huffed as she got up to get more food.

They continued to eat until it was time to go to their homeroom class.

"You go ahead," Damion said. "Unlike you we don't like to carry our things around."

Jareth nodded as Jareth left his group to slowly walk to his homeroom class. He exited from his dorm building propping up his Umbrella and walked into the sun making sure to shield himself. When he did the Vampiric did not feel weaker and a notification didn't pop up.

He pumped his fist up in celebration as he started to walk along other students to the homeroom buildings. He was looking around when a flash of light entered his vision. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again other flash of light entered his vison. The Vampiric shook his head as he looked to the left and he could see that there was a small group in the distance. Four guys and a girl. The girl in the front was holding a small mirror and was the one reflecting a part of sunlight at Jareth and he guessed it wasn't enough to weaken him. Jareth eyes widened when he noticed that the girl was someone that he had fought the other day, Charlotte.

Is that Charlotte, he thought? What is she doing here? She shouldn't be going on the expedition today.

Charlotte made a slicing guested across her neck and raised up three fingers.

Uh, oh, He thought. What are the three fingers for? Does that represent three days like when the expedition is over?

Jareth gulped as he moved to his right blending into the crowd of chatty students. Charlotte's group chuckled as they headed back to the second-year area for their classes. His heart was beating at a rapid pace and he took a few deep breaths to calm himself. It's not like she would be coming on this trip. That is a problem for another day.

After a couple more minutes of slow walking Jareth reached his homeroom class and walked to the back where he usually sat.

"All safe and sound," Jareth muttered. "Please keep an eye on Charlotte. I saw her a moment ago threatening me with three fingers up. Probably planning something when I get back."

He then tapped his right ear three times and a little buzzing sound was heard as the message was sent to his hacker. Jareth admired his fingernails until his group arrived 1 minute before 8 am with backpacks of their own. The group sat down and there was a slamming motion as Carl slammed his hand down. He was also wearing the purple military uniform like everybody else.

"You better all be here!" Carl shouted. "I hate how I would have to whoop your *ss as punishment!"

"I forgot about this guy," the Nephilim said casually, like an influencer that he didn't like popped up on his For You page again.

"I hope you are all ready for this expedition!" Carl continued. "As we will be leaving for the teleportation room to go to the Becifer planet. I hope that you got everything because there is no turning back now!"
