Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

I Picked Up Soul Points on the Night of Genocide!

Since the night of the Uchiha clan's extermination, the ninja world would usher in a short and deceptive period of peace in the days that followed.

At least on the surface, there would be no large-scale wars, no massive battlefield casualties like those during the Great Ninja Wars.

And that meant one thing very clearly.

If there was no death, then there would be no soul points.

Without soul points, his strength would inevitably enter a slow and stagnant period of development.

In a world as dangerous as Naruto's ninja world, such growth speed was completely unacceptable.

Because danger never waits for you to be ready.

Now that the Uchiha clan had been annihilated overnight, an unimaginable number of soul points would be generated in this confined area.

If he simply let them dissipate, wouldn't that be an unforgivable waste?

Although profiting from the tragedy of his own clan was undeniably shameful, this was a world where the strong devoured the weak, where compassion often led to death.

In such a world, what right did anyone have to stay reserved?

During this entire month, Uchiha Yi had already mentally prepared himself for everything that would happen next.

Even if he had once been nothing more than an ordinary college student who had never even killed a chicken, now that he had crossed into this world, he had no choice but to pick up the butcher's knife.

He had to become the executioner.

And he would not show mercy.

Because once you step into the Naruto world, fate is no longer something you can control.

"Boom!"

The night was pitch-black, and the surroundings were steeped in deathly silence.

Even the chirping of insects and birds that usually filled the Uchiha district had completely vanished, as if this place had already been erased from the world.

Yet in such absolute silence, the sound of footsteps stepping on the wooden stairs outside was unbearably clear.

Each step was heavy.

Each step sounded like a death sentence.

Cut.

Everyone else has already been killed… is it finally my turn?

What a disgusting traitor.

Even though he was technically an outsider to this clan in terms of soul and origin, Uchiha Yi still couldn't suppress the disgust rising in his heart toward Uchiha Itachi.

What kind of twisted resolve could allow someone to slaughter their own parents, their own clan, without hesitation?

No matter how noble the excuse, it was still unforgivable.

Forget it.

There was no point dwelling on that now.

The two Fire Release abilities he had obtained from the lucky draw of the [Fire Release System] only provided him with additional methods and special means.

They did not fundamentally improve his physical strength, chakra reserves, or combat instincts.

To activate these abilities, one required physical stamina, the other required chakra.

And unfortunately, both were things he sorely lacked.

With his current pitiful level of strength, even with these abilities, he was absolutely no match for Uchiha Itachi.

Not to mention the other shadows lurking in Konoha.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Hokage's Anbu.

Shimura Danzo and his Root organization.

The masked man lurking in the darkness Uchiha Obito.

And even the hidden manipulator behind everything Black Zetsu.

He also had to consider whether other ninja clans in Konoha were involved, and how deeply they were entangled.

In truth, within the entire village of Konoha, it was entirely possible that everything and everyone could become his enemy.

This lineup of enemies was something Uchiha Yi simply could not confront in his current state.

"Into the fire."

In the span of a single breath, countless thoughts flashed through his mind.

Uchiha Yi decisively reached out and touched the flame burning atop the candle.

With a low murmur, his figure blurred and in the next instant, he vanished directly into the flickering fire.

The room instantly fell silent.

In the next second, a blood-soaked figure appeared inside the empty house.

Uchiha Itachi stood there quietly.

Carefully sensing the remaining warmth in the air, a faint trace of confusion appeared in his eyes.

He was certain someone had been here just moments ago.

So how had they disappeared without leaving the slightest trace?

There were only two possibilities.

Either the owner of this house possessed an instant spatial escape technique and had already left.

But that was impossible.

Everyone in the clan knew that Uchiha Yi was a notorious waste who hadn't even awakened the Sharingan.

Then the only remaining explanation…

Recalling the strange spatial ability possessed by the masked man, Itachi felt a chill crawl up his spine.

If that man had intervened, then lingering here would be meaningless.

Still, to prevent any oversight, Uchiha Itachi activated his Sharingan.

The scarlet tomoe spun slowly as he meticulously examined every corner of the room, searching for anything abnormal.

However, Uchiha Yi who had merged into the flames had no intention of leaving immediately.

Instead, he concealed himself within the fire, silently observing the so-called filial son conducting his cautious inspection, sneering inwardly.

If his strength were sufficient, he would have liked nothing more than to humiliate this executioner of the Uchiha clan.

The real reason he took the risk to stay behind was to test the limits of the [Fire Release Technique].

He wanted to know could Uchiha Itachi see through it?

From Itachi's current reaction, the answer was already obvious.

This technique was not just half a step ahead.

It was one, two perhaps even three steps beyond the ninja world's current understanding.

Even with Itachi's strength, he was unable to detect Uchiha Yi hiding within the space of the flames.

That meant that, in most of the ninja world, almost no one would be able to do so.

"Hehehe…"

"It seems I can act even more recklessly."

"Konoha… has so many good things."

As Uchiha Itachi continued slaughtering the clan, Shimura Danzo clearly felt that relying on him alone was too slow.

Unable to restrain his impatience, Danzo directly bypassed the Hokage's Anbu and issued orders to the Root.

The command was simple.

Eradicate the Uchiha clan completely.

The moment the order was issued, the Root ninjas who recognized only Danzo as their master transformed into emotionless killing machines.

They broke into every household within the Uchiha district.

Old men.

Women.

Infants.

As long as they bore the surname Uchiha, they were executed on sight.

Pain.

Fear.

Wails.

Begging.

Rage.

No matter the words spoken or the actions taken, nothing could shake these people who had lived alongside them in Konoha for decades.

What did we do wrong?

Why did Konoha want us dead?

Konoha was founded by the Uchiha and the Senju together!

In every Ninja World War, the Uchiha never retreated, shedding blood on the battlefield time and time again!

And this… was the end result?

Konoha.

You will die a miserable death.

If evil spirits truly existed in this world, then a clan treated with such injustice would surely transform into vengeful wraiths, tearing Konoha apart in an instant.

Yet even so, the blades never stopped.

There was no mercy.

No hesitation.

No humanity.

They were colder than demons crawling out of the abyss, continuing to devour lives without pause.

Uchiha Yi moved continuously through the hidden flames scattered throughout the district, witnessing everything.

His entire body trembled, and his heart remained unsettled for a long time.

It wasn't fear of death or bloodshed.

He had once personally witnessed a traffic accident where a speeding truck crushed pedestrians into fragments.

Compared to that, the current scene was almost tame.

The ninja's methods of killing were precise and efficient, like putting people to sleep.

What truly horrified him was their cold-blooded indifference.

What a hopeless world.

A sick world like this should not exist.

I come.

I conquer.

From this moment on, the world will change because of me.

Otherwise

I will destroy it.
