At her words, Ian Sheffield's normally calm and self-possessed brow furrowed deeply. "I've taken care of the media. Everything will be fine, so don't worry."
The morning air was cold. He took a jacket out of a bag, walked over to her, removed the black jacket she was wearing, and handed it to Adam Holloway. "I had breakfast sent over. You should eat something in a little while."
"I'm not hungry."
Erin Lowell took the jacket from Ian Sheffield, slipping it on. She then reached for the other one in Adam Holloway's hands. "Give it to me, please. It's someone else's. I need to return it."
Adam Holloway stood frozen, glancing at his boss, unsure whether to give it to her or not.
Ian Sheffield's gaze followed, his expression impassive. "Are you planning on wearing it?"
Caught in the middle, Adam Holloway finally managed a strained laugh after a long moment. "The jacket's dirty. I was just going to get it cleaned before giving it back."
