Chapter 60 - Chapter 5: Escape of the Assassins

**Paras City – Ruined Streets, Heart of the Night**

The city was bleeding under the moonlight.

Streetlights flickered like dying stars, casting long, broken shadows across cracked asphalt. Cars lay overturned, horns blaring uselessly into the smoke-filled sky. Glass from shattered storefronts glittered on the pavement like fallen stars, reflecting the chaos. People had fled or hidden in alleys — but the fear lingered in the air, thick and heavy, pressing down on every soul still awake.

Honokage stood in the center of the destruction, black lightning still crackling faintly around his fists like living serpents. His crimson-black eyes glowed with quiet, controlled fury. Dust settled slowly on his torn clothes. A thin line of blood trickled from the cut on his palm — the only mark the assassins had managed to leave. He brushed it away with a calm swipe, but his gaze never softened.

Uzumaki rose slowly to his feet, both hands raised high, crimson energy swirling violently between his palms like a storm about to break. His hoodie was shredded, revealing scarred skin and glowing indigo eyes filled with raw rage and desperate pride.

Beside him, Sakura charged forward, flames licking her fists and boots like hungry wolves. Her emerald eyes burned with wounded pride — the kind that hurt deeper than any physical blow. Her breathing was ragged, but her will refused to break.

Honokage's expression hardened completely. No more games. No more holding back.

He planted his feet firmly, the ground cracking beneath him.

"Fine," he said quietly, voice low and dangerous. "Let's finish this."

Uzumaki roared — a raw, animal sound that shook the broken windows around them and made distant car alarms scream.

He thrust both hands forward with everything he had.

Mechanical energy blasts erupted — dozens of crimson bolts screaming toward Honokage like homing missiles, each one carrying years of training and burning hatred.

Honokage moved like living shadow.

He sidestepped the first wave with effortless grace, body blurring.

Reflected the second wave with open palms — sending the bolts screaming back at Uzumaki with twice the force.

Uzumaki teleported sideways at the last second to dodge his own attack. The reflected blasts exploded against a row of parked cars — metal twisting violently, fire blooming bright and hot.

Sakura rushed in from the side like a flaming comet — two powerful kicks aimed straight at Honokage's head.

He blocked the first with his forearm, the impact sending bright sparks flying into the night.

The second grazed his cheek, drawing a fresh line of blood that trickled down his jaw.

He countered instantly — a powerful, precise kick slamming into Sakura's stomach with bone-rattling force.

She flew backward, crashing through a streetlamp. The pole bent like paper. She slid across the asphalt for several meters, gasping painfully, one hand clutching her ribs as tears of frustration stung her eyes.

Honokage folded his arms again, voice calm but edged with steel.

"You both are strong. But you need better control. Your anger makes you sloppy… and sloppy gets you killed."

Uzumaki gritted his teeth so hard they creaked, blood dripping from his chin onto the cracked tiles.

He teleported again — reappearing right in front of Honokage in a burst of crimson light.

He unleashed a relentless storm of punches — faster than sound, each one carrying his full rage and desperation.

Left. Right. Left. Uppercut. Elbow. Knee. Flaming fist. Shadow jab. Spinning backhand.

Honokage countered every single one with terrifying precision.

He blocked with open palms, deflected with forearms, sidestepped with minimal movement — never retreating, never losing balance.

Each block sounded like thunder rolling through the streets.

Each deflection sent shockwaves cracking through the remaining buildings, shattering more glass.

Uzumaki roared again in pure frustration and teleported behind him.

He drove a flaming fist toward the back of Honokage's skull with everything he had left.

Honokage tilted his head slightly.

The punch missed by millimeters.

Honokage spun — tail whipping out like a black whip — and slammed it into Uzumaki's ribs with bone-crushing force.

The sound was sickening — ribs cracking.

Uzumaki coughed blood and crashed sideways through three buildings, leaving a trail of destruction behind him.

The structures groaned and partially collapsed in clouds of dust.

Sakura rose from the wreckage, eyes blazing with fury and pain.

She thrust both palms forward.

Crimson energy gathered — brighter, hotter, more unstable than before.

A massive flaming beam formed — thick as a truck, pulsing with raw, desperate power.

She screamed — voice cracking with raw emotion.

"Burn!!!"

The beam roared forward like a living dragon.

Honokage gathered both hands in front of him.

His eyes flashed dangerously.

"Be gone!!!!"

A massive black lightning beam erupted from his palms — thicker, darker, infinitely more powerful.

The two beams collided mid-air with a deafening explosion.

The blast lit up the entire block like daylight.

Shockwaves shattered every remaining window for three blocks.

But before Honokage's beam could finish them —

Uzumaki did a desperate hand sign, eyes wide with panic.

He switched places between Sakura and a nearby abandoned house.

The house exploded in a massive area of destruction — walls vaporized, debris flying in every direction like deadly shrapnel.

Lightning still leaked from the blast, crackling across the street like angry snakes.

Honokage lowered his hands slowly.

His eyes sharpened with cold respect.

"Nice trick."

Sakura teleported behind him instantly, launching a flaming kick at his back with all her remaining strength.

Honokage didn't even look.

He grabbed her leg mid-air and slammed her down into the ground with brutal force.

The impact cratered the asphalt deeply.

Uzumaki slammed his hand on the ground in desperation.

A massive crimson spear erupted from the pavement, glowing with deadly energy.

He roared, voice breaking with everything he had left.

"I will take your heart!!!"

He rushed forward — spear aimed straight at Honokage's chest like a final, desperate gamble.

Honokage caught the spear in his bare hand.

The blade cut deep into his palm.

Blood dripped — slow, heavy drops hitting the ground one by one.

Uzumaki gritted his teeth, eyes wide with shock and rage.

He backpedaled, swinging the bloodied spear wildly while throwing punch after punch.

Honokage countered every attack with his bloody hand — calm, precise, unstoppable.

Sakura charged in with machine-like blows — fists and kicks raining down like a storm of fire.

A massive red demonic hand erupted from a portal beneath her, blocking every strike with crushing force.

Uzumaki kept attacking relentlessly.

Sakura teleported and combined her flaming energy with Uzumaki's — their auras merging into one terrifying crimson storm of power.

Honokage dodged, backflipped gracefully, and snapped his fingers.

On the sky above — a massive black leviathan shadow formed, coiling like a living nightmare.

Honokage's voice echoed with quiet menace that sent chills down the street.

"You have taken the wrong fight with the wrong person."

The leviathan roared — a sound that shook the entire city and made distant windows rattle.

It unleashed a storm of black lightning bolts raining down on them like divine judgment.

Sakura raised her hand and fired massive beams upward in defiance.

The lightning and beams clashed in the sky — creating a blinding glow that turned night into day for several long seconds.

Uzumaki lowered his spear.

It turned to dust in his grip.

His eyes glowed darker — then turned completely black, blood streaming from them like tears of exhaustion and rage.

Uzumaki's voice was raw, broken, filled with everything he had left.

"I use my best!"

He teleported in front of Honokage and clenched his fist so hard the air cracked.

"130% power amplification!!!"

He punched hard — straight into Honokage's abdomen with every ounce of his soul.

Massive sparks erupted.

The impact sent Honokage crashing backward through buildings, cars, and finally the bridge itself.

The bridge cracked and partially collapsed in a deafening roar.

Smoke billowed upward in thick clouds.

Honokage rose slowly from the rubble.

He wiped blood from his lips with the back of his hand, eyes still calm.

Sakura teleported into the sky above him.

Massive crimson chains shot down — wrapping around Honokage's arms and torso like living snakes.

They tightened and exploded violently.

The whole area detonated — cars, bridges, trains, buildings, rocks — everything lifted into the air in slow motion.

The moon glowed through the chaos like a silent, cold witness.

Sakura teleported through the floating debris, attacking relentlessly with every strike she had left.

Uzumaki fired blow after blow from below, eyes still bleeding.

Honokage dodged every chain, every blast, every strike — moving like liquid shadow through the floating wreckage.

He raised two fingers calmly.

"Leviathan Sins."

The atmosphere shifted instantly.

The sky became lighter — almost weightless.

Everything that was floating suddenly froze mid-air.

Honokage slid down through a floating building like it was water.

Uzumaki came with a burning kick.

Honokage dodged effortlessly.

Uzumaki smashed through the glass into the building.

Sakura dashed toward him and unleashed a massive explosion.

Honokage snapped his fingers.

Everything floating in the sky slammed back down to the ground at once.

A massive building was about to crush Sakura.

Uzumaki dashed forward with the last of his strength, scooped her up, and teleported away at the last second.

The building hit the ground with a deafening boom that shook the entire block.

Their hoodies were now completely torn.

Uzumaki's eyes returned to normal — still bleeding, chest heaving with exhaustion.

Sakura stood up slowly, placing a shaky hand on his shoulder.

Her voice was weak but filled with quiet pain and concern.

"You don't need to go this far… Just save your energy to fight him…"

Uzumaki breathed heavily, voice cracking with emotion.

"He's too powerful… We can't take his heart… It's too hard."

Sakura turned toward Honokage, eyes sharpening with cold resolve and lingering anger.

"I will take revenge anyway… He wasn't fighting. He was mocking us."

She teleported without another word.

Uzumaki shouted desperately, voice breaking.

"Wait!! Don't go!!"

She reappeared in front of Honokage and threw a punch with everything she had left.

He dodged by tilting his head.

Another punch — dodged by shoulder.

The third — he caught in his palm and countered with a single, precise punch.

Sakura slammed into a building's surface, then jumped off it and dashed forward with a spinning kick.

Honokage caught her leg effortlessly.

She twisted mid-air and punched his head.

No effect.

Honokage's voice was calm, almost pitying.

"That's all you got?"

He threw her upward into the sky and fired a lightning blast.

It hit her hand.

She screamed in pain and crashed back to the ground.

Holding her bleeding hand, she refused to give up — eyes still burning with defiance and tears of frustration.

Honokage blinked once.

He fired a massive lightning beam.

It roared toward Sakura like judgment itself.

Uzumaki teleported in at the last second, scooped her up, and vanished with her into the night.

The beam exploded where they had been.

Honokage stood alone in the smoke.

He sat down on the broken ground, dusting off his body with a tired sigh.

"You both escaped. My speed is enough to catch you… so don't feel safe."

**Cut to the Sea Beach Side – Dawn Breaking**

Uzumaki appeared on the soft golden sand, carrying Sakura in his arms.

He ran out of breath instantly and collapsed with her.

The night was slowly fading. A faint golden sunlight escaped over the horizon, painting the waves in soft orange and pink. The sea whispered gently against the shore, calm and beautiful — a stark contrast to the chaos they had left behind.

Uzumaki pushed himself up slowly, breathing heavily, sitting on the cool sand.

Sakura opened her eyes — weak, exhausted, but still angry.

She stood shakily, voice trembling with rage and pain.

"Why did you come here with me!? I told you I would take revenge!!! I will rip him apart!!"

She started walking forward but stumbled, knees buckling.

Uzumaki stood too, voice gentle but firm.

"Calm down, Sakura!! Stop here—"

He reached for her hand to steady her.

She drove her elbow into his abdomen and shoved him back onto the sand.

"Shut up, you fool! Who told you to save me!? You think you're some kind of hero!?"

She fell to her knees, tears finally breaking free.

Uzumaki wiped blood from his lips, eyes soft with pain and quiet love.

Sakura cried freely now — tears hitting the sand, wetting it in small dark spots.

"My dream… my assassin career… everything is gone… I couldn't even complete the mission."

She slammed her fist into the sand. Grains flew up slowly.

Her tears shimmered in the faint dawn light.

Uzumaki moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist gently.

"Everything isn't about pride and fighting… Listen to me—"

She threw his hands away, shouting through sobs.

"Stay away from me! You baka!! Because of you I failed!"

Her tears kept falling.

Uzumaki struggled to stay calm, voice cracking.

"Please… calm down."

She shoved him away again and sat with her head buried in her knees.

Sakura's voice was broken, small, filled with years of pain.

"I'm just a failed assassin. Nothing else… Now how do I return to my country?"

Uzumaki watched her silently for a long moment.

He clenched his fist slightly, then released it.

He moved and sat beside her.

He wrapped his arms around her again — gentle, protective, warm.

"I promise… I will protect you forever. If you quit the assassin job."

Sakura raised her head slowly, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"No… sorry… I don't need your favor…"

Uzumaki's voice was soft but steady.

"There is nothing left in the assassin life… All those years of practice, all the pain, all the worst experiences… they were useless."

He stood up and offered his hand.

Uzumaki smiled gently, head tilted.

"Alright… I quit being an assassin too. Only for you. Let's run away from this world… go somewhere we won't get hurt."

Sakura hesitated, eyes searching his face for any lie.

"Are you sure…? If you stay away too long, you'll get wanted like me…"

Uzumaki shrugged.

"I don't care about them. I know you've suffered a lot in your life… So please accept it."

Sakura hesitated one last second.

Then she stood and took his hand.

She burst into fresh sobs and fell against his chest.

"You really are something else, Uzumaki… Okay… I agree with you! Let's run somewhere else."

Uzumaki nodded silently, holding her close.

"I can't give you much… But I can teach you what real life looks like."

He held her tighter.

The sun was now visible — soft golden light warming the beach and their faces.

Sakura raised her head from his chest, smiling through tears.

"So… let's go?"

Uzumaki smiled back — warm, genuine, full of quiet hope.

"Sure."

She held his hand tighter.

They started walking slowly along the beach, two broken assassins choosing a new path together under the rising sun.

**Cut to Yuki's House – Early Morning**

The luxury car rolled to a stop in front of the quiet house.

The door opened.

Yuki stepped out — still in her sparkling idol dress, dark circles under her eyes, exhaustion written across her beautiful face.

She swayed on her feet, voice soft and tired.

"Hono-kun…" she whispered. "Hold me… I am tired by full night concert."

She started to collapse.

Honokage teleported in instantly — juice can still in one hand — and caught her gently with the other arm.

He sighed, but his eyes were soft with quiet worry and love.

"You pushed yourself too hard again…"

He lifted her carefully and carried her inside.

The door closed softly behind them.

The city slowly woke up around them — unaware that two assassins had just chosen to disappear forever… and that a new chapter of love and redemption had quietly begun.
