That was true,
He was gonna kill Ava that night.
Because there's no way to make the game winner by choice but to eliminate one of them,
He knew that Tom wouldn't make him and Evelyn fight,
He was too precious to be risked.
So he had to kill Ava,
but the big question was how, he had to kill her in silence without her making a sound or some bodyguards might enter,
And how was he gonna reach her in the darkness,
Not to mention but what if she catches him, she can also see well in darkness.
However none of those things bothered him, because his mind was beyond ready to kill a human being for the first time for his benefit.
He closed his eyes once, he remembered the last time he saw her leaning on the wall behind,
And replicated that like an x-ray he wasn't sure if it was correct,
He learnt to do that in a detective movie he watched a long time before.
He slowly sneaked up to the place,
And finally he heard the soft pants of Ava, it was as if she was in a nightmare.
Smile looked in the way of the sound one time, his expression was saddened, another innocent person was gonna die today,
However, this one would haunt him forever.
He went closer, he could feel her dress on his hands now,
He smoothly held her neck,
And cut it open with the knife.
His plan was simple, he was gonna kill her silently, and then he would act like he lost the knife and ask Evelyn about it, this was all to make her think Ava commited suicide,
So that he could get away without the hate of Evelyn.
Or else there was a probability their paths could cross each other's,
And he didn't wanted to meet her when he's tortured and trained in here, he didn't know what he'd become after that.
He dug the knife little deeper, hoping he was gonna pierce her vocal cords so that she wouldn't make a noise.
And he succeeded, the death was silent,
Blood flew over his hands, but not on them,
He was holding a part of her dress with a knife,
So his hand wouldn't be involved there.
Well whatever, now he had to act tomorrow as if she killed herself,
If it was a smart person they would've caught it, but Evelyn was not that sharp witted as Smile calculated.
He bloodied Ava's hands, and kept knife on it, and slowly moved back to his plan, with his chain's help,
He wanted to sleep but he couldn't,
His heart felt heavy, filled with regret and unease.
But somewhere in the corner he was happy, Evelyn was now gonna be free.
Smile just stared at the darkness for some time, time passed,
He knew it was almost time for the morning, so it was time for the act.
He woke Evelyn up, she didn't talk but just held his hand a little scared of the sudden shake of him.
Smile felt so heavy that he could collapse, the regret, fear, unease everything was washing over him.
He clenched his chest with his hand,
He whispered, "Did you take back the knife you gave me"
Evelyn whispered back, "What are you talking about, I was asleep the whole night"
"I think someone stole it from me"
"Who else other than us two.....wait do you mean Ava could've..."
The lights were on, the day was here.
Evelyn turned towards Ava, she screamed.
Tom was the one who came running down,
He was looking at her body in shock.
Smile had set it perfectly to make it look like a suicide.
Evelyn was in a shock, Smile acted too.
Tom just bent his head and started massaging his forehead.
Smile looked at Tom, Tom looked back and he understood right away, he was a smart guy,
He knew Smile was gonna do something to protect her.
Evelyn was still in shock.
Tom ordered his bodyguard and were taking Evelyn away, she looked back once, no words just tears from her eyes.
Smile looked at her as well but he had no emotions on his face.
Just like that, Evelyn was now free.
And step 2 was complete.
This was absurd, maybe this was the point of it,
This was something worse than torture.
2 more bodyguards came, took her body away.
Smile looked at the lifeless body one more time.
Everyone left, there were only Smile and Tom now,
Smile smiled and said, "Thank you, Tom"
Tom looked at him once and became silent with a cold expression, he threw a food packet and went away.
Smile ate, be didn't work out today, it reminded him of Ava.
Time passed,
He just sat there leaning on the wall,
With no expressions on his face.
He was now gonna stop thinking about Evelyn, because everytime he remembered her, it was painful for some reason.
He also couldn't ignore the fact, that he had killed 2 people today.
Night came, lights went off.
He felt sleepy,
And he knew it very well that.
He was gonna enter a gruesome nightmare tonight.
He didn't wanted to imagine, how it would be because the last one was extremely horrifying.
He finished his dinner,
And slowly layed on the floor.
