Meanwhile, Mr. Sherman hurried to the main gate. Spotting Evan Keller and his group standing there, he quickly walked over and extended a hand to greet them.
Evan reached out and gave his hand a polite shake before explaining, "We've heard a lot recently about how renowned this convalescent community is. The police department wants to provide better care for our heroes injured in the line of duty, so we thought we'd come over and learn from your experience."
Mr. Sherman forced a smile. He knew the excuse was complete bullshit, but unable to expose it, he could only swallow his distaste and accept it.
"It is our honor to provide you with some useful insights. As it happens, the families of some of our residents have just arrived as well. You officers are welcome to join the tour." Mr. Sherman stepped aside to clear a path.
