The hands of time galloped faster. Weeks upon weeks, month rolled on month. Everyday passed like it never came. They were all in a flash. Two years had passed and it felt like yesterday. For some people, change occurred, while some literally experienced the opposite. But destiny surely never changes, they could only be delayed but can never be disrupted.
Jay had grew up sporadically. Not only his physical aspect did. He had been severely baptized with the water of wisdom, he was more clever than he thought. His divine power soured higher.
Although he never displaced them to a second part but he built and stimulated it secretly. A secret weapon he could make use of, when he no longer has a card to play.
Prince Luther was no longer considered a pain in the neck. He had drastically changed.
Perhaps he finally realized he was too much of a hooligan. The number of time word flew out of Jay mouth voluntarily could be counted, they had numbers! What are you always quiet? Hannah tiny voice ringed out from behind.
Jay gave no response, he lowered his chin, focusing on the big black boot he was cleaning. His eyes were fixed beneath, refusing to glance at the top. Hannah waited for God to come, perhaps Jay Would give a response but he didn't. I never knew you were this shy a person, she said pulling forward a stool few centimeters away to her closest proximity.
Oh no! Jay exclaimed in his thought. Picking a stool to sit, means she wasn't going anytime soon. Hannah fixed her gaze staring intimately at him. "Yes of course" it was extremely difficult to decline having eye contact with her. She was so beautiful, he knew. One would mistake her for a fairy mermaid. He would glance faintly, adjusting his sight towards Hannah.
But her eyes were widely at alert, ready to catch a grip of his white and yellowish eyeball.
When it became glaring that Jay was taking his stubbornness to a different dimension and won't make eye contact, she decided to pull a hard string on him. Hannah poked him on the head, scattering his long and coiled hair.
Finally, the quiet and speechless antelope raised his glance up and exported words out of his mouth. "My princess" is anything the matter! Jay asked. His hair shone so black and coiled.
His teeth shone white like that of the morning snow and Oh! "His face", they were meek and soft, yet ambitious. These were the thoughts that germinated and dominated Hannah mind.
Why are you always quiet, Hannah curiously questioned, leaning her hand on her chin.
I only find it worthy to talk when I'm asked to. Why? Are you afraid? No my princess, I'm not. Calling me princess doesn't sound good to me, call me Hannah. The statement was too heavy for Jay to keep a blind eye.
He brought forward his sleeping face, planting his gaze on the princess. Was she joking around? Of course, that will be the case. Perhaps, this was a test! How wicked could she be.
There is no way I'm falling into her infected nest, he assured himself. You are of the royal blood my princess, a royalty like you should be accorded with outmost sincerity and respect.
He completed his statement, defending himself in the most humble way he could.
If you would excuse me "my princess " I would love to go ahead with my daily routine.
He vanished from her presence, bowing his head a little as a symbol of respect. Wow! Hannah thought. A special kind of feeling crucified her mind.
She could feel it. Jay was just too different. He act and behave anonymously. Two years in the palace and he had never for once engage in any problematic square. She suddenly grew interest in him. He was a cool and demure human being. A teen popularly known as the trident bearer. Hannah was getting curious. There was definitely more to Jay than he appears.
She just needed to grow patient. Hannah found it disgusting whenever Jay scripted the word "princess" out of his little cute mouth. Other could but Jay was an exception. She wanted him to regard her as a friend and not with some princess honor. Cole apartment grew colder as the days passed by. The noticeable absence of the low ranked and exceptionally proud teenage member of the hunting squad became so glaring and clear to Cole and the hunters.
There was no one to tease or make fun off. "Oh yes" Jay was that kind of person. He had a tremendous way of initiating laughter, just by the awkward look on his face and his comedian attitude filled with different scenario and suspensive drama.
The king of Albion had a particular behavior that has now turn into a culture. It was the popular day of the mid-year. A time when the arrival of the fortune seer is always welcomed to the palace. It has been imbibed as an habit that cannot be neglected not rejected.
The assignment should be strictly carried out only for the king and his royal family, comprising of his wife, son and daughters. It is not to be performed for people outside the royal home.
The fortunes seer happens to be a well known woman. Rumor has it that she inherited her power from the depth of the stream, other said she sacrificed her only son to the spirit of the air thereby making her barren till date. Another source claims and defined her as a spirit of the underworld who got lost into the human world and couldn't find her way back.
Different news and myth went on about the origin of her power but none came from a verified source. They were all product of assumption. Back to the palace scene, the assignment always started from the younger daughter or the son of the royal family, which makes Hannah the first to be examined. The fortune seer stretched forth her hand toward Hannah and closed her eye, going deep in spirit.
Hannah was said to have a bright and undisputed future with colorful dreams. Luther on the other hand was foreseen to be destined for greatness only if he threads in the right direction.
Ariana was foreseen for marriage but the seer made a disturbing remark, "but not with a royal blood". The king felt surprised. If not with a royal blood, then who exactly?
The fortune deer was done with her assignment, she bowed to the king, turning back to take her leave. She disrupted her movement, putting her leg to a halt at the sight of Jay who was coming out of the palace chamber with dirty boots hanged around his shoulder. She froze! The aura behind his figure wasn't something she could understand. She got very curious.
Stop kid! Jay faced back, looking so lost and confused, not actually certain if he was the one been referred to. Come over kid, she added more preference to her statement.
Jay leaned forward, scratching his head as he approaches. She studied him for some seconds. What your name? I'm Jay, he responded almost immediately.
He is my son special messenger, the king decided to come in between. He is also the kid who helped the kingdom retrieve the lost trident, he added. The fortune seer could read through Jay. The revelation she saw was too powerful and mysterious for the human mouth to compose. Her feet trembled, seeing the genesis of Jay identity.
The king seems lost in the ongoing scenario. Seeing the fortune seer, bowing her head lower, showing Jay a high degree of respect. "Marcel", she whispered slowly. Jay was dumb! This was another proof of confusion. Why were they all bowing down in respect. Divergent episode of question raced through the king shallow mind, he found no meaningful interpretation to the ongoing scenario.
I see light and darkness surrounding the four wall of your soul but you are the light, a liberator of freedom, a hope for the people, a king that worth more than kings. You are gifted with a rare kind of destiny, a special one, a type that has no duplicate.
Want to know if Jay is the mighty child... or if we should expect another?
