We see a scene in which, inside an airplane, the pilot speaks in a shaky voice.
He says, "Attention....everyone please calm down... This might... b-be the last time you all get to talk to your favorite person... So... Please don't waste your time... Say your prayers and...and..." (His voice was too weak...he was about to cry and just at that moment he cut the announcement)
The whole airplane's passengers were crying... Sakura was in there too; she was calling someone.
Scene shifts back to the Miyamarus. Mrs. Miyamaru answers the call in a shaky, weak voice.
Mrs. Miyamaru: "H-hello... Sakura, please tell me the news is fake... Please tell me your airplane isn't-"
Just about then, Sakura speaks up, cutting her off between her sentences.
Sakura: "Mom... I just... wanted to say a few things... Please... let me say my last words peacefully...put the phone on speaker." (She said those words, trying her best not to cry and trying her best to keep a straight face with a few intentional nervous chuckles)
Mrs. Miyamaru puts the phone on speaker...tears were rolling down her cheek.
Sakura: (with a shaky tone) Mom... Dad... Please never argue again, for Haruka's sake... He is just a kid... He has to grow up in a... Nice environment...and Haruka...my sweet little brother, please grow up and become what you want... I guess there won't be a next time when I visit you...you see, it's just.....(She screams out) GUYS I LOVE YOU ALL SO PLE-" Before she could finish her sentence, with a loud thud-like sound... The call ends.
Haruka was too overwhelmed to do anything... Suddenly, he was feeling lonely, the kind of loneliness you feel after the guests leave your house, no... Even more lonely as if he is the only person in the world right now. He feels so sick that he collapses on his knees... Tears kept falling from his eyes... he wanted to cry, but for some reason that expression wasn't just coming out right now. Mr. Miyamaru started to blame Mrs. Miyamaru for all of it, saying it was her fault. They already forgot what Sakura said. Haruka was just crying... He just lost the only person who understood him, alongside her, he lost Kenjiro and Marie...Haruka's eyes were wide open, and tears kept falling; he was too traumatized to even speak. Nothing was working straight in his mind... He ran towards his room, he checked the pictures of Sakura and Him together, and he kept crying and sobbing.
He was lying on his bed... Staring at the ceiling above, lost in deep thoughts.
Suddenly, he thought to himself... "Maybe I should escape this hell... I want... to live like a normal human... But I have no one else other than big sis... maybe the neighbor's house?... Oh yes... Jack... uncle Jack will surely take me in... he visits whenever I get sick...yeah...Maybe I should go there." Even though he was thinking this to himself, tears kept appearing in his eyes... He packed up the pictures that had him and Sakura included in them. He then, when he is done packing all the stuff he wanted to, he started to walk down the stairs...slow but steady. Once he sees the main room is clear and the argument sound is from his parents' bedroom, he takes the chance and runs away from the house. Coming outside the door, he was scared, but he knew... Jack lives just next door, so even though his eyes were teary, he ran quickly.
After coming in front of Jack's door, he started to knock. Jack opens thedoor.
Jack: "Oh, Haruka, what is it?... Come in, come in..."
Haruka goes inside, and Jack brings him a glass of water. After being comfortable, Jack asked him what happened and why he was here all of a sudden. Haruka began to explain everything. From the start to the end. Jack seems to understand the situation, so he simply lets Haruka finish his words. Jack nods with an understanding expression, and he thought that he should probably adopt Haruka. He should let Haruka live with him. He was a doctor, so keeping Haruka in his house and letting him read in school won't cause him a problem.
Just as said. Haruka started to live with Jack. Haruka's parents were searching for him, and eventually, when it got darker, they decided to go back to the house and continue searching again tomorrow.
The next day, when Haruka wakes up, he wakes up in a comfy bed, a room in Jack's house. He woke because of the sounds of sirens. Police? Ambulance? What was it? He thought to himself... As he peeked through the windows, he could see that over his house, or where he used to live, the Miyamaru house, there were police vans. He searched for Jack in the house. After finding Jack, who was in the kitchen preparing food, he said to him with a curious expression, "Uncle Jack!... There's a police officer over my house... I wanna go there... Please come with me!!!..."
Jack, sensing his desperation, didn't hesitate and started to walk with Haruka over his house...
Going there and passing through the crowd...Haruka saw a sight that he wasn't ready for. His parents are lying dead in the main room. Blood all over the floor. A gun in Mr. Miyamaru's hand and 1 hole over his head, another over Mrs. Miyamaru's Head...
