Chapter 56 - Astral clocktower

It's important to stress that the Guardian of monsters and Pneuma were separate entities.

People have tried to tie them together due to same ideology but no concrete connection made, "So I'm pulling a Klein moretti."

Nyx contemplated my plans and just said, "That's a stupid idea."

"I know, What's your point?"

————————————————

I began constructing a new dimension one that would eclipse anything I did before. I built a whole ass city inside.

The space is actually built at the edge of the cardinal world, acting as corridor that connects the cardinal world to other worlds. It wouldn't really have that much effect on the space between worlds but it would make the space hard to find from other strong forces.

I laid the foundation to allow people to stand in the this place without falling into infinity. The other reason I wanted the space to be at the border of the cardinal world is to have a good view. Looking at the sky, you would have a close up view of the stars and planets outside the cardinal world.

I decorated the area with old Victorian buildings. I wanted to create the same feeling as the Yharnam. I had even created biological abominations akin to the Amygdala's and made them walk around this place.

The Amygdala's were just biological failures that I created while experimenting, but they did come with Law manipulation as an intrinsic skil, which might seem powerful but due to their limited thinking capacity, it's pretty much a useless skill.

"Now for my specific place of residence in this eerie dreamscape. Or at least the perceived place of a god." I wanted to create something mysterious instead of grand, to invoke the feeling of an untouchable entity.

"Ok let's do this." A plan began to form in my mind, I decided on a clocktower… with a couple design changes.

————————————————

"Hello da-" Amanises attempted to greet me as I stepped out of a portal but couldn't finish in time as I went into my study.

I had decided to quite literally copy Lotm, sue me. I was gonna create a weapon that could bend it's form to my will, an artifact that could infinitely generates itself in fog form.

I was gonna create the grey fog of history. An artifact that could manipulate time to a certain degree. The problem was, how do I create this.

I spent an annoying amount of time trying figure out how I could possibly make an air-like weapon. Then it hit me, what if I merged metal with the properties of something gaseous like mist.

I thought about what to use to merge with the metal and then I thought of Velzard's ice, mist containing the properties of fixation.

I began creating a new batch of hihi'Irokane, which I do now by creating magisteel and and leaving it in a room with a mana reactor.

While that was going on, I was isolating the exact properties to extract from, not just the mist, but also to check what skills I wanted to ingrave into this creation.

When the Metal finally finished processing. I began the infusing process, crafting the the metal into a air-like substance and… surprisingly it worked, I honestly didn't have confidence it would work.

After that I kinda lost my mind and began infusing any skill I could find. I infused Gabriel increasing the efficiency of fixation.

I infused it with spacetime domination, time traveler and dimension leap, to increase the power of space and time beyond even the scope of the cardinal world's restrictions.

I also created a new skill that inverts Mathematician and merges it with Celestial haki, to create an effect that erases memories, or at the very least sends the mind into chaos, preventing them from forming any coherent thoughts. It also counters any analytical and appraising moves from working on it in anyway.

I merged Infinite regeneration and Parallel existence to create Infinite replication. Now the fog can generate itself infinitely.

In the process of creating this new tool of mine, I had merged Universal sense and Thought communication to create Sensory share, with the specific use of of seeing through the fog and anywhere it goes.

After 3 days of making my new world and this artifact to help manage it. I decided that a test run was in order.

"Milady, your cookies." Gabriel was currently tending to Ramiris's extremely lazy needs without complaint.

She was currently eating and laying down on the rocky floor, she looked like a complete neet, ready to fall asleep at any second. Until she felt something shift, she couldn't tell what but the labyrinth seemed to change without her authority.

There seemed to be something in the air, distorting the structure and foundation of the labyrinth. She could feel the rush of space, the slowing of time, something was moving around and devouring the spirits.

Looking at Gabriel, she could see her couldn't sense this invasive thing, despite it already being all around them. It seemed to be this living fog that had properties of space and time.

Despite his inability to sense the thing, he could feel the fear and urgency of his master, and his danger sense was currently firing off in his brain to an extreme degree.

He took Ramiris into his arms and flew off with Ramiris in a certain direction, using his danger sense to guide him.

Ramiris had constantly been changing the dimensions of the labyrinth but no matter what she did, no matter how much she tried to save the spirits under her care. She couldn't outrun it, she couldn't evade it, she couldn't block it and now she was cornered, literally.

The fog had blocked off all forms of escape, the dimensions around her had become to chaotic for her to control. She waited for her eventual demise until…

The fog receeded, the space she was in began to instantly stabilise and the spirits returned completely unharmed.

She had immediately dropped her lazy attitude and began assessing the damage of her labyrinth and spirits.

The labyrinth was fine but the spirits had spoke of something a little infuriating. Apparently, when the spirits were in the fog, they couldn't fathom what they saw, literally, they were apparently seeing too much at once, different places in space, different places in time.

What infuriated her was the voice, someone had spoken to them through the fog, someone named Chaos who proclaimed himself as the God of spirits… What the hell.

————————————————

Works like a charm, the gray fog can even contend with Ramiris in her own domain, using similar powers to overpower them.

The thing is I kinda copied Small world. I know it's not a bad thing but to take someone's ultimate skills but it still feels like I'm committing a felony.

But… Small world might be the last thing I need to perfect the Gray fog, allowing me to finally create spacetime worlds inside the fog.

[Initiating skill convergence]

The final step just happened naturally. All the skills I merged with the fog had come together to create Formless Eden. The new sub-skill under Hecate that represents my control over the gray fog and the world it controls.

[Evolution of the Ultimate skill: Hecate, lord of boundaries into the Ultimate skill: Yggdrasil, lord of worlds… successful]

In essence, the world I had constructed outside the cardinal world aswell as the gray fog I created to control and manage it had now become my skill and evolved my ultimate skill further.

With all that done, it was time to make a the center masterpiece of this world. It's pretty clear I had created was the spirit world from Lord of the mysteries with the gray fog hanging over it. All I need now is Sefirah castle, except this time it's gonna be a clocktower.

I began constructing the general shape of the tower, a simple clock tower with a rustic, Victorian design.

When the clocktower was finished, I had broken it down and put it back together again. The finished product looked like a broken clocktower with the rubble of the building being held together by the mystique fog, it's ethereal broken looking form reaching the stars. Although the outside looked broken, the inside was extremely vast.

"The spire of infinite worlds, the astral clocktower is now complete."

(A/N: it was only after I finished this chapter that I realized the clocktower was also unintentionally referencing bloodborne)

"Hello dad!" Amanises greeted me again and this time, I actually registered it.

"Hello sweetheart. How long was I gone?"

"About two weeks."

"Really, so there's still time to visit Shizu and make an impression on her students."

Amanises caught my words and felt an inkling of unease, "Do you intend to make a good impression?"

"Well you know what they say. God created the world in 6 days and on the seventh he pissed off his student and abused his student's students."
