Jane was sitting in the middle of the sedan chair, but Drew Thorne's legs were getting a bit cramped.
Jane frowned slightly, and in the next moment, Drew pulled her up from the floor.
Caught completely off guard, Jane landed right in Drew Thorne's lap.
Jane was taken aback and struggled for a moment on his lap.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing...?"
Drew Thorne put his index finger to his lips, shushing her.
"Shh, don't talk!"
The figures carrying the sedan chair all turned to look at them, their expressions utterly bizarre.
Jane gave an awkward smile and decided to just close her eyes.
Not two seconds later, the ghosts carrying the sedan chair, as if they hadn't seen a thing, turned back around and resumed their task.
Jane felt the warmth of his lap beneath her. She unconsciously turned her head away, letting Drew continue to hold her.
Drew gazed at Jane's profile, a smile playing on his lips. He leaned in, gently sniffing her hair, and couldn't help but swallow.
