Lost in her happy imagination, Mei Lin speared another dumpling.
She took a bite. It was the taste of chives and egg again, but this time, she had dipped it in red chili sauce.
The spiciness was different from the black sauce. It was intensely stimulating, making her involuntarily gasp for air. Chili peppers truly had that alluring flavor, but this wasn't something a socialite should eat in public.
'Eating this... is far too unbecoming of a lady.'
As the thought crossed her mind, Mei Lin ate her third dumpling. She'd heard there were five different fillings today. 'I wonder what the fresh meat dumplings taste like?'
Her curiosity piqued, she took a bite. It was another flavor so delicious it made her toes curl!
Mei Lin didn't pause again, devouring the remaining four dumplings in her bowl in one go. 'Simply divine.'
