Chapter 93 - Red Scroll Aftermath
Lia explained the vision she had while sobbing against my chest. Her noise caught Lenitia's attention, who immediately frowned at me.
"What did you do to her?"
"Oh, I showed her this."
I held up the red scroll. Come to think of it, red represented an SSR‑grade item. I had forgotten the hierarchy of scrolls, but my impression was that results depended on the reader's aptitude. Talented characters got better outcomes, while average ones got average results.
I was surprised that it didn't disappear. As I observed the scroll and Lenitia, an idea struck me.
Intentionally, I flashed the scroll at Lenitia. A beam shot from the parchment.
For the first time, I witnessed what happened when someone else read a game scroll. Lenitia stood motionless. Her eyes lost all lights.
Ten minutes later, light returned to her gaze. She turned to me, staring at Lia and me with wet eyes.
"…You're cruel."
Whoops. Another crying baby.
