Hearing Renee Brooks's answer, Kyle Morgan stood up and placed a file in front of her.
"Do 'just friends' chat like this?"
Printed on the pages were the chat logs of Evan Shepherd and Renee Brooks sending private photos to each other.
Renee Brooks's face paled, and she shoved the file onto the floor.
Kyle Morgan bent down, picked it up, and returned to his seat.
Henry Stark eyed her, his gaze scrutinizing and his tone sharp. "On the evening of May 22nd, you were the one who asked Evan Shepherd out, weren't you?"
Renee Brooks wanted to deny it, but then she remembered they had Evan Shepherd's phone and her chat history with him. She could only nod. "Yes."
Henry Stark: "Where did you two go that night?"
Renee Brooks bit her lip. "W-We went to a private cinema to watch a movie."
Henry Stark: "Was anyone else there besides you two?"
Renee Brooks clenched her fists tightly and didn't say a word for a long moment.
