"Loki, you shameless traitor! How dare you deceive me!"
Laufey's eyes turned blood-red with rage as he watched "Loki" unleash the Destroyer to slaughter the Frost Giants.

When Thor and his companions had attacked Jotunheim previously, Laufey had recognized Loki as his lost child.
They had struck a deal: Loki would allow Laufey and the Frost Giants to infiltrate Odin's bedchamber and assassinate him.
Laufey would claim the Casket of Ancient Winters, and Loki would ascend to the throne of Asgard. A win-win for both.
