Chapter 156 - Chapter 156: Evil Reaps What It Sows

Amanda's death warning didn't just make the Death Eaters she had suspended in the air tremble; it also forced some people in the crowd to step forward.

"You can't!"

Draco Malfoy broke free from his mother's grasp and rushed in front of his father, spreading his arms to shield him from Amanda's wand.

"My father and the others didn't do anything wrong! They're just some Muggles. Even if... even if they are to be tried, it shouldn't be you doing the judging!"

"Right, right! It shouldn't be you!"

As if he had caught onto a crucial point, Draco became agitated, gritting his teeth as he looked at Amanda.

Amanda's expression remained indifferent, looking at Draco as he stood before Lucius like she was looking at a fool.

She tilted her head with extreme apathy. "And? Draco Malfoy, have you not realized? Your father and his colleagues threatened the safety of Hermione and my friends. So, I am eliminating the threat. Isn't that perfectly normal?"

"And do you really think that by standing in front of your father, I wouldn't be able to kill both of you with a single spell?"

As Amanda spoke, a series of golden sparks sprayed from her wand in perfect coordination.

A wand and its master are perfectly matched. At this moment, Amanda's wand sensed its master's emotions and was also "itching for action," eager for the upcoming fight.

"Miss Amanda, everything can be discussed. There's no need to resort to such violence, don't you think?"

Seeing the golden sparks from Amanda's wand, Narcissa Malfoy hurried out from the crowd and subtly stood in front of her son.

"Discuss what?"

Amanda blinked. She looked back at the Muggle manager's family still lying on the ground, then turned back.

"It is true that Lucius Malfoy harmed Muggles, it is true that he enjoyed torturing them for fun, and it is also true that he threatened the safety of Hermione and the others."

"And if I'm not mistaken, when he and the other Death Eaters rushed at me just now, their target was clearly my life."

Although everyone present recognized the masks the Death Eaters wore, hearing Amanda mention the name so bluntly still made many people shudder and gasp.

"I can't exactly remain indifferent while they try to kill me."

Amanda's tone didn't fluctuate at all. She shook her head with a calm expression. "There is no such logic in this world."

Narcissa's expression froze completely. To be honest, she knew about the plan Lucius and the other heads of the Pure-blood families had.

It was just torturing a few Muggles to establish dominance and remind the Wizarding World not to forget the power of the Pure-blood families.

Although she didn't like them torturing Muggles like that, a few insignificant Muggles were indeed not worth her intervening with her husband.

Moreover, the prestige of the Pure-blood families did need to be maintained. Sacrificing a few Muggles was nothing unacceptable.

As for their collective plan to deal with Amanda and take the opportunity to kill her today...

Narcissa was aware of that too. She thought that no matter how powerful the girl Amanda was, she could at most take on one or two adult Wizards.

Facing so many heads of Pure-blood families, she was bound to die here, so Narcissa hadn't done much to stop it.

After all, it was a fact that she had struck a blow against the House of Malfoy. As a member of the Malfoy family, it was impossible for Narcissa not to want revenge.

But... she really hadn't expected that so many heads of Pure-blood families, so many adult Wizards...

...couldn't even withstand a single spell from this young girl, this young Witch.

Now, even the lives of her husband and son might not be safe!

Narcissa could ignore the lives of those Muggles and the life of an outsider like Amanda, but she couldn't ignore the lives of her husband and son.

Her wand continued to spray golden sparks. Amanda looked expressionlessly at the Malfoy family as they vied to stand in front of one another. "I'm sorry, but I don't think you need to argue over who stands first. I believe my spell is sufficient to send all three of you on your way together."

"Miss Amanda, I am very sorry that these heads of Pure-blood families have caused such fright and threats to you, Miss Granger, and your friends. However, could we please ask you to hand them over to the Ministry of Magic for processing?"

Amanda tilted her head calmly to her right. Mr. Crouch, whom she had met when sending Peter Pettigrew to prison, was leading Aurors from the Ministry of Magic out of the crowd.

"Good evening, Mr. Crouch."

Out of politeness, Amanda nodded at him, but she didn't lower her wand at all. Not only did she not lower it, but the golden sparks at the tip of her wand were now visibly turning into golden flames.

It would only take a thought from Amanda for those golden flames to turn into a raging inferno and consume the Malfoy family.

"Miss Amanda, regardless of the reason, killing someone in a public place is a criminal act. The Ministry of Magic will not stand idly by."

Seeing that Amanda had no intention of stopping, Mr. Crouch warned her sternly. The Aurors behind him also seemed to be stirring.

The corners of Amanda's mouth curled up slightly. These Ministry of Magic guys took the bait far too easily. She had been waiting for them to say exactly that.

"So, it's wrong for me to eliminate a threat to myself and my friends, and I need to be held accountable, while these Pure-blood families are innocent and don't need to be punished for harming Muggles and creating panic?"

"Don't tell me they still need to go through a trial to be convicted." Before Mr. Crouch could open his mouth, Amanda added this sentence, cutting him off.

What a joke. Based on Barty Crouch Sr.'s personality and the current situation, every possible statement or explanation he might blurt out was within Amanda's calculations.

So now, no matter what he said, it would ultimately be hollow and powerless.

"These people are all Death Eaters!" Amanda's voice suddenly grew louder. She looked around at all the spectating Wizards, some from the British Wizarding World and some from other countries.

"Every single one of them was on the Ministry's investigation list back then! And every single one of them escaped punishment by donating to the Ministry of Magic and successfully claiming in the investigation records that they were under the Imperio curse!"

The Wizards of the British Wizarding World were not surprised; the Pure-blood families had so much wealth and privilege. However, they still couldn't help but grip their wands tighter.

Why? Why could these guys be pardoned for anything they did and never face punishment?

Who knew how many of these people had the blood of their relatives on their hands.

The Wizards from other countries watched the scene with shock and curiosity.

To break the law, kill people, and still openly escape punishment—and most importantly, to be able to openly break the law again over ten years later and try to escape punishment once more.

The laws of the Y Country Ministry of Magic were quite a joke, weren't they?

These foreign Wizards were thoroughly enjoying the drama.

"These were the investigation results from back then. If Miss Amanda has doubts, we can..."

"House of Malfoy, ten million Galleons. Crabbe family, five million Galleons. Goyle family, five million Galleons..."

Amanda interrupted Mr. Crouch again, reciting the total amount of Galleons each family had paid to escape accountability from the Ministry.

"When Voldemort fell, the Malfoy family's business scope inexplicably shrank by thirty-eight percent, with an estimated loss of ten million Galleons in liquid assets."

"The situation for other families was basically the same. They cleared themselves and escaped all responsibility by donating money to the Ministry. There is no room for denial in this matter."

As Amanda spoke, more and more sweat poured down Mr. Crouch's forehead. What the hell? How could this young girl know all this so clearly?

Not a single one of the figures she mentioned was wrong—the amounts of Galleons those Pure-blood families had paid.

She had hit the mark on every single one. Terrifying. He now fully realized how terrifying this young girl was.

With strength that was clearly difficult to match and an almost unbelievable level of insight and reasoning far beyond ordinary people, Mr. Crouch would have wanted to recruit someone like her if possible.

But now Amanda was clearly standing on the opposite side, which was very bad.

And most importantly, all the other British Wizards around had clearly been incited by her.

Many were whispering about bringing the heads of those Pure-blood families to justice.

"They should be in Azkaban!"

"My brother was killed by Goyle and Crabbe together because he resisted Voldemort! They should be in Azkaban instead of still out here hurting people!"

"The Ministry of Magic has never done anything right."

Hearing the murmurs of the crowd, the smile on Amanda's face became brighter and gentler.

"Why is it that when people from these Pure-blood families break the law and kill people, they don't need to be tried or punished?"

"Why is it that when the Wizards who resisted Voldemort—Wizards from Pure-blood, Half-blood, or Muggle-born families—were killed by them, it was for nothing?"

"Is the Ministry of Magic actually standing with the people of the British Wizarding World?!"

"Or is the Ministry only standing with the powerful and wealthy of the British Wizarding World, regardless of whether they are good or bad, regardless of whether they support Voldemort, or even... regardless of whether they are Voldemort?"

Amanda's eyes narrowed slightly, directly checkmating the Ministry of Magic on the chessboard.

Betraying the people of the Wizarding World, openly supporting the powerful who harmed them, and even subtly supporting Voldemort—regardless of whether what she said was true or how much of it was true...

The British Wizards on the scene had been incited to such an extent that they only needed a small reason to "ignite."

Therefore, what Amanda said naturally had to be—and could only be—the truth.

This was the control of hearts; this was the utilization of the masses.

"Miss Amanda! Please watch your words. The Ministry understands your feelings and accepts your questioning, but the Ministry has never, and will never, side with You-Know-Who!"

"Words are cheap, but we haven't seen you lock these guys up in Azkaban."

"Exactly. You-Know-Who has been dead for over ten years, yet they can still act as Death Eaters. Who knows if the Ministry is behind this?"

"Could tonight's events have been coordinated between the Ministry and these Pure-blood families?"

"It looks like it!"

"Isn't she the girl who said she'd support another girl to become Minister for Magic after graduation? The Ministry criticized that heavily at the time. Are you colluding with these Death Eaters this time to commit murder by proxy?"

Amanda didn't even need to speak anymore. The British Wizards on the scene spoke up one by one, supporting her claims.

Who had given the families of the British Wizarding World more income? Who had stopped the Death Eater riot tonight? These were incredibly clear facts in their eyes. So, who should they support and speak for? Was there even a need to hesitate?

"Director Crouch." An Auror standing behind Mr. Crouch was dripping with cold sweat as he looked at the restless crowd in near terror.

"We can't let this continue. If this goes on, we might not even be able to leave."

So many adult Wizards... if they continued, a single spell from each person would be enough to "drown" them here.

Gritting his teeth, Mr. Crouch was about to speak, but Hermione spoke first.

It turned out that just before the Auror spoke to Mr. Crouch, seeing that her goal was almost achieved—the Ministry's already low credit and prestige were hit again, and the Pure-blood families couldn't escape—Amanda had secretly made a gesture to Hermione behind her back.

She signaled her to speak now to stabilize the situation, stop her, and further solidify the criminal facts against the Pure-blood families.

By doing these three things, Hermione would become the most brilliant person tonight and would naturally be seen by the surrounding Wizards as the leader of it all.

This would establish higher prestige for her, naturally stepping over the "bones" of the Ministry.

"The Ministry's actions have undoubtedly betrayed the people of the British Wizarding World."

Hermione stepped forward to Amanda's side. Her voice was firm and full of authority. She didn't look like a Young Wizard who had just finished her third year at Hogwarts at all.

Instead, she looked more like a leader who had been immersed in the political arena for many years, navigating its complexities and standing up for the people.

"The actions of these heads of Pure-blood families have undoubtedly crossed everyone's bottom line."

Along with Hermione's words, the surrounding British Wizards all shouted in agreement, saying she was right.

"Because Amanda is here today, we caught them."

"But if tomorrow Amanda isn't by your side, who will catch them to protect your safety? Who will catch them to provide justice to the people?"

"The Aurors? Will they? The Ministry? Will they put these people on trial?"

"No! No!! No!!!"

The surrounding crowd raised their right hands, their shouts echoing throughout the camp.

"Crazy, crazy, they're all crazy..." Crouch and the Aurors behind him murmured, watching helplessly as everything spiraled out of their control and raced toward an uncontrollable direction.
