Twilight on Narukami Island
On Narukami Island of Inazuma, the sea breeze carried a salty, damp scent as waves crashed against the shore and wind chimes in the shrine tinkled softly. Aether, the Traveler, stood with his golden hair fluttering in the wind, beside him the neatly formed ranks of the Inazuma Army, blades and spears standing like a forest.
Guan Yu's face was as red as a jujube; his beautiful beard danced wildly in the wind, and he carried the Green Dragon Crescent Blade over his shoulder, exuding a chilling murderous aura. Zhang Fei, with his leopard-like head and round eyes, his face covered in a tangled beard, held the Eight-Zhang Serpent Spear and let out occasional roars that shook people to their core. Zhao Yun, clad in silver armor and plain robes, wielded a silver spear that glinted with cold light, his eyes firm and calm.
Lü Bu's army descended like a dark cloud, their battle flags flapping loudly and the soldiers' shouts shaking the heavens. Mounted on the Red Hare, Lü Bu held the Sky-Shattering Halberd, wearing a golden crown, imposing as a war god descended upon the mortal realm.
"Hahaha! Today marks the end of Narukami Island! All of you shall become ghosts beneath my blade!" Lü Bu's wild laughter echoed far and wide, brimming with endless arrogance and confidence.
The battle was about to erupt.
Archers of the Inazuma Army loosed their arrows first, a dense rain of arrows flying toward Lü Bu's forces like locusts. Yet Lü Bu remained unhurried, whirling his halberd at high speed and knocking the incoming arrows aside one by one, sparks flying everywhere.
Seeing this, Zhang Fei let out a thunderous shout: "Filthy Lü Bu! Your life ends here!"
He charged like a fierce tiger descending a mountain, thrusting his serpent spear straight for Lü Bu's throat. Lü Bu tilted slightly and dodged the attack with ease, then struck back with his halberd. The weapons clashed violently with a deafening clang, numbing Zhang Fei's arm.
Noticing Zhang Fei was at a disadvantage, Zhao Yun immediately brandished his silver spear and attacked Lü Bu from the flank. Lü Bu parried with his halberd, and the two fought fiercely, neither gaining the upper hand.
Aether would not be outdone either. Anemo energy gathered in his palms, forming sharp blades that flew toward Lü Bu's soldiers, claiming several lives in an instant. Guan Yu swung his Green Dragon Crescent Blade, its light flashing like lightning; each strike repelled a wave of enemy troops.
Still, the offensive of Lü Bu's army grew fiercer. Their cavalry charged like a tidal wave, shattering the Inazuma defense lines. Though the Inazuma soldiers fought desperately, they gradually weakened under the overwhelming assault.
"Hold your ground, soldiers!" Aether shouted loudly, boosting their morale. He continuously unleashed elemental abilities, fighting a life-or-death battle against the enemy.
Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun fought with perfect coordination, forming an iron triangle that charged left and right through the enemy formation, slaying countless foes.
But Lü Bu was simply too powerful. He charged into the core of the Inazuma formation, leaving chaos and casualties in his wake. The defense lines finally crumbled under his assault. Soldiers retreated one after another, their faces filled with terror and despair.
"Retreat! Fall back now!" Aether reluctantly ordered the withdrawal.
Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun fought while retreating, protecting the remaining Inazuma forces as they withdrew deeper into the island.
Lü Bu watched their fleeing figures and burst into laughter. "I shall spare you for today. Next time, Narukami Island will be mine for the taking!"
Smoke lingered over the beaches of Narukami Island. The setting sun bled red over the scarred land. This defeat made everyone realize that protecting Narukami Island would be a long and arduous journey.
Parts of Inazuma's territory had already been occupied by Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu. Now even the crucial Narukami Island was on the brink of falling. The flames of war were drawing near the Shogunate. No one knew if the Electro Archon could defeat Lü Bu and liberate Inazuma.
