Chapter 21 - CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

"So even primordial dragon beast cubs like being pampered."

Just then, the cub suddenly turned toward the livestream camera.

Its sharp golden eyes narrowed, and for a split second, Evander had the strange feeling that those eyes had locked onto his own.

The cub bared its tiny fangs, letting out a low growl.

Evander raised an eyebrow.

"Did it just threaten me?"

His gaze lingered on the cub for another moment before a thoughtful look flashed across his eyes.

"It seems this little guy's rank is much higher than A-rank."

Meanwhile the barrage exploded with laughter.

[HAHAHAHA! Did Baby Dragon just glare at the camera?]

[It definitely did!]

[Possessive already? Anyone looking at its human gets threatened!]

[Anchor Yu belongs to everyone!]

[The person above has a death wish.]

Evander looked at the tiny cub before calmly muttering,

"A little overprotective."

For some reason, Evander felt a little sour.

The more he watched Yu Weiwei, the more impossible it became to look away.

Even he didn't notice that his gaze lingered on Yu Weiwei far longer than it should have.

Outside, the afternoon sun slowly dipped toward the horizon.

Inside the quiet room, the livestream continued to play.

And for the first time in years, General Evander felt that his rare holiday wasn't boring at all.

Yu Weiwei stood quietly before the corpse of the primordial dragon beasts.

With a gentle wave of his hand, countless emerald vines burst from the earth, weaving themselves around the mounds of soil. White flowers bloomed among the vines, their petals swaying softly in the breeze as though bidding farewell to the guardians who had sacrificed everything for their child.

Only after everything was finished did Yu Weiwei turn around.

His gaze landed on the enormous corpse of the crimson lizard.

Such a powerful beast was a treasure from head to toe. Its scales could be forged into defensive equipment, its flesh contained abundant life energy, and its blood could be refined into countless medicines.

Naturally, he had no intention of wasting it.

With a thought, the gigantic corpse vanished from everyone's sight.

The livestream instantly exploded.

[Where did it go?!]

[Did anyone see that? It disappeared!]

[Storage equipment? Impossible! I didn't see a spatial button anywhere on Anchor Yu's body.]

[Could it be his Dimension Authority?]

[That doesn't make sense. Didn't he use storage space before awakening his Dimension Authority inside the Truth Seer?]

[That's right! I clearly remember seeing him store farming tools during his first livestream.]

[Then... what exactly is going on?]

[Is there another Authority?]

Yu Weiwei glanced at the rapidly scrolling comments before calmly looking away.

...Oops.

Looks like I wasn't careful enough.

Still, he wasn't planning to explain himself.

Some secrets were better left as secrets.

At that moment, an arrogant voice interrupted the peaceful atmosphere.

"You! Come over here."

Yu Weiwei turned his head.

The remaining four young nobles stood together with two surviving lackeys behind them, although their clothes were stained with dirt and blood, their expressions remained as arrogant as ever.

The remaining one of the lackey was clinging onto a guard. It was clear he was forced here he had been scared of his wits.

One of the nobles frowned impatiently.

"What are you standing there for? Escort us back immediately."

"My family will reward you handsomely if you send us home."

The five surviving guards immediately changed expressions.

"Young Masters..."

One of the older guards stepped forward and hurriedly bowed toward Yu Weiwei.

"Sir, please don't mind them. They've suffered quite a shock."

As he spoke, he desperately signaled the young nobles with his eyes to apologise.

Stop talking!

Can't they feel it?

The young man standing before them had effortlessly killed a crimson lizard capable of wiping out their entire group. Even the primordial dragon beasts had entrusted their cub to him before dying.

If someone like this wanted to kill them...

Not even ten families behind those young masters could save them.

Unfortunately, the nobles completely failed to understand his warning.

"What nonsense are you saying?"

"We're nobles! Why should we lower ourselves to apologize to a commoner?"

The livestream erupted.

[Commoner? Did they seriously call Yu darling a commoner?]

[Ugh! Upstairs are you crazy?! Don't you dare call out Weiwei Yu darling! That's disgusting.]

[Please don't associate our Weiwei with that snake.]

[These nobles are so annoying.]

[I've never wanted to punch someone through a screen this badly.]

[How are these idiots still alive?]

Yu Weiwei looked at them with an indifferent expression.

"So..."

"You want me to escort criminals home?"

The nobles froze.

"What did you say?"

Yu Weiwei casually tapped his communicator.

"I've already transmitted the entire livestream recording to the authorities."

"The charges include attempted kidnapping, attempted rape, attempted murder of a minor, abuse of authority, and conspiracy."

"As for whether there are additional charges..."

He smiled faintly.

"I'm sure the investigators are more professional than I am."

The nobles' expressions instantly changed.

"You dare!"

"You know who we are?!"

"You'll regret offending our families!"

Yu Weiwei didn't even spare them another glance.

Instead, he confirmed the report.

"Central Police System."

"Report confirmed."

"Location transmitted."

A mechanical voice answered almost instantly.

"Report accepted. Crimes involving minors have been classified as the highest priority. Enforcement units will arrive in sixty-eight seconds."

The smiles on the nobles' faces disappeared.

One of them turned pale.

"You... you're serious?"

Before anyone could react, several black streaks shot across the sky.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

More than ten humanoid police robots landed around the group, their blue mechanical eyes immediately locking onto the nobles.

"Identity verification complete."

"Criminal evidence obtained."

"Attempting to flee or resist arrest will result in immediate suppression."

Without giving them any chance to struggle, energy restraints wrapped around all six of them.

"No! Let me go!"

"My father is—"

The robot interrupted coldly.

"Influencing judicial procedures through abuse of family authority has been added to your charges."

The livestream exploded into celebration.

[HAHAHAHA! Well deserved!]

[Finally! Someone put those parasites in their place!]

[Police robots are still as ruthless as ever.]

[I just hope their families don't pull strings behind the scenes...]

[Yeah... nobles always find loopholes.]

[Not this time, I hope. The whole Federation watched this happen live.]

As the police robots escorted the struggling nobles away, silence finally returned to the forest.

Yu Weiwei walked toward the ancient tree where the young boy was still hiding.

Yu Weiwei used his dimension authority to bring him down. The moment the boy got down he looked at Yu Weiwei nervously.

"Big Brother..."

"It's over."

Yu Weiwei smiled gently.

"You can go see your sister now."

The little boy's eyes immediately turned red.

He ran as fast as he could before throwing himself onto his sister.

"Sister..."

"I'm sorry..."

"I couldn't protect you..."

The girl comforted him. "I'm fine."

Yu Weiwei walked towards the siblings. The girl looked sixteen or seventeen.

"Can you walk?" Yu Weiwei asked.

The girl nodded gratefully.

"Yes. Thank you for saving us."

Yu Weiwei gave a small nod before looking at the little boy.

Watching the siblings reunite, Yu Weiwei carried the little cub who had been hindering his walking before walking away.

"Huh?"

The siblings blinked, seeing Yu Weiwei actually walking away, they hurried after him.

"W-Wait!"

Yu Weiwei stopped and looked back.

"Our home is this way too," the girl said somewhat embarrassed.

Yu Weiwei stopped before nodding. They are probably too scared to be alone and wanted them to escort them back.

"Then let's go."

The little primordial dragon beast cub's tail kept snuggled into Yu Weiwei arms, looking at the siblings warily.

The three walked through the forest in silence until the little boy could no longer contain himself.

"My name is Noah!" he suddenly declared proudly.

The girl lightly flicked his forehead.

"Introduce yourself properly."

"Ouch..."

Rubbing his forehead, he grinned sheepishly.

"My full name is Noah Hart."

The girl sighed.

"I'm Lily Hart. Thank you again for saving us."

"Yu Weiwei."

The siblings repeated the name in unison, as though trying to remember it forever.

Noah secretly peeked at Yu Weiwei every few seconds.

His eyes sparkled brighter and brighter.

"Mister Yu..."

"Hm?"

"You're amazing!"

"You beat that huge monster with one punch!"

"And then you healed my sister!"

"And those bad guys couldn't even say anything back to you!"

The more he spoke, the more excited he became.

"I want to become as strong as you someday!"

The livestream immediately filled with amused comments.

[He's officially become Weiwei's number one fan.]

[Look at those sparkling eyes. They're practically stars.]

[Children really are the most honest.]

Yu Weiwei couldn't help smiling.

"Then you'll have to work hard."

"I will!"

Noah nodded vigorously before carefully reaching toward Yu Weiwei's hand.

However—

Growl...

A tiny purple tail swished towards Noah's stretched arm.

The primordial dragon beast cub glared at Noah with puffed-up cheeks before wrapping its tail around Yu Weiwei's wrist possessively.

Noah froze.

"..."

The cub stared back without blinking.

The two cubs stared at each other neither backing out.
