Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: The Destiny

The conversation between Elysia and Kiana was heard by another figure in the kitchen.

Mei leaned against the kitchen door, her arms crossed over her chest, her face flushed crimson.

For Kiana, Mei had gradually fallen for her, from initial curiosity, to the confusion when Kiana selflessly saved her, and then to Kiana's trust in her.

It turned out that not only was Kiana in her heart, but Mei was also in Kiana's heart.

She was very grateful for Elysia's conversation.

Mei covered her mouth and chuckled. Indeed, whether it was Kiana or Elysia, they were both like that; no matter when, they would inadvertently attract people's attention and then make those people deeply immersed in their gentleness or bravery.

Mei patted her face, calmed down, and then walked out of the kitchen with the dishes, "Alright, dinner is ready, you can come and eat. Teacher Himeko and Dean Theresa have other things to do today, so they won't be eating with us."

"Okay, Mei!" Hearing Mei's voice, Kiana quickly ran to Mei's side.

Elysia watched Kiana become lively again and breathed a sigh of relief. Indeed, she still preferred such a lively Kiana; just seeing her made her feel less tired.

After walking a few steps forward, Elysia noticed Bronya was still standing in place, so she turned back and took Bronya's hand, "It's time to eat, Bronya, don't just stand there daydreaming. If there's anything, you can think about it after dinner, because cute children shouldn't go hungry ♬~"

Bronya looked up at Elysia, then looked at the hand holding hers.

At the dining table.

"By the way, Kiana, eat slowly, no one is snatching your food," Mei said, looking at Kiana with doting affection.

"It's fine, Mei!" Kiana swallowed the food in her mouth and said energetically.

For dinner this time, Kiana was unusually quiet, seemingly lost in thought.

It was a harmonious dinner, with one person radiating enthusiasm, another radiating love, one radiating musical notes, and another radiating numbers.

Himeko returned home very late that night and breathed a sigh of relief upon arriving.

When Himeko returned, she had already seen that the lights on the second floor were out, so her movements were very light.

But as Himeko went upstairs and opened her room door, Elysia, dressed in her pajamas, pushed the door open and walked out.

"Sister Himeko, you're back," Elysia whispered.

"Hmm, did I disturb your sleep?" Himeko scratched her head, even though her movements had been very light.

"No, I woke up on my own. Is something wrong, Sister Himeko?" Elysia saw the fatigue on Himeko's face.

"Nothing," Himeko said with a wry smile, shaking her head.

"Then, has Sister Himeko eaten yet?"

"Eat... not yet." Looking at Elysia's eyes, Himeko still told the truth.

"Then I'll go make some for Sister Himeko," Elysia said, walking downstairs.

Himeko sighed and followed her down.

"By the way, has Theresa not returned?"

"Theresa, she went to deal with someone." At this, Himeko sighed again.

"Sister Himeko, please wait for me in the living room for a bit. I'll just make some simple dishes, it'll be quick," Elysia said, walking into the kitchen and then taking down the apron hanging on the wall.

And since it was late and time for bed, it was better to make something simple.

She took out the leftover porridge from the refrigerator, then a piece of meat from which she cut some diced meat, and finally an egg.

It was done quickly, as the porridge was already made, just a bit cold, so heating it up was all that was needed.

When she brought it to Himeko, Himeko was still thinking about other things.

Only when the bowl was placed down did Himeko come back to her senses.

"Sister Himeko, has some important person come to the Academy? Does Theresa even need to deal with them?" Elysia was a little curious, wondering who would come at this time.

"Sigh, I might as well tell you directly," Himeko said with a sigh.

"Headquarters, that is, Schicksal Headquarters, sent someone to inspect the Academy. Theresa went to deal with the person who was sent," Himeko said with some helplessness. Although St. Freya Academy was relatively independent from Schicksal Headquarters, it still relied on Schicksal after all.

"Is the person who came difficult to deal with?" Elysia was a little puzzled.

"Not difficult, it's just that Theresa finds that person difficult to handle," Himeko thought about the person who came and sighed, "The person who came is from the Bishop's personal squad."

"The Bishop's personal squad? Schicksal's Bishop?"

"Yes, I forgot to tell you before, Theresa is the granddaughter of Schicksal's Bishop. This time, besides coming to see Theresa, they also came for..." Himeko said, looking upstairs.

"Are they coming to see Mei?" Elysia blurted out.

"That's right," Himeko took a sip of porridge and then smiled wryly, "After all, Mei's identity is still too sensitive, so the Bishop sent someone close to him."

"Is the person who came very strong? With Theresa's status, she wouldn't need to consider ordinary people, would she? After all, she's the Bishop's granddaughter."

"The person who came is the vice-captain of another Valkyrie squad," Himeko said.

"Then will this vice-captain be here for a long inspection?"

"Not long. After all, every Valkyrie squad is very busy. According to my estimate, if it's fast, it'll be about a week. If it's slow, it'll be after this semester's final exam," Himeko stated her guess.

"Then isn't there any problem? We haven't done anything to harm Schicksal, and isn't Mei studying well here? Mei is such a gentle child, this inspecting vice-captain shouldn't make things difficult for her, right?" Elysia said with a smile.

She then took the empty bowl of porridge that Himeko had finished.

"Alright, Sister Himeko, don't think so much. Staying up late is not good for a girl's skin, you might get wrinkles, so you should go rest quickly ♬~" After saying that, Elysia went into the kitchen with the bowl to wash dishes.

Listening to the sound of running water in the kitchen, Himeko chuckled silently, "To be cared for by a child, huh? Yes, what is there to be afraid of? At worst..." Himeko whispered, then stood up and walked towards the stairs.

After Elysia finished washing the dishes, she saw Himeko waiting for her at the staircase, smiled, and walked over.

"Alright, since the inspector has already arrived and we can't avoid it, let's just show everything openly. Come on, let's go upstairs and sleep," Himeko's words were free of her previous worries.

"Hmm, that's more like Sister Himeko. Let's go to sleep."

The two walked upstairs together. As Himeko was about to enter her room, "Sister Himeko, good night, I wish you sweet dreams ♬~" Elysia then slipped into her own room and closed the door.

Looking at the other closed door, Himeko smiled, "That little girl." Then she shook her head and walked into her own room.
