Chapter 21 - Part20:Three Kingdoms Unite Against Lü Bu

Alliance Across Worlds

Amid a strange, shimmering teleportation, the Traveler stepped onto the mysterious land of Sumeru, accompanied by the booming roar of Zhang Fei, the steady presence of Guan Yu, and the gentle fanning of Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong. Behind them, Mondstadt's windmills were blackened by war, the ice plains of Snezhnaya stained with blood, Inazuma's cherry blossoms withered on scorched earth, and Liyue's stone peaks trembled under Lü Bu's iron hooves. Commoners fled with their families, fear and exhaustion in their eyes, placing their last hope in this lush and enigmatic nation.

Inside Sumeru City, the scents of spices and magic intertwined. The moment the Traveler and their companions set foot, they were surrounded by curious yet wary gazes from the people of Sumeru. Zhang Fei planted his Eight-Fang Serpent Spear on the ground and roared:

"What place is this? Will it shelter us outsiders?"

Zhuge Liang waved his feather fan gently and smiled:

"Yide, be patient. Let this humble one first negotiate with the Sages of Sumeru."

By then, Lü Bu's power was at its peak. Riding his Red Hare horse, wielding the Sky-Shattering Halberd, he rampaged across the conquered four nations. His ranks were filled with fierce warriors, his soldiers as numerous as ants. His ambition swelled, his gaze already set on Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan, determined to bring the entire world under his rule.

Wearing long robes, Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong entered the Hall of Wisdom in Sumeru. Inside, the Sages sat in a circle, their eyes filled with scrutiny. Zhuge Liang bowed respectfully and spoke in a loud, clear voice:

"Honored Sages, Lü Bu's tyranny plagues every land. Mondstadt, Snezhnaya, Inazuma, and Liyue have fallen. Sumeru will be next. When the lips are gone, the teeth grow cold. If we do not unite, we shall be defeated one by one."

One Sage frowned:

"Your words hold truth, but how can you guarantee victory? Lü Bu is ferocious, his army mighty."

Pang Tong replied:

"Lü Bu has courage but no wit. His army is large, yet lacks strict discipline and long-term strategy. United, our wisdom shall complement one another, our resources be shared. We will surely find his weakness."

Meanwhile, outside Sumeru's walls, the Traveler spoke with the Guardians of Sumeru. They recounted Lü Bu's atrocities and showed tattered relics from across the lands: Mondstadt's Anemo Sigils, fragments of Inazuma's Visions. These touched the hearts of the Guardians.

Through Zhuge Liang's efforts, Sumeru agreed to form an alliance. The Traveler, Zhuge Liang, and their companions then journeyed to Fontaine. Inside the City of Machines, gears spun and steam filled the air. Facing the doubts of the Fontainians, Zhuge Liang laid out detailed tactical plans. Zhang Fei thumped his chest and vowed:

"Zhang Fei shall charge ahead and cut them to pieces!"

Guan Yu nodded slightly:

"Guan Yu shall do all in his power to protect our alliance."

In the end, Fontaine was persuaded and joined the alliance.

On Natlan's scorching earth, lava flowed. Amid fire and heat, Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong explained the stakes to Natlan's leaders. They described the threat of Lü Bu's expansion and painted a bright future of unity. The Traveler showed the longing for peace among people of all nations, finally moving Natlan.

When the flags of the Three Kingdoms waved alongside those of the Traveler and their allies beneath Sumeru's sky, the alliance was officially formed.

Standing on a high platform, Zhuge Liang spoke with unwavering resolve:

"Now, we stand side by side. For freedom. For our homes. We declare war on Lü Bu's tyranny!"

Zhang Fei roared. Guan Yu stroked his beard. The Traveler tightened their grip on their sword. Warriors of Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan shouted as one.

A war that would decide the fate of the world was about to begin.
