The sky finally turned pitch black. In the middle of the night, a staff member suddenly knocked on the door from outside, wanting to bring in some food. However, since I was still full from lunch, I declined. After that, I set my phone alarm, climbed into bed, and drifted off to sleep...
The next morning, I woke up very early at 5:00 AM to get ready for shopping. Honestly, I didn't really expect anyone to open their grocery shop at this ungodly hour. Holding the stack of salary money, I quietly carried my sandals and stepped out of the room.
The crisp, early morning air made me feel quite refreshed. To my utter surprise, even though it was only 5:00 AM, the stalls of the Phantom World were already fully set up along the streets. I quickened my pace and walked straight into a large clothing store. The staff inside immediately bowed to welcome me.
I quickly picked out a turtleneck, a black T-shirt, and a pair of long pants. The total cost came to 300 phantom currency. Looking at what was left, I still had exactly 500 more. Conveniently, I decided to turn around and buy a few more backup outfits for a change of clothes.
After spending money back and forth for a while, I only had 200 phantom currency left in my pocket. On the way back, I stopped by a stationery shop to buy two notebooks along with some pens.
I bought a few more pastries, eating them to tide me over while leisurely walking back.
When I returned to the company, the security guard used a scanner to check me over once for security before letting me through.
Just as I stepped up to the lounge area, I saw Yashu who had also just woken up and stepped outside. Our eyes unexpectedly met.
-"You're up early today, huh?" - She asked, slightly surprised.
-"I just went out to buy a few things." As I spoke, I lifted the food bag in my hand toward her: "I bought breakfast for you too, here, eat up."
-"Thank you." - Yashu smiled as she took it, taking a delicious bite of the pastry.
Looking at her bright, rosy, and fully awake face, I smiled and said:
-"You must have slept very well last night, right?"
-"Ah... Hehe, that's right." - Yashu replied with a playful smile - "So you're starting to care about me now, huh?"
I just smiled, handed her the notebook and the pen I had just bought, and then went back to my room to change into my new clothes.
After changing, I stepped outside and began my usual work of lifting and clearing out the warehouse...
