For a being like Abraxas, who had been born for the sake of destruction, the Five Great Gods had always found him infuriating.
Naturally, they had also been thinking of ways to deal with him.
As the ultimate powerhouses of this world, they had eventually found a solution.
The Ultimate Nullifier.
By using this incomparably powerful artifact, one capable of killing beings on the level of the Five Great Gods, they could directly reboot the entire Multiverse.
As long as the Multiverse temporarily ceased to exist, Abraxas, whose existence had been born from destruction, would naturally cease to exist as well.
That was their method for dealing with Abraxas.
Only three people in this world knew about this plan.
Eternity, Galactus, and Annihilus.
Eternity and Karl were responsible for confronting Abraxas head-on and drawing the traitor's attention.
Galactus, meanwhile, was responsible for carrying out the entire plan.
After all, the Ultimate Nullifier was an extremely unusual artifact.
The amount of power it could unleash was directly tied to the willpower of its user.
The stronger the user's will, the greater the power it could unleash.
If an ordinary person used it, they might not even be able to kill a single person.
But if the one wielding this weapon was a being on the level of the Five Great Gods, the entire world could be destroyed.
That was precisely why they had chosen Galactus to wield it.
As one of the strongest among the Five Great Gods, Galactus possessed enough power to use this terrifying weapon to reboot the entire Multiverse.
Through his immense willpower, Galactus could already sense the tremendous battle taking place somewhere within the Multiverse.
Galactus knew.
It was time to act.
Inside his own lair, Galactus took out a small silver device that resembled a lighter.
Although it did not look particularly large—and appeared downright miniature in Galactus's enormous hand—no one could possibly overlook it.
This was one of the most powerful artifacts in the Marvel Universe.
The Ultimate Nullifier!
With this artifact, he could reboot the entire Multiverse and directly reset the world to zero.
As the tremendous shockwaves of battle began reverberating throughout the Multiverse, Galactus made his move.
His immense willpower erupted.
The surrounding space began twisting beneath the force of his will.
Galactus poured every ounce of his will into the device before him.
All it would take was a single instant.
The entire Multiverse would be erased from existence by this terrifying force and then restarted.
When that happened, Abraxas would naturally disappear along with it.
A faint smile appeared at the corner of Galactus's mouth.
But at that very moment, the surrounding space suddenly flickered.
Galactus immediately stopped what he was doing and concealed the Ultimate Nullifier.
Only then did the space before him begin to ripple like flowing water.
Annihilus emerged from within.
His enormous and imposing figure stood directly opposite Galactus.
"Annihilus, what are you doing here?"
Galactus frowned as he spoke.
"I sensed an enormous disturbance, so I came to take a look."
"Were you the one doing something?"
"Why did you suddenly gather such an enormous amount of willpower?"
Annihilus spoke with a mocking smile.
"What does me tempering my will have to do with you?"
"Don't you think you're meddling a little too much?"
Galactus replied irritably.
Among the Five Great Gods, Annihilus had always kept himself somewhat apart from the others.
His relationship with the rest of them had never been particularly good.
And now this guy had suddenly come all the way here to bother him.
What was going on?
Galactus frowned.
"Annihilus, I'm not in the mood to talk to you."
"You should go take a look at Abraxas and see whether you can help."
"As one of the Five Great Gods, you need to fulfill your responsibilities."
Galactus spoke coldly.
"Of course I'll go."
"But what exactly are you doing?"
"Why aren't you helping them?"
"Don't tell me you've secretly joined forces with Abraxas?"
Annihilus immediately turned the accusation back on him.
"Joined forces with Abraxas?"
Galactus's voice turned cold.
"That's a baseless accusation."
"You're usually the one who loves stirring up trouble, yet now you're quietly hiding here."
"If you ask me, you're the suspicious one."
Annihilus sneered.
"Bullshit."
"Annihilus, I'm not in the mood to argue with you."
"Get out of here, or don't blame me for attacking you."
Galactus spoke coldly.
"Fine, fine."
"I'll leave."
"There's no need to get so worked up."
"We've known each other for decades. You could at least show some consideration for our friendship."
Annihilus spoke with a smile.
"Hmph."
Galactus snorted and turned around, preparing to return to his lair.
He intended to wait until Annihilus left before restarting the Multiverse.
However—
The instant he turned around, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest.
He lowered his head.
A black arm had pierced straight through his chest.
Clutched in that black hand was a crimson-dark core.
"We've known each other for so many years. I imagine we're both sick of each other by now."
"In that case, I'll send you on your way."
"See you in the next life."
Annihilus's hoarse voice rang out.
Crack!
Annihilus tightened his black hand.
The orange-yellow energy core shattered instantly.
The light in Galactus's eyes immediately faded.
However, his vitality was incomparably powerful. Even after his core had been destroyed, he remained alive.
"Why?"
"Aren't you afraid of the Living Tribunal's punishment?"
Galactus stared at him in disbelief.
The reason he had been caught by Annihilus's sneak attack was simple.
He had never been on guard against him.
Because of the Living Tribunal's existence, the Five Great Gods would never attack one another.
Galactus had never imagined that Annihilus would actually strike at him.
And yet—
He had.
With that single attack, he had effectively taken Galactus's life.
"I don't care anymore."
"By the time the Living Tribunal reacts, it'll already be far too late."
"I'll push this world to its absolute limit for one final gamble."
"You can die in peace."
Annihilus spoke coldly.
"You lunatic."
"You won't succeed."
"You're an Abstract Entity. Return to your duty."
"You can never break free of that restriction."
"Hahaha! I'll be waiting for you in Hell."
A faint smile appeared on Galactus's face.
Then the last trace of life disappeared from his body.
"Hmph."
"Don't think I don't know you still have ways to interfere even after death."
"I can't allow you to ruin my plan."
"If none of you will let me succeed, then I'll drag this entire world down with me!"
Madness filled Annihilus's expression.
He had only wanted the vessel to shatter so that Abraxas could revive.
Instead, half the universes had been destroyed in a single stroke, severely wounding the will of the Multiverse.
But Annihilus had already expended an enormous amount of power and could no longer continue carrying out his original plan.
Annihilus had completely lost his mind.
Rage took over, and a vicious idea formed in his mind.
He decided—
He would destroy this world!
