The two of them made their way to the center of the small lake. Having learned his lesson from last time, Drew Thorne carved a mark into a nearby tree to keep from getting lost.
As it turned out, when they reached the center of the small lake, they discovered a table.
The table stood like a solitary island, abandoned in this place.
Jane Sterling was a little surprised. She saw that the ground beneath the table was soft, as if something was buried there.
'The system only said it was in the center of this island,' she thought. 'It didn't say anything about it being on a table.'
With the ground so soft underfoot, it was hard not to suspect that the object was buried in the soil.
At this thought, Jane Sterling quickly took off her backpack. From inside, she pulled out a Shovel—a foldable one, at that.
For a moment, Drew Thorne was dumbfounded as he stared at Jane Sterling.
"You... You're..."
Drew Thorne was so stunned he stammered. Jane Sterling, however, spoke casually.
