Keifer's POV
The rain made everything shiny — the streets, the puddles, even the old warehouse by the docks. The lights looked like melted gold and silver on the wet ground.
Our cars stopped by the warehouse. Keigan opened his door first. "Keif , we're clear," he said. Onyx that is what they called me know
I nodded. I had to look confident — I was the boss of the wolves , the biggest gang from the Philippines.
Inside the warehouse, the gang was waiting for us — the Night Shadows. They were extremely famous in London. Everyone said they could do anything and never got caught.
In the middle, there was someone wearing a shiny gold mask. It reflected the light like magic. You could just feel that she were in charge. That was their leader — the Golden Sparrow.
"Onyx," Sparrow said calmly. "Welcome to London."
"You lead the Night Shadows," I said. "I've heard a lot about you, u r the leader of every gang in London ."
"That's true," Sparrow said, and it sounded like they were smiling. "But your the wolves are respected too ."
I nodded.
Sparrow tilted their head. ". Now let's get straight to the point. I wanted to meet you because control Asia, and we control Europe. Together, we could control everything and everyone ."
I looked at them hard, but the mask gave nothing away. Whoever they were, they seemed like someone who'd been through a lot — and won every time.
"You're not asking to be friends," I said.
"No," Sparrow answered coldly . "I'm asking for balance. Two leaders, one network. Imagine it — London and Manila, side by side."
The wolves watched me, waiting. I stayed quiet and calm. "I'll think about it," I said finally.
Sparrow stepped closer and held out a gloved hand. "Do. But don't take too long — the Night Shadows don't wait."
I took their hand. Gold glove, black glove — both steady. For a second, everything was still, like the air before a storm. Then we let go.
"Safe travels, Onyx," Sparrow said as they turned to leave.
They looked over their shoulder. "Don't forget night shadows don't wait ."
I watched the her disappear into the darkness.
