Chapter 54 - Chapter 54

Kakashi watched and felt, through his observation, as the train fell straight down, unable to cross the bridge as in the original.

The samurai threw their arms up in celebration, watching the train plummet what looked to be 200 feet(60.96 meters). Koyuki let herself fall on her butt on the snow, memories of the night.

The proud warriors that had gathered broke down into tears; the weight they had carried was gone, their tyrant dead, and their people now free from his iron grip.

"Everyone."

Kakashi's voice broke through their joy, voice grave and a bit disbelieving at what he was feeling.

"Doto and everyone else on that train are still alive, and they're rapidly coming back up."

Kakashi was proven right about 5 seconds later as a sharp train whistle sounded out before it came into view, chakra glowing from the bottom and sticking to the mountain it was running up.

'I want that train.'

Kakashi immediately thought, admiring the train's engineering as it made it back to the surface and continued on the tracks without issue, the intense glow of chakra dimming and fading as it sped away.

"Sensei."

Kakashi turned at the sound of Naruto's voice to see Naruto, along with Koyuki, Sasuke, and Karin, walk up to him.

"Yes?"

"I managed to put my mark on the big guy's armor."

Kakashi smiled.

Can you teleport the entire team into the train? Plus Koyuki?"

Naruto nodded without a second thought before Kakashi placed a hand on his shoulder, followed by the other three, vanishing in the next moment and appearing next to Mizore, who was swiftly bound and had chakra suppressing seals on his armor and neck, along with paralysis seals courtesy of Karin.

"Sasuke, his armor won't stop you from using genjutsu now."

Sasuke stepped up and activated his Sharingan, Mizore spilling the location of Doto, along with information about the train and everyone he knew about.

Once that was done, Kakashi yanked the armor off the brute piece by piece and sealed it into a scroll before opening a large window and tossing him out into the snow.

"Naruto and Sasuke, you'll deal with Nadare. Karin, you get Fubuki. Koyuki, stay with me."

Kakashi pointed out the direction they needed to go, creating two shadow clones to follow Karin just in case, trusting her but not wanting to chance it.

Kakashi strolled from compartment to compartment casually, and a few of Doto's men still on the train didn't react in time before they were knocked out with simple chops.

'A bit tacky, but that can be changed.'

Kakashi observed the interior, which screamed 'third-rate villain' with a wince.

'Such a magnificent train, but the inside ruins the image. I imagine this is somewhat akin to if Jiraiya saw a promising bath house but only realized it was an all-mens bathhouse after he got an eyeful.'

"Stop right there."

A grunt shouted before shooting a thin, wiry weapon at Koyuki, Kakashi's hand snapping out and grasping it before frying the man with a burst of purple lightning.

"Thanks for that."

Koyuki sighed, having tensed after being shouted at.

"You're welcome, now, let's go meet with your loving uncle."

Koyuki gave Kakashi a deadpan stare at the poor joke.

"Yeah, it sounded better in my head."

- Sasuke and Naruto -

Before entering the area where Nadare was, Naruto placed a mark on two of Sasuke's normal kunai.

Turning at the sound of the compartment door being opened, Nadare tensed, wearily looking around.

"Our sensei isn't with us."

Sasuke spoke before reaching back and unsheathing his blade before charging, Naruto following closely behind with two kunai in his hand.

Flicking his wrist, Nadare's hidden short blade appears above the back of his hand, and he blocks Sasuke's initial slash, pushing him away to smack away Naruto's kunai, knowing to be wary of them.

Naruto threw his other kunai, with wind manipulation, and Sasuke recovered and leaped to the side of the room, running at Nadare from a different angle, lightning chakra crackling along his blade as he leaped at Nadare.

Nadare flicked his other wrist, now two blades, both humming with a cold chill, having to remain on the back foot as he avoided Sasuke's blade and Naruto's kunai.

"Ice Style: Frozen Tiger."

Naruto dodged to the left as a large tiger formed and tried to take his head off with a slash, kicking out with his right foot and cracking the side of the tiger's face.

'Damn, that thing is tough.'

He thought as he leaped up to the rolled out of the way of icy jaws.

"Naruto."

Naruto spared Sasuke a glance and immediately understood, creating a Rasengan in his hand.

Sasuke threw the kunai; Nadare blocked it, but this one landed right in front of him, Nadare not sparing the normal kunai any thought.

In that split second, Sasuke turned his back to Nadare, confusing him, but a yellow flash appeared below him, and he didn't have time to think, let alone react, before a large orb of chakra slammed into his armor.

"Haha, you fool, I can absorb chakra."

Nadare mocked at the apparent idiocy of the blonde before he noticed the Rasengan wasn't shrinking, but instead getting bigger and bigger by the second, his armor burning his skin at the quantity and quality of the chakra it was absorbing.

The agonized screams of Nadare rang out as his skin began to sizzle, his eyes drooping as he slowly passed out from the intense pain.

'Crap… Kakashi sensei wanted this armor.'

Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and winced at the chakra burn victim on the ground. Pieces of chakra armor were fused with burned flesh, and it wasn't a pleasant smell.

Naruto slid Sasuke's kunai across Nadare's throat, turning to see Sasuke sheathe his blade. The ice tiger was cut into many pieces.

"I don't think he'd mind losing one set."

Sasuke said with a shrug, not really caring about it either way.

"Yeah… maybe."

Sasuke and Naruto walked out after Naruto salvaged the armor pieces he could.

- With Karin -

Karin ensured she had all the supplies she needed before stepping into the room and locking eyes with her target.

"What? Who did you-"

Fubuki shook her head.

"Not important right now, you should be a nice hostage."

Fubuki ran at Karin, a katana made of ice forming in her hands as she sliced in a diagonal slash, followed by a jab and horizontal slash, all of which were dodged by a hair's breadth.

Karin threw three kunai at her head, causing the rapid sword strikes to halt to deflect them.

Karin quickly used this time to retrieve a couple of scrolls and create five shadow clones.

The five clones charged, not committing to attacks that would get them destroyed, mostly water jutsu that Fubuki absorbed.

"What exactly is your plan, brat?"

Karin didn't bother to reply as the 5 clones suddenly stopped, formed, and simultaneously ran through the required seals.

"Multiple String Light Formation!"

Fubuki tensed, her body paralyzed in the middle as the real Karin bounced the scrolls in her hand.

"Hope you enjoy this present of mine."

Karin smirked, tossing the scrolls up into the air and running out of the compartment, halfway to the next compartment, before a shout of 'No!' was heard before the last two compartments were incinerated from the backside of the train.

Karin stopped, her adrenaline pumping as she caught her breath.

'I hope Sensei doesn't get mad about the train compartments, he seemed to really like it.'

Karin thought with an embarrassed blush, unknowingly sharing the same emotions as Naruto in this moment.
