Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 THE MASTER

K said, "Well, if you want to understand the Master, you have to forget everything you've learned in this world—every emotion, every relation—so you can understand it more clearly. The Master is the best example of a person living in hell. Every second feels like centuries. Every single moment of life becomes so hard that even death looks like a blessing. He has lost his smile and his emotions. He is always standing on the edge of complete mental breakdown, yet he never lets others know what is going on inside him."A looked at him with a serious expression and asked, "How do you know so much about him? You said nobody knows who he is, so how do you know all this?"K replied calmly, "I don't know. You can say I'm just guessing…" Then, with a scary expression, he added, "Or maybe I am him."A was shocked.K quickly said, "Do not worry. I am a normal person, just like you, A."A stammered, "I…." and simply stared at him.K asked, "What happened, A? You look even more scared now."A replied, "I'm not scared… just… just keep telling me.""Very well," K said. "Let's start again. The Master has many faces. It all depends on the type of person he is talking to. No one knows what his true face looks like." K glanced at the chess pieces and continued, "He has different faces and different emotions for each person. After years of silence, he finally became able to create many personalities—each one perfectly crafted. You wouldn't even realize whether he truly cares about you or is simply preparing you for his purpose. For him, everything has become fake—emotions, life, and society. In the true sense, becoming a Master means you have to accept the truth, the darkness, and the real side of this world."A said with a sad and slightly disappointed voice, "I know this world is not perfect, but there are a lot of good things too. There is a brighter side to this world."K replied, "This disappointment tells me everything. You are questioning yourself. Well, do you want to say something before I continue?"A spoke with a mix of fear and anger, "I do not want to hear your mocking. Tell me—who is that Master?"K answered, "Just think of him as a person who knows everything about human nature. He knows how to deal with anyone—how to handle their ego, faith, emotions, dreams, and everything else. For the Master, it becomes hard to connect with humans again. He is still human, yet he has a deep connection with nature and even non-living things because they never leave his side. That's why he sometimes seems mad, but you cannot understand his thinking. He lost his true self and his true identity from the very start of his journey. "Each century has only a handful of Masters. Some are more open, some remain hidden. Some try to control, some try to bring peace. But in the end, they all give up—not because they are weak, but because every path they take leads to the same destination: failure."A asked, "What do you mean by failure? You said a Master can never give up, so why would he stop after one failure?"K replied, "Have you forgotten he is human too? But his failure does not mean he failed at everything. He had already calculated every possible outcome."K stood up and said, "So, A, how about we take a little walk?"A hesitated for a moment before agreeing. — END OF CHAPTER 5 —
