Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

My stupid brother! Live on with hatred and ugliness!

"What!"

"No!"

"Itachi, what are you doing?!"

"Traitor!"

No matter how unwilling the clansmen were to believe it, no matter how desperately they tried to deny it, the scene before their eyes was undeniable reality.

The pride of the Uchiha clan

Uchiha Itachi

had turned his blade against his own people.

Wherever Uchiha Itachi passed, whether they were Uchiha shinobi or ordinary clan civilians with no ninja talent, none were spared.

He showed absolutely no mercy.

Blood soaked the land of the Uchiha compound, dyeing it crimson, turning the clan's territory into a living hell.

At that moment, an Uchiha child rushed into the area in panic.

The once-familiar streets were now filled with lifeless bodies.

Seeing the cold corpses of people he recognized, an ominous fear surged in the child's heart. He stumbled forward desperately, running toward the place he called home.

The Root ninja and ANBU stationed nearby those responsible for monitoring the Uchiha district did not stop him.

They did not attack.

They did not interfere.

They silently allowed the child to pass.

One of the Uchiha residences

the clan head's home.

Inside, Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Mikoto knelt quietly on the tatami mats. Pale moonlight streamed through the window, casting long shadows and giving the scene an indescribable sorrow.

From beginning to end, the couple appeared unnaturally calm, as if they already knew everything that was happening outside.

"Tap… tap…"

Holding a short blade still stained with fresh blood, Uchiha Itachi stepped forward and stopped behind them.

He stood there in silence for a brief moment.

"Itachi."

"Since you've already chosen this path, then walk it to the end."

"Do not hesitate. This is the road you decided to take."

"Compared to what you must bear, our pain will only last an instant."

"Even if our viewpoints differ, we are still proud of you."

"Finally never forget."

"You are an Uchiha."

Without turning his head, Uchiha Fugaku knew who stood behind him.

In his heart, he let out a long, helpless sigh, regret welling up silently.

Perhaps Itachi should never have been allowed to interact so deeply with Konoha's higher-ups in an attempt to reconcile the village and the clan.

From the very beginning, this path had already been wrong.

"Itachi… this is the fate of the Uchiha clan."

"Mother won't blame you."

"I don't want to fight my own son."

"But one last thing… please."

"Sasuke… I'll leave him to you."

Uchiha Mikoto also understood why her eldest son had come.

She did not turn around.

Instead, she spoke gently, carefully, doing her best not to place any further burden on Itachi's heart.

In her heart, as she had just said, this was the Uchiha clan's fate.

Even if the person standing there was not Uchiha Itachi, the clan would still have met the same end.

Listening to his father's resolute words and his mother's soft comfort

Uchiha Itachi, who had slaughtered the clan with cold indifference, finally showed a crack in his composure.

Tears silently gathered at the corners of his eyes.

But he had already walked too far.

There was no turning back.

Even if the road ahead was shrouded in endless darkness, even if it was filled with suffering and loneliness, he could only continue forward.

Only in this way could Konoha's peace be preserved.

The Uchiha clan only needed one survivor.

One Uchiha

Sasuke.

"Pffft!"

Raising the blade with both hands, Itachi struck without hesitation.

In an instant, both lives were severed.

The light vanished from their eyes.

Standing there, staring at the bodies that were gradually losing warmth, Uchiha Itachi remained motionless, his gaze hollow, as if his soul had already left his body.

After some time

A small figure staggered into the room.

"Father!"

"Mother!"

Uchiha Sasuke cried out as he pushed the door open.

But the sight before him froze his body in place, forcing him to stumble backward several steps.

Only then did he notice another presence in the room.

Moonlight illuminated that face

A face so familiar.

Yet at this moment, it radiated a bone-chilling coldness, completely devoid of warmth.

"Swish!"

Without warning, Itachi flicked his wrist.

A shuriken flew out and pierced Sasuke's shoulder.

Blood splashed instantly.

Sasuke clutched his wounded shoulder, pain surging through his body as he looked up in disbelief.

"Brother… what are you doing?!"

The pain was real.

The blood was real.

"My… stupid… little brother."

After speaking, Itachi closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, the Mangekyō Sharingan spun slowly.

In the next instant, Sasuke was dragged into Tsukuyomi.

The world shattered.

Everything was dyed in an ominous crimson.

Within the illusion, Sasuke watched helplessly as his clansmen were slaughtered one by one by Uchiha Itachi's hands. Blood flowed endlessly, pooling at his feet.

"No!"

"Brother!"

"Stop!"

"Why… why did you do this?!"

"I don't want to see this!"

"Please!"

"Mother! Father!"

"Brother, stop it!"

"Don't kill them!"

Fear consumed Sasuke completely.

He screamed, begged, and clutched his head in despair.

In reality, only a single second passed.

Yet within Tsukuyomi, Sasuke's mind endured countless repetitions of slaughter.

His consciousness collapsed.

He gasped violently and fell to the ground.

Before his eyes

Were the lifeless bodies of his parents.

And the figure engraved into his very soul

Uchiha Itachi.

Why?

Why would you do this?!

Sasuke muttered incoherently, refusing to accept reality.

"To test my own capacity."

Itachi answered coldly.

"Is that your reason… for killing everyone?!"

Sasuke roared in grief and rage.

"For me, it is."

"If you want revenge then hate me."

"Despise me."

"Cling to life."

"Seek power."

"And someday, when you possess eyes like mine"

"Come before me… and kill me."

After hearing those words, hatred flooded Sasuke's eyes.

His consciousness finally sank into darkness.

Uchiha Itachi turned back toward his parents' bodies.

He intended to handle their remains personally, preventing anyone from desecrating them.

Among Konoha's leaders, he trusted only the Third Hokage.

Especially Danzo Shimura

He remained deeply wary of him.

After all, Uchiha Shisui his closest friend and mentor had effectively died because of Danzo.

And Shisui's other Mangekyō Sharingan was now in Danzo's possession.

Once everything was settled, Itachi planned to confront Danzo directly and warn him

Sasuke was not to be touched.

As he thought of this, Itachi glanced once more at his unconscious younger brother.

A trace of complex emotion flickered through his eyes.

Sasuke had been forced to endure such pain

Yet even this was merely the first step toward awakening.

(Some may question this point. I have repeatedly checked available materials and reviewed relevant scenes, but there is no explicit statement in the manga confirming that Sasuke awakened his Sharingan at this moment. If you disagree, you are free to verify it yourself.)
