Renee Jennings was momentarily speechless at Wes's matter-of-fact tone.
She pursed her lips before asking, "Did your master tell you she bought that as food for you?"
Wes blinked his big dog eyes. "Does that even need to be said? If it wasn't for me to eat, why would Master have brought it home?"
Renee Jennings: "..."
[System 009 suddenly spoke up: Dogs are highly intelligent pets with a very strong sense of territory and jealousy. It's highly likely it ate that little kitten on purpose.]
Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow slightly, a little surprised that System 009 would pop up at a time like this.
She thought so, too. Wes had deliberately eaten the kitten.
"You should know that the little kitten was your master's new pet. Its status in this house was the same as yours."
Hearing this, Wes immediately jumped to his feet, barking in protest, "Nonsense! Stop trying to fool a dog! That's impossible! No pet can compare to me!"
