Mr. Sherman enlarged the surveillance feed of the nursing home's entrance, revealing the security guard and a group of family members standing opposite him. The guard's phone was placed in the middle, clearly on speakerphone.
"This was a last-minute decision. We want the families to see the true operational state of our nursing home community so they'll feel more at ease entrusting their loved ones to our care.
"Don't worry, just let them in," Mr. Sherman said. After getting a clear look at the situation at the main gate, he swallowed the words he was about to say and quickly changed his tune. Pleasantries still had to be exchanged.
