Chapter 10: Are You a Fool, Nameless?
The God of Destruction looked down at the one standing before his throne.
"Nameless," he said coldly, "why have you come to my kingdom?"
Without a moment of hesitation, Nameless replied, "Father, I want your help."
The God of Destruction narrowed his eyes.
"Help? You and I fight each other every time we meet. We are rivals—enemies who would kill one another if given the chance. So tell me, Nameless… why are you offering your kingdom to your worst enemy?"
Nameless thought for a single second. Then he smiled.
"To be honest, there are three reasons."
"First," Nameless continued, "you are my enemy. Our rivalry has never been about kingdoms—it is personal. Even if it became a war of kingdoms and you defeated me, my kingdom would become yours. So why the hell would you destroy something that would belong to you?"
The God of Destruction remained silent.
"Second," Nameless said calmly, "you are a man of your word. When I was your student, you promised me that if I ever asked for one wish, you would grant it. I believe asking you to take care of my kingdom falls under that promise."
At this, the God of Destruction gave him a strange look.
"And third," Nameless said, his voice turning cold, "if you destroy my kingdom without mercy… I will destroy yours. I will hunt down every man, woman, and child in your domain until nothing remains. And you know I can do it."
Silence filled the hall.
The reasons were logical. Reasonable, even.
But the second reason was… absurd.
Because the truth was simple.
The God of Destruction had already fulfilled that promise long ago—when he was about to kill Nameless. Nameless had used that wish to save his own life.
And yet, again and again, Nameless twisted that same promise.
Once to learn cultivation.
Once to learn forbidden magic.
Again and again, for different reasons.
Still, somewhere deep inside, the God of Destruction carried the responsibility of a master.
That was when Nameless laughed.
"Fuck yeah," he said openly. "I'm greedy. I know it. I accept it. I am fucking greedy, Master."
He laughed like an idiot, completely shameless.
"And right now," Nameless added, his eyes sharp, "if you don't accept these conditions… I might just kill you."
The God of Destruction stared at him.
"So this is blackmail?"
"Yes," Nameless replied instantly. "This is blackmail. What the fuck are you going to do? Shut up and take care of it."
The God of Destruction finally used his power, peering into Nameless's true reason for coming.
The moment he understood, his rage exploded.
"Nameless!" he roared. "Are you a fucking idiot?! For this simple reason, you came to me—a ruler already drowning in responsibilities—and dumped your kingdom on my head?! You ruled countless kingdoms and you're still this immature?"
He pointed at Nameless with pure fury.
"Fuck you, Nameless. You fucking imbecile
