Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Zephyr and Kizaru

One person wore a white Navy justice coat with golden epaulets. Underneath was a purple shirt with a tie, and white pants. The overall attire appeared extremely imposing.

He himself was tall and powerfully built, his developed chest muscles stretching the clothes taut. He had short purple hair and a stern, upright face.

The other person also wore a white Navy justice coat, but underneath was a yellow striped shirt. Unlike the previous person's tough face, this person's face looked nothing but sleazy.

Simply put, two words. Sleazy.

Looking down at the purple lightning crackling around Kyle below, he couldn't help but purse his lips and speak.

"This lightning, so scary. Is it the Rumble-Rumble Fruit? But I remember the lightning from the Rumble-Rumble Fruit isn't purple."

That's right, this person was none other than one of the Navy's three Admirals, Kizaru Borsalino. As for the other person, he was also a Navy Admiral, Black Arm Zephyr.

Although Zephyr had been transferred to a secondary role for a long time now, serving as the head instructor of the Navy's Elite Training Camp, he still held the Admiral title and remained one of the Navy's three Admirals.

Gazing downward, his eyes narrowed slightly as he murmured in a low voice.

"That little fellow is. Sengoku's grandson."

"Yes, Instructor Zephyr. He is Fleet Admiral Sengoku's grandson. I think his name is something like. Kaya? Or Kyle?"

"Uh, I'm a bit old, I forgot."

Kizaru scratched his head.

Zephyr glanced at him and spoke plainly.

"Borsalino, as a Navy Admiral, look at yourself. Do you have any semblance of a Navy Admiral? Fooling around all day, doing nothing."

Kizaru raised his hands, a trace of helplessness on his face.

"Instructor Zephyr, I graduated from the Elite Training Camp so many years ago. Is there still a need to lecture me?"

"Hmph."

Zephyr flicked his sleeve, turned around, and his figure instantly vanished from the spot.

This place wasn't far from the location of the Elite Training Camp. The commotion Kyle created naturally couldn't escape his notice.

So he came to take a look.

Now that he had seen it, there was no need to stay any longer. However, one thing was different from before. Zephyr's direction of movement was not towards the back mountain of the Elite Training Camp, but towards the Navy Headquarters office building.

After Zephyr left, Kizaru pursed his lips again, his expression growing even sleazier.

Looking down at Kyle bathed in the sea of purple lightning below, he murmured softly.

"It seems things won't be peaceful from now on."

Before his words fully faded, Kizaru's figure turned into yellow light and slowly dissipated on the spot, as if he had never been there.

And down below, Kyle and Luffy were indeed completely unaware of the presence of Zephyr and Kizaru.

This was normal. What level of strength did Kyle have now, and what level did Kizaru and Zephyr have?

He hadn't even awakened Observation Haki yet. How could he possibly sense their arrival?

The purple lightning surged for a while longer before Kyle gave a light wave, causing the surrounding purple lightning to instantly disappear.

He picked up Purple Lightning again and grasped the hilt.

This time, Kyle encountered no hindrance whatsoever, drawing the blade out with incredible ease.

The blade was engraved with lightning patterns. As Kyle drew it, it emitted a dazzling purple lightning glow, crackling incessantly.

And this was purely the lightning inherent to Purple Lightning itself. Kyle had not activated even a fraction of his Devil Fruit power.

He lifted the sword and swung it several times.

Even though Kyle hadn't had much contact with swords before, nor systematically learned swordsmanship, inexplicably, there wasn't the slightest feeling of awkwardness.

Purple Lightning fit him extremely well. Although he didn't know swordsmanship, the famous blade seemed to have a spirit, guiding his swings.

After a while, Kyle stopped his movements. Looking at Purple Lightning in his hand, he liked it more and more the more he looked.

He decided. From now on, he would learn swordsmanship.

Out of the four rewards so far, three had been received. That left only the last one.

Kyle focused his mind. The ball of red light in the system space instantly vanished. Simultaneously, Kyle felt a power awakening from deep within his body.

Boom.

The freshly awakened, still-warm Conqueror's Haki erupted from Kyle as the center, sweeping out in all directions, stirring up faint air waves.

Luffy, who had poked his head out from not far away, was struck by this wave of Conqueror's Haki. His pupils instantly turned white, he lost consciousness, and fell down.

A moment later, the Conqueror's Haki was suddenly retracted. A faint smile appeared at the corner of Kyle's mouth.

Although Conqueror's Haki was basically only useful for clearing out mobs before mastering its advanced applications, it was an essential ability for showing off.

No matter what, it couldn't be lacking.

After receiving these four rewards, Kyle's current strength had increased who knows how many times compared to before.

But exactly what level he was at, he wasn't clear for the moment.

After all, there was no reference point.

But this wasn't a problem at all.

In the Navy Headquarters, crowded with strong individuals, opponents of all levels could be found. To figure out his own strength, all he needed to do was fight a few battles. Nothing could be simpler.

"In that case."

A curve appeared at the corner of Kyle's mouth.

"Let's give this Navy Headquarters a bit of a shock."

Kyle had no intention of hiding his strength whatsoever.

What era is this, still playing the pig to eat the tiger? Don't play so much you really become a pig.

If you have your own strength, why not show it.

It wasn't like he didn't have backing. If there was any danger, naturally Sengoku would cover for him. What was there to fear.

As for now.

Let him properly test out this powerful physique first.

He wouldn't waste his talent like Big Mom. That was pure stupidity.

"Huh."

Kyle let out a deep breath. The next moment.

Crackle.

Purple lightning coiled around his entire body, making sounds.

The next second, with a flash of lightning, Kyle's figure instantly vanished from the spot.

Boom.

A loud sound accompanied by the noise of a tree breaking was heard. Kyle's figure appeared next to a tree several dozen meters away.

At this moment, Kyle was sitting on the ground, rubbing his head.

Beside him, the tree was broken at the midsection, the edges charred black.

Kyle was getting familiar with his Devil Fruit ability. As a result, he failed to brake in time and crashed into a tree.

But Kyle didn't feel even a fraction of pain.

Sure enough, a physique stronger than Big Mom's at the same period was awesome.

If it were him before, crashing like that would have hurt for a while, maybe even leaving a bump that wouldn't go away for a day or two.

Kyle slowly stood up, his eyes filled with determination.

One failure didn't mean anything. As long as there was progress, it was success.

Given his current situation, he had a clear plan for himself.

Focus on developing his Devil Fruit ability, with learning swordsmanship as a supplement.

So, keep going.

It doesn't hurt anyway.

Lightning flashed again, and Kyle's figure vanished once more. Immediately after, the sound of trees breaking came from another direction, one after another, continuously.
