Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: A Few Days Later

It was morning once again.

Sunlight spilled onto Elysia's cheeks as the girl, lying in bed, reached a hand out from under her covers and placed it on the alarm clock.

"Ding…" The moment the alarm clock rang, the hand on it had already silenced it, letting it remain quiet.

Then the hand retreated back into the covers.

Indeed, an alarm clock is only useful if you wake up earlier than it, otherwise, if you don't want to get up, you just won't.

After a little while longer, the girl on the bed opened her eyes.

She sat up, stretched, and then began to put on the clothes she would wear today.

Today, Elysia was officially joining St. Freya Academy to study, so it was better to dress a bit more formally today.

St. Freya Academy did not have a fixed uniform; it was entirely up to the students' choice, but the clothes still needed to be convenient for activity, as there were combat training classes, after all.

Elysia took out her Moth of the Fire Chasers combat uniform, which she hadn't worn for several days. Although she could make the clothes appear directly on her body, the process of putting on clothes herself felt better.

She picked up the phone she had bought a few days ago.

Yes, several days had passed since that dinner.

During these days, Elysia had explored the academy and added many things to her room, all of which Theresa reimbursed, of course.

As for why she was starting school today, it was, of course, because today was Monday.

Monday, the start of the week.

She transformed her compound bow into a necklace and put it on.

Yes, Elysia had also turned her weapon into a necklace, just like Judah.

This was for convenience of carrying and to prevent losing it.

After washing up, Elysia looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. The originally somewhat serious Elysia instantly became gentle. Indeed, her current hair color still affected Elysia's inherent temperament.

As she went downstairs, she already smelled the aroma of Mei's breakfast.

In this house, Mei was always the earliest riser.

It wasn't that the earliest riser had to make breakfast; Mei chose to do it herself. At first, Elysia had discussed with Mei whether they should take turns making breakfast, but Mei refused.

Because Mei refused so firmly, Elysia didn't bring it up again, but Elysia still helped out; Elysia wasn't one to just enjoy things without contributing.

"Good morning, Mei! ♬~" Elysia walked into the kitchen and greeted Mei.

"Mm, good morning, Elysia." Mei turned her head and glanced at Elysia. "Are these the clothes you wore when you first started?"

"As expected of Mei, I didn't think you'd still remember my original appearance! ♬~" Elysia teased. After putting on an apron, she stood beside Mei, helping her out.

"Elysia, it hasn't been that long, and your outfit really left a deep impression on me." Mei didn't stop what she was doing, she just moved a little to the side, making some space for Elysia.

After a few days of getting to know each other, the two of them were incredibly in sync when making breakfast.

"Mm-hmm~ Then, Mei, can you tell me what your impression of me was when you first saw me? ♬~" Elysia first looked at the ingredients already present and the millet porridge already simmering, and she knew what breakfast Mei was going to make.

A very traditional Chinese breakfast: steamed buns and porridge.

"Hmm…" Mei thought back to their first meeting, in front of the room door, seeing Teacher Himeko leading a very capable-looking girl. "Elysia, you gave me a very serious feeling back then. At that time, I thought you were a Valkyrie sent by the higher-ups of Schicksal to monitor me."

"So, Elysia's first impression on Mei was that bad? Elysia is a little sad now; Elysia is about to shed little pearls! ♬~" After saying that, Elysia even pretended to cry a couple of times.

"Elysia, let's not play around anymore, let's finish making breakfast first." Mei sighed.

Now, Mei's impression of Elysia no longer felt serious, even when she was wearing this very capable and practical outfit.

She couldn't quite explain why, but Mei really liked being with Elysia, to the point where even Kiana was a little jealous.

Elysia's image had changed from the initially serious Valkyrie to the current warm, playful, occasionally intimate, and very comforting older sister, or rather, someone even closer.

Mei suddenly shook her head vigorously, then secretly glanced at Elysia.

"What's wrong, Mei? ♬~" Seeing Mei's strange movements, Elysia asked with a smile.

"Nothing." Mei quickly focused on the task at hand. Indeed, she still couldn't get used to Elysia's gentleness.

"If there's anything, remember to say it in time, Elysia will listen carefully! ♬~" Elysia said while wrapping the steamed buns in her hands.

"Mm, got it." Mei said so with her mouth, but her heart was already churning. How could she possibly say such a thing?

And it wasn't just her; even Kiana and Bronya now couldn't completely escape this damn gentleness.

Elysia, you've really harmed people deeply!

Then Mei remembered that Elysia was officially starting school today.

Mei felt sorry for the classmates who would soon become immersed in Elysia's gentleness.

The probability of Valkyries graduating and establishing a family was already low; with Elysia around, it would become even lower.

After all, once you've experienced gentleness, when you want to get rid of it, you won't be able to!

In just a few days, their place had completely fallen; how long could the students at school last?

Through their efforts, they finally wrapped enough steamed buns for all six of them.

Looking at the two full rows of steamers, Elysia felt a little emotional. Indeed, the kitchen had every cooking utensil imaginable. Whose home would have so many steamers?

"Alright, Elysia, now we just have to wait. When they wake up, we can take out the steamed ones." Looking at the neatly arranged steamers, Mei also breathed a sigh of relief. If it were just her, with so many, she didn't know how long it would take to wrap them all.

"Mm, now let's both rest for a bit, and then when the time comes, we'll go wake them up! ♬~" As she spoke, Elysia even poked Mei's face a few times with her flour-dusted finger.

Looking at the flour marks on Mei's face, Elysia laughed happily.

Mei had already felt it when Elysia made her move, but she didn't dodge. After all, it was Elysia; there was no need to dodge.

After Elysia had drawn on her face, Mei also smiled and drew a few lines on Elysia's face.

"Alright, Elysia, let's not play around anymore. Clean up, and then go rest for a bit." Mei dodged Elysia, who wanted to draw a few more lines.

"Eh, alright, since Mei has said so, then Elysia will let you off! ♬~" Elysia walked to the sink, first washed the flour off her hands, then took off her apron and hung it on the wall before walking out of the kitchen.

It wasn't that she wasn't going to clean the flour off her face, but it was inconvenient to clean it in the kitchen.

She walked into the bathroom on the first floor, pulled out a wet wipe from the shelf, and began wiping the flour off her face in front of the mirror.

After Elysia left, Mei also walked into the bathroom.

The two sat together in the living room watching TV, and when they saw that the time on the TV was about right, they both stood up. As they got up, they exchanged a glance and smiled together.

Then the two of them went upstairs together to wake up the sleepyheads who were still asleep.

Mei was responsible for waking Kiana and Bronya, while Elysia was responsible for Himeko and Theresa.

You ask what if the room doors were locked? Don't worry, after these few days of living together, Elysia and Mei were already the owners of this house! The keys to all the rooms were in their hands!

Elysia first knocked on Sister Himeko's door. "Sister Himeko, it's time to get up." After calling a few times and still getting no response, Elysia directly twisted the doorknob and walked in.

Mei, on the other hand, went to wake Bronya first. Bronya was very obedient; she was already awake and responded when Mei knocked on her door.

Now, Mei only needed to wake Kiana. To wake Kiana, Mei directly opened the door and walked in, with no intention of knocking at all.

Elysia, who had walked into Sister Himeko's room, sighed as she looked at the messy bed. She felt that Sister Himeko's initial impression on her was almost completely ruined.

Sister Himeko was lying on her side on the bed, hugging the comforter, with most of her body exposed.

"Sister Himeko, Sister Himeko? It's time to get up." Elysia sat on Sister Himeko's bed and gently patted Sister Himeko twice.

As Sister Himeko opened her blurry eyes, Elysia greeted her, "Good morning, Sister Himeko, it's time to get up."

Then Elysia walked to the window and directly pulled open the curtains, letting the light from outside stream in.

Sister Himeko sat up groggily, yawned, and said, "Good morning, Elysia."

Then Sister Himeko slowly got up and walked directly to the wardrobe, taking out a new set of clothes from inside.

Elysia watched Sister Himeko's actions, helped Sister Himeko tidy up the bed, then took out a small box from the corner of the room, picked up all the clothes scattered on the floor, and put them inside.

Elysia walked behind Sister Himeko, helped her tidy her hair, then helped Sister Himeko smooth out her clothes, and then said to Sister Himeko, "Sister Himeko, go wash up, and then you can go downstairs and wait at the dining table for breakfast. I'll go call Theresa first."

"Mm, got it." Looking at the already tidied bed, Sister Himeko sighed, feeling that she would eventually be spoiled. Then she followed Elysia out of the room to wash up.

In front of Theresa's door, Elysia knocked and called, but there was still no movement inside. Elysia directly took out the key to Theresa's room from her pocket. She didn't even need to try to know that Theresa's room door must be locked from the inside.

After opening it, Elysia looked at Theresa on the bed, then walked directly to the window and pulled open the curtains.

Then Elysia greeted Judah, which was placed in the room, "Judah, good morning."

Judah flashed twice, which was a response to Elysia's greeting.

Elysia didn't know why, but she just felt like she should greet Judah. After getting a response for the first time, Elysia would greet Judah every time she called Theresa.

Then Elysia stood in front of Theresa's bed and gently shook her. "Theresa, Theresa, it's time to get up."

After calling several times and seeing that Theresa still didn't move, Elysia knew that Theresa must have secretly read comics again last night.

She picked up all the scattered comics in Theresa's room and then placed them on the bookshelf.

"Theresa, it's time to get up. If you don't get up soon, your comics will be gone."

"I wasn't reading comics!" Hearing "comics," Theresa immediately sat up. Upon seeing it was Elysia, Theresa breathed a sigh of relief. "Elysia, can you please not always scare me?"

"As long as Theresa can get up on time, then Elysia won't scare you! ♬~" Elysia said with a smile. "Alright, don't stay in bed anymore, it's time to get up."

"Got it, got it." Theresa said, yawning.

Looking at Theresa like that, Elysia directly picked her up from under the covers. "Judah, help me dress Theresa."

As soon as Elysia's voice fell, several chains extended from Judah, wrapped around clothes, and arrived beside Theresa. The chains quickly helped Theresa get dressed, and even her hair was already tidied.

Elysia took the opportunity to tidy up the bed.

When she was dressed, Theresa was still a little groggy. "Theresa, after you wash up, you can eat."

"Mm, got it." Theresa stumbled off to wash up.

Elysia, meanwhile, took a wet wipe from the room and wiped Judah.

After wiping, Elysia nodded, then left Theresa's room.

Everyone had been called, and it was time to eat.
