Scene 7 - A Strange Encounter Outside the Cave
Lucas (thinking): Wherever we go, I always forget to tell them... this game sometimes gets weird. Just like today.
Lucas walks out of the cave. He hears a technician speaking about a problem with the cave machine.
Technician: The cave machine is malfunctioning.
Lucas (worried): Oh no... my friends are still inside.
Technician: Don't worry. They'll come out soon. I'll fix it.
Lucas: Okay...
Suddenly, he sees a girl standing nearby-cool, confident, with a unique style, listening to music through her headphones.
Lucas approaches her.
Lucas: Hi there! I haven't seen you around before. Mind telling me your name, beautiful?
The girl ignores him.
Lucas: Alright, don't tell me where you're from. But just so you know-I don't mean to brag, but my father helped organize this park. Don't you think you should at least talk to me?
Girl (sighs): You're really annoying... Why don't I know you?
Just then, her father walks over.
Father: Oh, Lucas! What are you doing here?
Lucas: Uncle! I came with my friends to enjoy the park.
Father: What a silly question I asked. Of course you did.
Lucas: It's okay, Uncle. Nice to see you.
Girl: Dad, you know him?
Father: Of course! He's a really nice boy.
Girl: Hmm. I don't think so.
Lucas: So you're Uncle's daughter? I didn't know he had such an intelligent daughter.
Father: Oh, she just arrived today. She's studying chemical sciences at the Chemistry Academy.
Lucas: Ah, that's why I've never seen you before.
Father: Actually, you two met when you were little kids.
Girl: Oh...
Lucas: Hi, I'm Lucas. And you are?
Girl: Hello, I'm Zoey.
Lucas: Zoey. Nice name. Let's be friends.
Father: Zoey, go enjoy yourself.
Zoey (sighs): Fine...
Scene 8 - The Future Cave
Al Voice: Welcome. You have 30 seconds to view your future.
Kai: What? Only 30 seconds?
James: We worked so hard for this, and it's just 30 seconds?
Mili: Stop complaining, guys. Let's just see and move on.
Luna: Yeah, let's get out of this cave.
Mili steps in first to see her future.
Kai: What did you see?
Mili (hesitant): I... I saw nothing.
Luna: What happened? What did you see?
James: Yeah, are you okay?
Mili gets shy and glances at James.
Mili (shouting): I'll tell you later!
James enters the machine next. He sees a vision of himself proposing to Mili to be his girlfriend. Then the vision changes-they're having a fight, and she rejects him.
Kai: So... are you also not going to tell us?
James: The machine lets you choose a person to see your future with.
Kai: Who did you choose?
James: That's a secret.
Luna (to Mili): Who did you choose?
Mili (quietly): I'll tell you later.
Luna: Okay...
Kai goes in and chooses Luna. He sees something...
Kai (casually): It's just a game, right? We're taking it too seriously. Let's go.
Luna: You're not going to tell us either?
Luna wonders why no one is sharing. She enters and chooses to see her future with her mother. At first, she sees them together, then the future shifts-she sees Professor Nova chasing her. She's running.
Al Voice: You may view one more future. Choose wisely.
Luna: Really?
She chooses Kai. She sees him protecting her from Professor Nova.
Luna: Professor Nova... he's coming back.
Kai: No way...
Mili: That can't be true.
James: He's in jail!
Luna: I know... but I saw him.
Mili: Don't worry.
Kai: We'll be with you.
Scene 9 - Outside the Cave
The group exits the cave. Lucas runs toward them, worried.
Lucas: I'm so sorry, guys. There's something wrong with the cave machine-it's showing false futures!
James: What? (relieved)
Kai: Why?
Mili: Oh...
Luna: Are you sure?
Lucas: My dad told me the machine is malfunctioning. Are you all okay?
Mili: Yeah, we're all good.
Luna sees something-a Pokéball-shaped object. It's Meow.
Luna: Meow...?
She runs to it but misses.
Kai: What was that?
James: Who?
Kai: A cat named Meow. We'd be lost without her help...
Lucas: I've never heard of her.
Zoey walks up confidently.
Zoey: Hello, everyone. I'm Zoey, Lucas' friend. Aren't you going to introduce me, Lucas?
Lucas (confused): Oh, yeah-guys, this is Zoey.
She's my dad's friend's daughter. Zoey, these are my friends: Kai, James, Mili, and Luna.
Zoey (to Luna): You're Luna?
Luna: Yeah, that's me. So?
Zoey: You came from another universe-Earth, right? Wow, nice to meet you! Can you tell me more about your world?
Luna: Of course.
Zoey (to Mili): And you must be Mili.
Mili: Hi!
Zoey: You got a perfect score on the entrance exam. Impressive!
Mili: Yes. And you're Zoey, the one who won the Youngest CC Award, right?
Luna: Yeah, I heard about that too!
Zoey (smiling): Let's be friends!
Lucas, Kai, and James watch them.
James: Nerds.
They all go enjoy more rides. Later...
Kai: Luna, I'll drop you home.
James: Me too!
Mili: Ah ah! James, you can go by yourself.
James: What?!
Zoey: Hey Luna, Mili-want to ride with me?
Mili: You have a car?
Zoey: Yeah, let's go!
Kai: Bye!
James: Okay then, Kai, let's go.
Kai: You coming, Lucas?
Lucas: Nah, I've got work with my dad. You go ahead.
Scene 10 - Luna at Home
Luna is sitting on her bed, thinking about what she saw in the future cave-Professor Nova. She's anxious.
Luna's Dad: How was your day?
Luna: It was nice, Dad...
Days pass.
It's finally Open Day at the school.
