Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: A Day Trip to the Ministry of Magic (Part 1)

The Patronus Charm cast by the two Professors together was clearly powerful; in less than a minute, peace returned to the sky above the Quidditch Pitch.

The bone-chilling cold brought by the Dementors also vanished without a trace.

In Amanda's line of sight, a small black speck-like object was flying rapidly into the distance; it was the flying broomstick that had slipped from Harry's control, the nimbus two thousand.

Reaching out toward the nimbus two thousand in the distant sky, Amanda gave a slow beckoning motion. "nimbus two thousand, Accio."

The next moment, the nimbus two thousand, which had been flying away, stopped instantly and was controlled to fly back toward her at high speed.

Snap! Catching the nimbus two thousand firmly in her hand, Amanda placed it on the ground beside her without any change in expression.

At the same time, Harry was slowly lowered to the ground by Headmaster Dumbledore. Noticing Hermione's face full of worry out of the corner of her eye, Amanda tilted her head and gently raised her hand again.

She and Hermione rose into the air simultaneously, floating toward the spot below the stands where Harry was located.

"Don't worry, Hermione. Harry wasn't kissed by a Dementor, and Headmaster Dumbledore slowed his fall. He'll be fine."

Amanda explained in a voice devoid of ups and downs, and the expression on Hermione's face softened considerably because of her words.

Landing smoothly beside Harry, Amanda pulled out her wand and cast several diagnostic spells on him.

Various colors of light instantly lit up on Harry's body as he lay on the ground, constantly feeding back his various physical indicators.

"His body is fine, there's no danger. His mind is overly tense due to the Dementors. I suggest staying in the Hospital Wing for a day to recover."

"It's good that he's okay, it's good that he's okay."

Hearing Amanda's words and seeing the results of her diagnostic spells, Hermione breathed a sudden sigh of relief.

Amanda mechanically raised her hand to make Harry float, and incidentally cast an Impervius and a Warming Charm on him.

Since he was unconscious, she should try to keep him from getting soaked, or he might easily catch a cold later.

"Harry!"

"Merlin, Harry!"

Exclamations rang out as the Young Wizards in the stands and the Quidditch players in the sky finally made their way down to the Quidditch Pitch one by one.

The rain today was simply too heavy; just identifying the direction to land was a struggle, otherwise it wouldn't have taken them so long to arrive.

"How is Harry?"

Ron, who rushed over first, asked anxiously; seeing him out of breath, one could tell how fast he had run.

"There's no problem. He's just mentally strained and exhausted. He needs a day of quiet rest."

"That's good..."

Ron patted his chest. "Damn Ministry of Magic. Are they sending Dementors here to protect us or to kill us?"

"Hah," Hermione gave a cold laugh and tossed her hair. "They think they can control creatures they can't control."

The Little Lions and Little Badgers who arrived later, as well as the Quidditch players from both sides, all breathed a silent sigh of relief seeing that Harry was fine.

"How is Mr. Potter?"

The Professors and Headmaster Dumbledore strode over. Nodding to Headmaster Dumbledore, Amanda expressionlessly "handed over" Harry to him.

"There's no problem, but he needs to stay in the Hospital Wing for a night to rest," Amanda stated the result for the third time.

"Thank you for your help, Miss Amanda."

Professor McGonagall smiled at Amanda before turning to signal Wood and the Weasley Twins.

"Wood, Fred, George, take Mr. Potter to the Hospital Wing. Headmaster Dumbledore and I need to handle some matters."

"Also, Angelina," Professor McGonagall said, handing her the nimbus two thousand, "this is Mr. Potter's flying broomstick. Please take it to him."

"Albus, I'll go with you to the Ministry of Magic, if that's alright."

Though Professor McGonagall spoke in the form of a question, her tone was one of unquestionable certainty; she even already had her wand in hand.

"Of course, Minerva. It so happens that, including the previous matters, we should have a good talk with Fudge."

Headmaster Dumbledore nodded with a kind smile, taking off his glasses to wipe them.

Amanda tilted her head and gripped the wand in her hand. "Can I go with you, Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall?"

"Miss Amanda, this matter..."

Professor McGonagall looked at Amanda with hesitation, not really wanting to take her along.

Children belong to the future; they shouldn't be involved in the current struggles.

As for the things Amanda had been planning before, at least she hadn't personally taken the field, had she?

If those Pure-blood families or people from the Ministry of Magic really came, they still had the Professors standing in front of them.

If it really came to the worst, they could just say Albus wanted to be the Minister for Magic and lead the British Wizarding World.

That would definitely be welcomed with applause by almost the entire British Wizarding World population.

But now that Amanda wanted to go to the Ministry with them, wouldn't that be equivalent to standing directly at the forefront? She didn't want her student to take this risk.

Professor Sprout, standing beside her, had the same thought. Both Professors simultaneously turned their gazes toward Headmaster Dumbledore in the middle.

Headmaster Dumbledore instantly felt as if something more had been placed on his shoulders. Bracing himself against the pressure, he looked at Amanda with a rare expression of serious earnestness.

"Miss Amanda, have you really considered this? Do you understand what kind of signal it will send to the Ministry and the Pure-blood families if you go?"

If Amanda had truly thought it through and decided to go, he wouldn't stop her.

Children should indeed grow up in a greenhouse, but if they are already prepared to face the wind and rain themselves...

...then as adults, they should provide the children with sufficient protection and give them enough support to move forward undeterred.

Rather than being hesitant and holding them back, preventing them from acting freely and moving forward bravely.

Amanda's face was devoid of expression as she nodded calmly.

"If I go, it means I am standing completely at the forefront, telling the Ministry and the Pure-blood families that many things currently happening in the Ministry are indeed related to me."

As for why they wouldn't think she was the one leading it, it was naturally because, with the arrogant way the people of the Ministry and Pure-blood families acted, they would never believe a Young Wizard of non-pure-blood origin could achieve all this.

They would rather speculate that Headmaster Dumbledore and the Hogwarts Professors wanted to seize power from the Ministry.

Yet they never carefully considered that with Hogwarts' influence and the abilities of Headmaster Dumbledore and the Professors, if they truly wanted the Ministry's power, it would be easily within their grasp.

Now, Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall clearly wanted to keep her from the Ministry to completely shift the attention of the Ministry and Pure-blood families away from her and onto themselves.

Amanda felt a warmth in her heart at this, but she couldn't trouble the Professors like that.

Moreover, "The Ministry was certainly behind The Daily Prophet incident as well; I haven't settled that score with them yet."

Amanda spoke in a cold, stern voice, and the chill in her tone made the Young Wizards standing in the rain feel even colder.

Hermione pursed her lips and reached out to gently take Amanda's hand. "You can go, but be careful."

"I will." Amanda nodded firmly.

After speaking, she turned her gaze toward Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall, her eyes asking if she could follow them to the Ministry.

"Sigh... children growing up."

Professor McGonagall sighed. Her expression seemed helpless, but in fact, her brow was filled with pride.

"Since you've all agreed, then Miss Amanda shall come with us."

"I'll help them take Harry to the Hospital Wing and wait for you to come back."

Hermione smiled as she reached out to help Amanda straighten the collar of her wizard robe.

"Okay."

Amanda nodded, her expression unchanged. After a slight pause, she added another sentence.

"If I return too late tonight and you're tired, Hermione, just go to sleep. Don't wait for me."

"Well..." Hermione blinked. "We'll see. Go on now. I know you're powerful, but be careful in everything."

Giving Amanda a light hug, Hermione whispered her instructions.

"Mm, don't worry, Hermione. I definitely won't let anything happen to me."

Amanda agreed in a flat tone, silently recalling Hermione's previous advice in her mind: one shouldn't easily take a life; others' lives and one's own life should both be cherished.

With all the instructions finished, Amanda turned to follow Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall out of the Quidditch match.

Hermione watched Amanda's back and curled her lips into a smile, then turned to follow the others in taking Harry to the Hospital Wing.

"Take my hand, Miss Amanda."

It wasn't until they stepped outside the grounds of Hogwarts Castle that Professor McGonagall reached out her left hand toward Amanda.

Amanda nodded calmly, stepped forward, and took Professor McGonagall's outstretched hand.

She knew exactly what Professor McGonagall was going to do: use Apparition to travel to the Ministry of Magic.

This was a very convenient magic frequently used by Wizards.

It allowed Wizards to teleport within a certain range, thereby achieving the goal of traveling quickly.

However, because Apparition was forbidden at Hogwarts, Amanda had not been able to successfully self-teach this spell.

Following Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore into a telephone booth by the road, Amanda surveyed the surroundings with indifferent eyes.

The last time she came to the Ministry, she had followed Professor McGonagall through the Floo Network, so this was Amanda's first time traveling to the Ministry this way.

The structural diagram of the Ministry she had constructed last time surfaced in her mind. Combined with the current telephone booth, she immediately mapped the entire Ministry to the underground of the current street, completely locking onto the Ministry's specific location and which part of the Ministry this telephone booth led to.

The telephone booth began to operate, and by the time Amanda stepped out of it with Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall, she had completely confirmed that her judgment was correct.

"Headmaster Dumbledore..."

"Professor McGonagall?"

The employees passing to and fro in the Ministry all felt a tightening in their hearts when they saw their former Headmaster and Professor, followed by a joy similar to a reunion with old friends.

Everyone coincidentally set aside the tasks in their hands.

"Good afternoon, Headmaster Dumbledore. How do you have the time to visit the Ministry?"

"Good afternoon, Professor McGonagall. Why have you come to the Ministry as well?"

"Who is this Young Wizard?"

Everyone greeted the two Professors warmly, and many people smiled and waved at Amanda.

Only the Ravenclaw graduates working in the Ministry looked at her and nodded secretly, exchanging glances and guessing the purpose of her visit to the Ministry today.

"Ah, Mr. Wease, Miss Lofty, good afternoon."

Headmaster Dumbledore greeted them cheerfully, waving his hand as if he wanted everyone in the Ministry to know they had brought Amanda along.

"We've come because we wish to speak with Minister Fudge."

Professor McGonagall added with a smile from the side, coordinating with Headmaster Dumbledore's actions.

What they wanted was to let everyone in the Ministry know they had arrived and what they intended to do.

This way, regardless of how things turned out or what problems arose later, Fudge wouldn't be able to use this incident to his advantage.

Before they could say more than a few words, a short, stout woman dressed in pink walked over and called out in a shrill, sickly-sweet voice.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall. Minister Fudge knows you're here and has specifically made time for me to take you to see him."

Headmaster Dumbledore stroked his beard. "Very well, please thank Cornelius for me."

After saying that, he led Amanda and Professor McGonagall into the elevator behind Umbridge. Professor McGonagall nodded to Umbridge without saying another word.

Umbridge's face flickered for a moment before quickly returning to normal. She stepped quickly into the elevator and looked down at Amanda with a beaming smile.

"This must be Miss Amanda. I can take you on a tour of the Ministry. Given your friend Miss Granger's future dreams, you can describe the Ministry's environment to her when you return."

"Of course, entering the Ministry is quite difficult; it takes more than just a dream."

"Dolores, our student will naturally be coming with us..."

Professor McGonagall frowned at Umbridge, her voice stern, but before she could finish, Amanda directly extended a finger and tapped lightly on the air in front of her.

The next moment, blue magical light slowly emerged and intertwined in the air, perfectly presenting an intricate set of streets.

Presented along with it was the Ministry of Magic directly below, deep underground.

Seeing the "projection" of the Ministry and the streets above, Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore made no attempt to hide their smiles, while the expression on Umbridge's face froze.

"I have already clarified the basic structure of the Ministry building and the streets above it. There is no need for you to take me to familiarize myself with it. Thank you for your kindness."

"Furthermore," Amanda reached out expressionlessly and tapped a spot in the center of the "blueprint," "if my analysis and judgment are not mistaken, the Minister for Magic's office is right here."

Fudge himself placed extreme importance on power and was self-centered; therefore, the location of his office would inevitably be at the central point of the Ministry.

Sure enough, after Amanda pointed out that location, Umbridge's face turned completely black.

As soon as she arrived, she performed Wandless and Non-verbal Spells to depict the Ministry and the streets above, and even marked the Minister's office.

Was this girl showing off her power? Clearly, she had already forgotten that she was the one who first tried to give Amanda a show of authority.

No... Umbridge silently rejected her own thought. She was just a Young Wizard, and not even one from a Pure-blood family.

How could she know the Ministry? How could she know Wandless and Non-verbal Spells? It must be those two old fogies next to her helping. Yes, it must be!
