"What should I do next" Elias walked through West Borough with his hands in his pockets.
He changed his semi-liquid coat armor, and now wore a long grey coat.
"I don't know if I should have had that interaction with Adam, and I should have probably erased his and the others' memories about what happened" he was deep in thought about the events that followed his entrance.
"But that shouldn't be a problem, I've cut all the strings they could use to track this body, so they shouldn't be able to make a connection."
"At best they would just assume that I'm some kind of aspiring beyonder blessed by that powerful existence" He smiled faintly.
A truly elegant misdirection.
He carefully considered the scenario at play. His senses traveled the layers of reality and reached the Astral world, there his gaze scanned the aftermath.
The aftermath was… instructive.
Entities representing the zenith of their pathway, and embodiment of its concepts and authorities, revered as deities by the masses, scrambled back to their divine kingdoms with eyes filled with confusion and disorder.
The Tyrant's authority fluctuated erratically, flaring white thunder illuminated the astral world before stabilizing.
The White Tower retracted layers of observation like a scholar closing books too quickly.
Divine kingdoms flickered as their rulers returned, recalculating.
Far beyond the world barrier, something else stirred.
The cosmos were almost empty.
After the sudden assault from the unknown entity on the planet protected by the world barrier, all the attention from the cosmos shrank back.
Some great old ones withdrew further into the cosmos.
While others sank deep into the crust of their planets.
Only the hand-drawn crimson moon was left hanging at the barrier as it flashed with light.
The scene was strangely comedic for some reason, Elias couldn't help but chuckle
Elias withdrew his perception.
He resumed walking for a while.
Then paused. He raised his left hand to look at his empty wrist as if checking the time.
"It should start any time... Now" he said as he raised his hand to his left eye, his fingers moved to imitate a lens.
His vision traveled all the way to city of universities, Tingen.
It crossed the roads, reaching a modest apartment, and landing on a young man with black hair and a pale face who had just returned home with a back of groceries.
Klein Moretti.
He was preparing the ingredients for the Luck enhancement Ritual.
As if the last time hadn't literally ended his life.
But he doesn't need to know that for now.
'Makes you wonder, the celestial worthy must've been a really fun guy, to name a life sacrificing ritual "the Luck enhancement Ritual", scamming people, like poor Klein who didn't know better, out of their life'
'The audacity, truly the embodiment trickery and deceit'
After readying everything, Klein finally took out the four loaves of rye bread. He placed one in the corner where the coal stove was originally, one at the bottom inner side of the dress mirror, one at the top of the cupboard where two walls met, and one at the right side of the study table where miscellaneous items were kept.
Elias just kept watching, like watching a movie and waiting the climax.
With a deep breath, Klein came to the center of the room and spent a few minutes to calm himself. Then, he took a solemn step forward and went in a counter-clockwise direction in the shape of a square.
When he took the first step, he chanted in a low whisper, "Blessings Stem From The Immortal Lord of Heaven and Earth."
The second step, he sincerely chanted, "Blessings Stem From The Sky Lord of Heaven and Earth."
The third step, Klein breathed out a whisper. "Blessings Stem From The Exalted Thearch of Heaven and Earth."
At the fourth step, he spat out a foul breath and meditated in concentration. "Blessings Stem From The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth."
When he returned back to the original spot, Klein closed his eyes and waited in his place for an outcome. He had some anticipation in him, some unease, some hope, and some fear.
While Elias just stood there witnessing the habit of courting death take root in the heart of the young man.
It took some time for the ritual to move the rusty castle, and so he waited, until he witnessed Klein start to stagger in pain, holding his head like it was about to burst.
He tried to open his eyes, but the pain proved far too imposing.
And with a final scream, Elias saw the body fall to the ground.
But his gaze followed the spirit body that was ascending rapidly through the fog, until it stopped above the grey fog.
This mysterious place stretched endlessly.
At that moment, Elias disappeared from his place in the physical world and reappeared above the grey fog alongside the confused form of Klein.
