In a small dark alley behind a coffee shop, a figure opened his eyes.

It was currently nighttime, and all the surrounding shops and stores had been closed already. One could only hear the small chirps of bugs in the distance, nothing else.

He stayed still for a few seconds and then slowly sat up. After looking around for a bit, he suddenly disappeared.

On a distant building, which was taller than the others, the same figure reappeared.

He sat down on the edge of the roof and looked down, waiting, thinking.

And then, he finally spoke his first words since coming into this world.

"So it's really happening," Muzan said to himself in a low voice.

Yes, this figure was none other than Muzan himself.

'Honestly, it's so nice.' While he felt happy, very happy of course, the whole excitement had now calmed down a bit.

He was going on a long adventurous journey; he can't get excited every time he steps into another world.

And if he was moonwalking under the moonlight like a discount Michael Jackson while grinning like he's just won the lottery, well, that's just your imagination!!

'Ok, but seriously, I'm in a new world. I need to get more information on where I am and what the structure of this world is.' He needed to figure this out fast.

While he could leave whenever he wanted, he wasn't going to dip at the first sign of danger.

However, there are some scenarios he would very much not like to be a part of.

'Let's not even think about a few of them, because just thinking can be dangerous in some worlds.' He clicked his tongue and vanished once again.

Where was he going, you ask?

To torment some poor alley fellow, one he could hypnotize and extract information from.

'Oh wait! Why don't I just ask the system?!' Muzan facepalmed while coming to a stop on one of the rooftops again.

"Is this a curse of Muzan? I'm not going to become increasingly dumb as time goes on, right?" He asked himself and also called the system to talk.

[Notice: Hello, Host!]

[It is my pleasure to announce that you've successfully traversed to your very first world.]

[Congratulations on completing your first world travel!]

"Yeah, thanks a lot, but could you figure out a better way to travel than just throwing me across those world borders or whatever?"

While he was happy to travel, he was NOT happy to be sick and unconscious every time he traveled.

'But it's not that important! Right now, what's important is figuring out where I am and what I should be doing.' He thought to himself and addressed the system again.

"System, which world am I in right now? Is this some world I know of?" He asked cautiously. He would be happy to be in an anime or movie world, but some worlds are a bit too dangerous for the current him.

[Notice: Analyzing...]

[Notice: Host, it has been concluded that this is not a world the Host is aware of.]

[The system urges Host to explore by themselves.]

'Oh, that's a little sad, but ok. You can't have what you want every time.' He thought to himself.

He wasn't that sad or anything, of course.

It's unfortunate that he wasn't in a world he already knew of somewhat, meaning this world had no character he wanted to meet or some special scene or event he wanted to experience,

but he can't expect every world he goes to to be somewhere he knows of. That would be stupid, as the multiverse should be WAY too big, and it likely includes way more than just some thousand or so worlds that he had any idea of.

Not to mention that it would be boring if he only went to places he already knew of.

"Ok then, so the original plan it is." He nodded to himself and started searching for any unfortunate guy who was committing a crime at this moment of the night.

It was good to know the system could tell him which world he was in and if he already knew of it. Actually, wouldn't it be better to ask it before "take-off" next time?

...

"Damn, Muzan really left me his idiot curse!"

Next morning, the weather was just a little cloudy, not the kind that suggests rain, but more of a shady-sunny day.

Muzan walked the street, looking around at the architecture and the people going around him.

'After running around for a whole night and extracting information from a few people, I finally found out the structure of this world.' He thought while browsing through a few shops. There were things he needed to better integrate himself into this world.

'Right now, I am on an artificial island called the Asterisk. It is also more formally called the Hexahedron. The name is because of its hexagonal shape.'

'In this world, there was a global disaster called the Invertia many years ago. For three days and nights, meteors kept pounding Earth, turning the world upside down.' He bought a few things, which included daily necessities and a few clothes.

Of course, the money was secured by a willing donation from some very kind people.

'But this disaster also brought with it opportunities. A new race of superhumans was born after being affected by the radiation from those meteors.' Muzan walked a certain distance from the shops, turning into an alley, and after walking a few more steps, he vanished without a sound.

'This race of people is called Genestella. These Genestella people, are extremely strong and can use a special energy called Prana that they make in their body to enhance themselves further.' Muzan set down the things he bought and sat down on the tatami mats of his Infinity Castle, arranging the few things.

'These people are superhuman; like, an average Genestella is already the peak human from my original world. I'm talking about global, like Olympic-level athletes. And that's without the Prana enhancement.'

"But there's something I don't understand." Muzan stretched a bit, and after a few seconds, his body started shrinking.

"If Genestella are so strong, why exactly are humans still suppressing them?" After shrinking and transforming into the body of a teenager, he wore his new clothes and looked in the mirror.

"Hmm, well, it doesn't matter much to me." He smiled and changed his hairstyle a bit.

"I'm much more interested in the scientific discoveries of this world." He remembered seeing holographic technology and solid light structures in this world. That fascinated him.

"In whatever world you go to, science will be useful. While I can't use prana that the Genestella can use, that doesn't mean I can't learn their technology too." But then he stopped and stroked his chin with a thoughtful look.

"Well, I can't use prana unless I were to devour someone, devour a Genestella to be more precise." He thought and grimaced.

"Well, unless I find someone truly deserving of death, I won't do that. Sigh."

Muzan had made many promises and many vows in that white space. Most to others, some to himself.

One of the most important and repeated ones was to not hurt others, not to eat others, and all that. And while he couldn't promise that, since that's like giving up a huge advantage for him,

he did promise that he would never devour an innocent person ever again, unless they want to be devoured.

And yes, he did in fact leave that loophole there in case he needed it someday.

"Phew," exhaling a breath, Muzan finally looked good enough to go out. "Seriously, any boy or girl I've seen here, they're all very beautiful."

"Maybe a perk for being Genestella?" he thought, amused.

Anyway, his goal was simple in this world: research the scientific discoveries of this world, absorb that knowledge, and live and eat until he was full.

Oh yes, he also discovered that while he couldn't eat just about everything, he could eat all kinds of meat now. So yeah,

no more human meat.

After adjusting everything and setting a look that didn't make him look different from other people on this island, he vanished out of the Infinity Castle again.

(Narrator's Note!!!)

Now we talk about Muzan's new abilities:

After going through the white space trials and getting over the sins and negativity that weighed on the original Muzan, the MC gained a reward from the system.

A chance to choose three different Blood Demon Arts to be integrated into his body, without any conflicting structures or weaknesses.

In fact, those Blood Demon Arts would become extremely strong after integrating with him, since that would be like switching from small power cells to real-time lightning as your energy core.

The Demon Arts have been shown in this chapter.

The three Demon Arts chosen by Muzan are:

1. Dream Control

2. Infinity Castle

3. Blood Arrows

1. Dream Control is Enmu's Blood Demon Art. Enmu, being Lower Moon One, had quite a good Demon Art.

This ability had two main applications, those being sleep inducement and dream manipulation.

With the first ability, he can force anyone into a deep sleep. He can do this through different means, some more subtle like pheromones or scents and others like sounds and whispers. The slumber induced was very potent, and it took considerable effort to wake the victim up.

And the next ability is also quite powerful and very complementary to the first ability.

The second ability allowed him to enter, manipulate, and control someone's dreams when they are asleep. Whether it was inducing good dreams or nightmares, whether imagining fantasy or reliving a memory, all could be done through this ability.

This was also the ability Muzan used to extract information from the minds of the thugs he found in an alley.

But there's a third ability as well. Well, not a third separate ability, as it's a part of his second ability, but it's powerful enough to be called an ability itself.

When he creates a dream for the victim, he creates a dream dimension in their mind. This dream dimension is not infinite, but circular, with the dreamer at the center and a solid wall at the edge, quite a bit like a Minecraft border.

Anyway, by going through this border, one can leave the dream and enter the subconscious of the dreamer.

In this subconscious space, you are effectively in the victim's mind, and in here there is a thing known as the "Spiritual Core" or "Mind Core."

Should this core be destroyed, it effectively destroys the target's mind, leaving their body as an empty shell. It's like making someone brain-dead.

Anyway, after being used by Muzan, while this power didn't gain any extra ability other than great enhancements to its already existing abilities, it was a valuable ability.

2. Next is Infinity Castle, and I don't even know what to say about this one.

Is it really not smart to take a huge personal dimension you can enter and exit whenever you want?

No. It is the smartest thing to do.

There are so many things about the Infinity Castle that make it the most valuable power in Muzan's kit.

It has a huge space inside it, and while not exactly infinite, it is very big.

After Muzan's enhancement, it greatly expanded in all directions. A 10,000-mile space in all directions, with Muzan at the center of this space.

Yes, big.

Next is the ease of entering the Infinity Castle. It was already easy enough with the teleporting doors, but Muzan can now directly teleport inside.

He doesn't need to open a door on a solid surface; he can teleport inside and outside whenever he wants and wherever he wants.

Next is the manipulation of the Infinity Castle. Well, what can we say? It's as malleable as clay in his hands. He can shape it, extend it, bend it, and combine things however he wants.

He can make infinite mazes, can reverse gravity, or use the castle as a weapon, like throwing doors at people or straight up whole rooms!

Anyway, all in all, the Infinity Castle is the best support ability out of all Blood Demon Arts.

3. Lastly, we have the Blood Arrows.

What do you want me to say about this one? It's an underdog among the Blood Demon Arts.

Muzan was very conflicted about whether to choose this or Akaza's Blood Demon Art, but in the end, versatility won.

This Blood Demon Art belongs to a demon named Yahaba. Yahaba's Blood Demon Art allowed him to conjure and manipulate invisible red arrows by blinking the eyes on each of his palms.

He was capable of moving the arrows in any direction he pleased and could seemingly spawn as many as he wanted. Despite being intangible, Yahaba could manipulate matter and their interactions through their related vectors with his Blood Demon Art by forcing the desired target in whatever direction the arrow was pointing.

In short, he could control the speed and direction of the target with these invisible and intangible arrows. Also, these arrows work on both living and non-living things, meaning there's literally no flaws!

Vector control is an EXTREMELY powerful power, and this ability had way too many applications, like flight and speed enhancement or direction change in mid-air, etc.

After getting the boost from Muzan's use, the overall strength and control of this ability have been enhanced. Muzan can summon as many arrows as he wants, and, well, he can do whatever he wants with them.

To be honest? This is an EXTREMELY powerful art; its lethality is unmatched right now.

This is because Muzan can directly use a directional arrow and pierce someone's head, using that arrow to scramble their brain.

Hell, it would work.

Anyway, so yeah. These are the powers and rewards Muzan received from his system.

See you next time!
