After Renee Jennings finished speaking, she carefully observed Evening Maple's expression.
The woman's expression went blank for a moment. Her eyes gradually grew moist as she asked in a trembling voice, "What… what did you just say? I didn't hear you clearly."
Renee Jennings was silent for a few seconds before repeating what she had just said.
Evening Maple's lips trembled, her voice tinged with tears. "They actually swapped my high blood pressure medication?"
Renee Jennings glanced sideways at the dejected furry little guy. "Buddy was the one who discovered it. That's why he stopped you from taking the medicine."
"So that's what happened." Evening Maple gazed at Sunny, reaching out to gently stroke his head. A faint smile touched her lips. "Thank you, Buddy."
After speaking, she fell silent. The emotions she had been fighting to hold back finally broke through, and two streams of tears slid silently from the corners of her eyes.
