Chapter 5 - Audacious

"The sky roars, the air stills but all are just in awe of your beauty. Men presume and the heavens laugh but for a peek at your face I dare to take the risk ten times over. Wisdom transcends beauty but your beauty transcends all wisdom. Your disposition of a goddess has surely caused uproars in the upper heavens! The gods are not secure with an existence of your caliber, you reign high with your beauty and they have set their eyes on you. Take my hand and we defy the heavens!" Salus dramatically said just enough to pique Hanna's attention.

It wasn't wrong to say that he had failed in his attempt but nonetheless he managed to attract her attention or rather disgruntledness and dissatisfaction. It is not that his words were unconvincing, it is just that those words were only likely to work on country bumpkins and sadly Hanna wasn't one.

The Reeves were one of the aristocrat families of this city and given their ancient history, she had met many similar individuals with similar words that she could not even begin to count.

As if oblivious of her temperament, he continued with his bravado.

"Hey there!" he said, "How's your evening?"

Given her expertise, Hanna knew that the only way to get rid of such fellows was to just keep mum.

"OMG! It must be the heavens working in my favour. Isn't this Miss Hanna Reeves?" he added.

Faint traces of shock could be seen all over her face. It had not been long since she came back from abroad and she didn't expect a normal passerby to know of her identity. Salus easily identified the change in her demeanor and continued spouting bullsh*t.

"To think I would find you in such a place!"

"W-who are you?" She stummeringly asked.

"I am your new bodyguard! I can't disclose my name so as to not threaten your security. Though you can address me as Lupin!"

"O-oh!"

It seems she had caught onto something.

This wordy fellow was supposed to be her new bodyguard. Which means that her brother is still keeping tabs on her. Did he have to be so nagging? She had clearly told him that she was old enough and did not need protection.

"And I think I need your phone!" he daringly added.

"What the fck!" she couldn't help swearing.

"I think you're overreacting." he calmly responded.

"Overreacting your a*s! Who, in their right minds, gives their phone to anyone just like that! Mister, we're practically strangers!"

Hanna was finding it hard to control herself.

"I need to save my number, to simplify communication; plus I have information that someone is tracking you. So, please!" he heroically said.

Noticing her blunder, she handed her phone to him.

With a nod of appreciation, he began inputting his number until he suddenly stopped. He turned to the girl and said one word,

"RUN HOME!" then he added, " as fast as you can!"

Not giving her a chance to react, he ran at a random passerby until he reached an alley. She had wanted to ask for her phone but noticing that the situation may be dire. She hurriedly left the park.

In an alley away from the park, an individual was hysterically laughing because of the prompt that hovered before his eyes:
