Albur took another step further into the shaft, while balancing himself to not fall into the slope.
"Can you hear me?!"
"Yes! I could! I need help! Please!"
Albur ensured its a survivor.
"Who's gonna save that guy with you? You can't go alone." Asked Rhea.
"I think I can go with Albur. You guys can stay here and break the core." Mysty stepped out.
Rhea stared at Johnson, he nodded lightly.
"Well let's go then, the survivor need help now."
"Wait a second Rookie, you're going down there without a rope?"
"Why do I need a rope?"
"If not how are you two coming up? This slope is very steep."
Johnson looked at Covie.
"I guess Covie can help with that."
"Huh?"
"Your arms, they are flexible, they can reach very long remember?"
"Oh yeah."
Covie extended her arm, making them go longer and longer until stopping when it reached around 70 meters.
"That should be enough. "
Covie tied her arm at Albur and Mysty's waist to let them be able to climb down the slope and come back up easily when she lowered them slowly or pull them up. They both ensured their walkie talkie are functioning and their weapons in a good condition. Rhea took a device from her battle bot that is an analyze device, it can track life signs, energy readings and a simple map. Johnson continued on breaking the wall.
"If you have any problems just contact us alright?"
"Got it."
Covie slowly lowered down her arms. Albur and Mysty slowly slide down the steep shaft. Mysty opened her flashlight while Albur uses the flashlight of his watch.
After 1 whole minute of descending, the 2 reached the bottom of the shaft. They touched Covie's hand to signal her to let go. The arms let go and returned to Covie. Then, the walkie talkie of the two of them buzzed
"Testing 1,2,3. Albur, Mysty, do you copy?"
"This is Albur, copy that."
"This is Mysty, heard you loud and clear."
"Good."
The 2 looked at their surroundings. The whole underground area is very rocky and fibrous purple substances crawled over the whole place.
"What do you guys see down there? Can you describe your surroundings?"
"Uh, it looks rocky, and the whole place is covered with the same purple substances."
"I'm looking at the device, it showed there is at least 10 life signs down there excluding the 2 of you. They are all scattered, it is hard to tell which one is the survivor."
"There are virus lifeforms down here?"
"Apparently yes."
The two walked further into the area, weapons loaded.
They eventually reached a fork in the road, with 3 paths. Around the path are several dead bodies of virus lifeforms.
"Goodness, there must have been a slaughter here."
"What slaughter?"
"We found dead bodies of virus lifeforms down here, lots of them."
"If that's the case then make it snappy, there must be a pack of stronger lifeforms there."
Albur stood at one of the 3 paths.
"Hello? Can you hear me?!" he shouted.
There's no response, only the squirming sounds of the purple substances on the wall can be heard.
Mysty walked to the other path and yelled the same words as Albur.
"I can hear you! I'm over here!"
The survivor yelled.
Mysty turned her head towards Albur.
Albur walked to Mysty's side, and stared at the path.
"Come on, let's go."
The two walked down the path, the way became tighter and more narrow. At one point they even have to squeeze in the tiny gaps between the walls.
"This place is strange."
"This whole tumor is already strange."
They walked further into the area. Then, they came across an area. On the floor, dried blood trails are seen. Next to it are 2 matrasses, and a few empty plastic bottle.
"Wow."
"What's wrong?"
"The survivor had been living down here."
"Wow, impressive."
The 2 eventually arrived at a small T-junction.
Suddenly, the 2 hear footsteps, the walkie talkie buzzed.
"Contact! 1 o'clock!"
Albur and Mysty aimed their weapons at their North-Northeast direction, and shone the lights at that direction.
"Wait! Wait! Don't shoot! Please! I'm the survivor!"
The light shone onto a young man. His hands and legs are trembling, there's injuries all over him and his yellow sports shirt is like he had been splashed by a bucket of blood.
Albur and Mysty lowered their weapons.
"Ok, calm down, sir. We're here to help, are you injured?"
"A little....I have cuts all over my limbs...please...help me out of here..."
"Sir, its gonna be alright, chill."
"Rhea, this is Mysty, we found the survivor."
Mysty talked to her walkie talkie.
"Great."
But then, Albur's attention was caught by the blood all over the survivor's clothing.
"Sir, are you sure you're not badly injured?"
"These...aren't mine.....these are my friend's...."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Monsters! We saw monsters! A-all around here.....One of them caught my friend.....he was teared into half.....in front of m-m-m-y eyes...." the survivor's voice begun to break.
"Ok, sir, its gonna be fine. Please, follow us, we will bring you to safety."
"Thank you.....t-t-thank you..."
The survivor slowly walked to the 2. But then, the walkie talkie buzzed again.
"Contact! 9 o'clock! 3 of them! "
Albur and Mysty turned to their left. The light shone on the targets. They are 3 virus lifeforms, all hissing and getting ready to leap.
The survivor was horrified. He begun to panic. A virus lifeform noticed him, and unleashed a distorted voice.
"J---j--j-oe...h---lpe.....arghhs.....gg.h....a..r..."
The survivor screamed and ran straight down a path next to him. The virus lifeform chased after him.
"Wait! Sir! Don't run!"
The other virus lifeform hissed at Albur.
"Mysty! Go get that virus lifeform and the survivor! I'll deal with these 2!" Albur raised his rifle.
"Alright."
"What's going on down there? Albur? Mysty?"
Mysty sprinted towards the direction the survivor ran, she used her grapple hook to get to sharp turns quickly. At last, she caught up to the virus lifeform and the survivor.
"No...No!"
The virus lifeform screeched and kept chasing the survivor. Mysty fired her pistols at the virus lifeform. The virus lifeform didn't flinch, it kept chasing the survivor. The survivor at last reached a dead end, he fell onto his knees and looked horrified at the virus lifeform.
"No, please! No!"
The virus lifeform leaped,
"Concentration Blast!"
Mysty charged up 2 orbs on her pistols and fired it. The bullets hit the virus lifeform, it was smashed against the wall and fell onto the floor, before it stopped breathing after a few seconds.
The survivor panted heavily, and trembled as he stood up while leaning against the wall.
"Sir...you alright?"
"Y-y-ye."
Mysty brought the survivor back to the area she and Albur found him. There, Albur just killed the other two virus lifeform. He turned his head towards Mysty and the survivor.
"Great job."
"Albur! Mysty! Do you copy?"
Rhea's voice echoed in the area. The 2 pressed the walkie talkie.
"Copy that."
"Are you guys alright?"
"We are."
Suddenly, the whole area started shaking, the purple substances on the wall dried up and stopped glowing.
"Rhea? What's that?"
"Oh, it's...nothing, square head just destroyed the core."
Albur looked towards Mysty, they both smiled at each other.
The 2 then took the survivor back to the shaft.
"Covie! Lower down your arms!" yelled Mysty.
After a few seconds, 2 robot arms lowered down. Albur tied the arms to the survivor's waist and pulled lightly.
"Let the survivor up first." Albur told Rhea using the walkie talkie.
"Copy that."
The survivor was pulled out of the underground shaft, then Mysty, and lastly Albur.
The mission is a success.
