As he gazed at Celeste, Veyra knew that there was no way he could ever refuse her. He let out a quiet sigh and ran towards the west at lightning speed.
Based on his understanding of Zelkara, he sincerely hoped that his guess was correct.
On the way out of the city, Veyra could clearly feel that Celeste's body temperature was rising higher and higher. The small hand that had once clutched tightly at his clothes was released already, and she was breathing harder than before. Her entire face was flushed red, while the tiny fox mark on her upper left arm flickered faintly with light.
It was as though their hearts were somehow connected. Veyra could somehow sense exactly what Celeste was feeling at that moment. He instinctively moved faster toward his destination.
