==============================================================================
After 4 minutes of forming the clay bricks with her hands, Rubi'i constantly keeps her attention split between what she's working with and what her brother is doing.
Honestly, she's quite itching to ask.
If she were to explain, it's kind of a terrible tingling sensation that her yet not fully developed mind mixed with toddler energy, experiences as if ants were crawling through the location of her two temporal lobes. A constant feel of pins and needles.
Henceforth, she finally after 12 minutes of resisting this constantly stimulating sabotage of her brain urging her to ask. "So, ani'ii...~" She bursts with lamenting tone of voice, "What will those gluey-rocky clay stones use for even?" She asks. "You didn't say a thing before"
Seeing Meteo move his head in her direction, she doesn't know why, but she panics, especially seeing those dead-fish eyes that feel both annoyed about the repetiting laborious task and being tired from resisting the natural clock calling to sleep.
"I-I mean, it's not like I don't find it fun and great to play with you like this" She adds, continuing "After all it's something I had never done yet. But..." She's sweating bullets, she doesn't know what to say anymore, she didn't think this through that hard, she didn't plan this; no, the better way of explaining is that she forgot what she was about to say. "Eh... Um eh... Ugh..." she scratches near the area where her horns are growing near the temple area of her forehead.
Meteo seeing her flustered face is amused, chuckling as he sees her flushing and trying to hide her face beneath the clay she just been forming with her hands.
Rubi'i.exe has stopped working.
"Please don't tickle me... I don't, I don't try to run, okey? I-I.. I am a good girl... and I... I... Ehm."
"Cute."
"H-Huh?" She stutters, blinks, and suddenly in the next second she is squished by her cheeks, and her words are just a long stretch of a gibberish babble.
Playing with her squishy cheeks, nothing but a mumble comes out of Ruby's mouth. He rubs her face in a circlish pattern like manner of movement.
"W-Wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-w-w-wa"
Which, this kind of noise she's releasing is so adorable for Shokui's ears that he just keeps rubbing her cheeks with joy. However, not only her cheeks were moving, but also her head is following with the flow.
Rubi'i at some point started to question herself on why she's enjoying this so much, melting into her brother's palms. However, this doesn't change the fact that she started to feel dizzy.
As she stops Meteo hands with her own, she suddenly feels 10 times dizzier, seeing double for next few seconds.
"Ah, I must have overdone it a bit, hadn't I?" Shokui giggles.
"An Un-Understatement, by saying... just~ 'a bit'"
"Move your head counterclockwise, it'll feel less dizzy"
"Count-what-wise you say now?"
Chuckles. "To the opposite direction - Is what I meant~"
"Oh... okey~" She moves her head just like Meteo had just said, doing circles to the left.
Seeing her steading herself after10 seconds, Shokui asks out of curiosity. "So why did you freak out the second I turned my head at you?".
"I... I don't know, you felt angry then?" She says, not necessarily knowing whether it's a good way of saying this
Blinks. "Angry? How so?"
"The... ... ..." What was she scared of again? Ah, yes, the eyes. Eyes? They are not that scary anymore "...". "Just forget it. I don't remember"
"Doooo~ you remember at least what you wanted to ask?"
"Ugh... Oh. Yeah! What tha-" As she about to repeat her question, Meteo mutes her by putting his index finger against her snout.
"Don't worry, I remember. I was just curious if you remembered. That's all"
She nods "Then?"
Smiles softly. "I was planning to make a little bit of a surprise~... But I suppose it wouldn't be hidden from you for long anyway, so then I guess I'll just say it."
Anticipation in her eyes.
He continues, "I am planning to make a funeral for our family." Recalling even Meteo didn't know at first what's funeral, he adds more. "It would be just digging holes wide enough to fit their bodies, but... I thought of making the place a little bit more grand."
"Grand? How grand?"
"When you were sleeping, your brother was trying to make coffins - box shaped beds. So, mom, dad and Hee, would feel loved in afterlife, Heaven - due to that we made good resting places for them."
"Afterlife, Heaven?" She looks at the sky, not understanding that he didn't mean the sky in a literal sense but a separate dimension where dead go to.
~
"..." Inhales. Smiles in a mainfull manner. Resists not to swear in all languages he knows – Polish, German, English, Spanish, Latin, even Japanese – for that he sees Aki in the near vicinity. Not wanting to give him a bad example, preferably never, he bites his tongue; instead releasing a groan.
He forgot that he only had conversation about Christianity with Meteo. And it wasn't that hard to explain to him the afterlife. After all he had seen his soul, so it made his trust level jump by 10 levels at least. Henceforth, there had been more of open-mindedness on this from him.
~
Keeps a smiling face on the outside. "No, not the sky, sis. Or at least not this sky. Think of it as a good place where all dead people go"
"Oh!" She nods in an understandment. "So, that's where mom, dad and Hee, had went." Pauses. Frowning in contemplation "If it's a good place, the bad people do go there too?"
"More likely they go to the underworld"
"Like... They are sucked underground?"
~
"Help" I send request of needing help to Aki with my eyes.
"Ummm..." Aki pauses to think.
"I can't just say they go to Hell! There is no Angel Helliel from which this name could derive from, known here. And I can't really easily explain Christianity to her. It would just give myself away on a silver platter"
"Hmmm... I think~... 'Nether' would-be good of an explanatory word to tell the hell's meaning." Pauses. "I think that's what mom said about how our sun is called, and in those old memories of yours, it is quite often appropriated to the understanding of where hell was"
"Oh right, medieval times when they thought Earth was the centre of the solar system..." Face palming "I forgot the word hell came from the word sun, not the Angel. I am stupid!"
"You are just overthinking it. But yeah, I know, that indeed funny coincidence" Chuckling. "So, no problem" smiles back.
~
"Maybe... or maybe more. Hmmm. Think about it in this way. Bad people would be thrown into lake of fire, like the sun for example!" Fake an expression of thinking over it. "Actually, that could be even it." He points directly above them, just where the sun currently is positioned when looking at heaven. "Their souls rather than going to Heaven, be thrown into the Nether... Or at least, that's how mom called the sun"
"Really? I don't remember mom ever talking about this"
"You sure?"
"Huh." She seriously tries to recall whether mom said something like this, but she can't find any matching memory. She nods. "Maybe... I was too young to remember"
A Metaphorical question mark appears above their heads. However, Ryby's and Meteo's due to different reasons.
~
"Hey, a quick question, do you remember exactly when you heard that name from your mom?"
"Hmm... I think it was a year ago. Rubi'i was just born then."
"..."
"What?"
"Then why you said Rubi'i could remember Mom speaking of it?"
"..." Blinking. "Huh?" Confused.
"People don't remember what happened just after birth."
"Huh?"
"What's that 'huh' supposed to mean?" Flabbergasted.
"I mean I remember every single day from when I was born. You don't?"
"... Oh~, so you are the problem."
"Huh?" Question mark appearing above him.
"I don't remember exact name for it, but you have something that's called 'Autobiographical Memory'"
"And what's that?"
"In short, you can remember nearly every detail in your life"
"Oh... I see what you mean." Pauses. "So, you are saying that people don't recall everything they experience?"
"No"
"Oh."
~
"Can we get to that topic at the later date. I think it would be better if you get older before we talk about it. Okey?" He asks. "I don't feel like explaining more"
"Tired?"
"... Yeah..."
"Okey." She nods, but she wasn't doing nothing when there had been a pause between them two. What she did not say – hiding - is that she recalled that she has something that's called Migawari, and it could read feelings when she has it active. So, at some point she just used her funny looking eyes to see the exact emotions Meteo is going through or has towards her now.
It's not exactly easy to notice eyes looking differently unless someone were to directly look at them. So, she hadn't been yet spotted using it. But that's not relevant. What's relevant is that she certainly does not know how Meteo's aura surrounding him felt like when playing with her face, but it's been troubled for a couple of seconds, now. Which made her confused of why.
What she doesn't know is that she unconsciously saw the moment Aki and Shokui talked with each other on a 'world changing topic', without having the context of there being two people she currently looks at; without the context of how the actual conversation went. She just saw Shokui aura passing through multiple layers of confusion, which Rubi'i didn't even know that this many types of confusion even existed.
Noticing Ruby's eye pattern, Shokui calls her out on it.
"Why do you have your Migawari active?"
"Huh, you noticed?"
"It's really not hard to, you know. The white of your eyes literally turns black"
"Oh" Well now she's the troubled one, she thought she was quite secretive, but it turns out now that she had in a metaphorical sense of the word, been running with pants down. Not that she or her brother wears any clothes to speak of.
"So?"
"Oh right." She might as well get clear. "What you've been thinking about, you had been quite shocked for a couple of seconds now."
"..." Pausing. He realizes now how much her aura sight can actually see. Thinking of how to answer and that she can probably tell whether he lies or not, he decides to say part of his conversation with Aki. "I just realized that I am the weird one for being able to remember every single detail of my life."
"Wait. Really? That's possible?"
"I could ask the same question back to you. I thought that's something normal."
"Oh"
"Yeah."
~
"Hey, you don't need to call me 'the weird one', it feels kind of strange when you call me that."
"But you are one."
"Alright, I get it. But it kind of rubs the wrong way, when you just say it to someone other than me. It's almost as if you were targeting me by saying this."
"Yes, I was~"
"Hey, do not try to run off, and answer my question!" Pointing at Shokui in an accusing like manner.
"See ya!"
"And he disappeared~..." He facepalms, making a heavy exhale.
~
"So back to what the topic was 'actually' about. I am making those 'clay stones' so to place on the ground around the graves. And maybe find some gravel to pour out in between those stones."
"Oh... Okey!" After the pause though. "And what about those humans?"
"I thought you burn those bodies after taking their stuff"
"..."
"Elle'e, you burned those bodies after taking their stuff?" Repeating himself.
"Yeah... About that..."
Sigh
"Hey! I didn't know you wanted me to get rid of them!"
"So, what you did with them?"
"Ah... Just piled them in one corner of the forest."
"Is it at least far from home?"
"... Hehe." She shyly moves her head away "I mean they were quite heavy."
"Right... Heavy. So let me get it straight. You thought that moving people that are 10 times your weight, is easier that burning them?"
"I mean... there was nothing to do past those 3 days... So..."
Sigh
"And what about those who were cut in dozens of parts?"
"..."
"You had gotten rid of them?"
"I may or may had not been throwing them to the lake..."
"..."
"Huh? I done something wrong?"
"Which lake..."
"The one near the home of course!" She replies smiling.
Inhales.
Deep, long, heavy, exhale.
"Sure, why not spread disease, mark to all humans where we live - with a sign 'we are here'. What could go wrong~~"
"Hey, it can't be that bad!" Her eyes starting to tear.
"Alright, disease is farfetched" Sigh. "Just pray that those fishes will eat the body parts away before reaching any human cluster." Massaging his head. Adding "Because otherwise, I fear that the next group would be made mostly out of people like the man I was fighting last"
"Was he strong?"
"Strong?... Forgot already how I crawled to you back then?" asking her with flabbergastion written on his face.
"I am sowwy..." Not being able to stop crying, she cries the river.
