They arrived at Shinji's house at exactly 5:00 A.M.
Without wasting a second, Shinji led them straight into his lab.
That's when they noticed him.
A young man stood quietly near the wall—calm, composed, and unreadable. His presence alone made the room feel heavier.
Shinji broke the silence.
Shinji: "This is Waku. He played a major role in the battle against the Kaito monster you faced weeks ago. His movements were so overwhelming that the monster chose to retreat."
Everyone stiffened.
Shinji: "He'll be protecting you during this mission. Don't misunderstand—he won't guide you, and he won't speak unless it's absolutely necessary. He's from POX… a Malius hero."
The weight of those words settled in the room.
Shino stepped forward, trying to ease the tension.
Shino: "You look like a true professional. Nice to meet you, brother."
Waku: "Thanks for the compliment… and it's nice to meet you all as well."
Shinji stepped forward, his tone turning serious.
Shinji: "Now listen carefully. I'll explain each of your roles during the mission."
He looked at Shino first.
Shinji: "Shino will be our strategist. He will guide the team and make all tactical decisions."
Then Shizuku.
Shinji: "Shizuku will act as our danger detector—our observer. Your awareness will keep everyone alive."
Momoshimo was next.
Shinji: "Momoshimo, you are our shield. Your role is defense."
Shinji turned to Jeisuke.
Shinji: "Jeisuke… you are our sword. Our only option against low-reberu Merus monsters. You will handle combat when it's unavoidable."
He glanced briefly at Waku.
Shinji: "Waku will only intervene if a high-reberu monster appears. Do not expect his help otherwise."
Finally, Shinji faced Akaimo.
Shinji: "And most importantly—Akaimo. Your job is to collect the liquid sample. You'll carry all the necessary equipment."
The room went silent.
Shinji: "Every one of you has a single priority."
He looked at them one by one.
Shinji: "Protect Akaimo at all costs. While he collects the dark purple liquid, your lives come second."
A pause.
Shinji: "You are dismissed."
