"Yeah."
Jane Sterling picked at her ear. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"What did you say? You're the owner of this island?"
Drew Thorne found Jane Sterling's incredulous expression amusing.
He loved seeing her make that face.
"Yeah, this island is mine. It was just a deserted island before, but I bought it at an auction. I thought it had potential, you know, so I developed it into a resort island. I never expected to make my money back in just two years."
Jane Sterling glanced at Drew Thorne and couldn't help but give him a thumbs-up.
"That's just like you. It seems like being a private investigator is a waste of your talents. You should be in investment."
Drew Thorne smiled at Jane Sterling. "There are a bunch of cabins and some shops here. We can go take a look around."
With that, Drew Thorne led Jane Sterling forward. But as they walked, before Jane even had a chance to look unsettled, Drew started to feel that something was wrong.
