Chapter 114 - Chapter 114 – The 18 Pearls of Existence

Jhonathan stood in the empty stretch of ruined land where the world had stopped feeling real.

Grimmy, Draco May, and Death remained nearby—silent witnesses to a war that no longer had sides, only consequences.

Arthur arrived shortly after.

Not as a king.

Not as a god.

But as someone holding together a collapsing future with nothing but stubborn will.

"The Absolute Being is moving again," Arthur said quietly. "This universe won't survive another direct correction attempt."

He looked at Jhonathan.

At what was left of him.

At what he had become.

"There's only one way forward."

A pause.

Then—

"The 18 Pearls of Existence."

The name alone made the air feel heavier.

Like reality recognized the concept and didn't like remembering it.

Arthur continued.

"They are fragments of the original structure of existence. Before gods. Before contracts. Before even the idea of universes being separate."

"They were shattered and scattered across forbidden layers of reality to prevent any single being from rewriting everything."

Grimmy frowned slightly.

"…and if we gather them?"

Arthur's expression tightened.

"Then I regain my full authority as the God of Benevolence."

A brief silence.

Then he added—

"And Jhonathan… will be granted Phase Three of his contract."

Jhonathan looked up slowly.

"Phase… three?"

Arthur nodded.

"The level where your existence is no longer just undead survival."

"It becomes intentional rewriting."

Death exhaled quietly.

"That sounds like it breaks everything."

Arthur didn't deny it.

"It does."

Draco May stepped forward.

"And that's our only chance?"

Arthur looked toward the broken horizon.

"Yes."

A long silence followed.

The kind that didn't ask questions anymore.

It just accepted direction.

Jhonathan tightened his grip slightly.

For the first time since the loss…

it wasn't grief that moved him.

It was purpose returning in fragments.

"So where do we start?" he asked.

Arthur answered simply.

"The first Pearl is not in a place."

"It is in a memory that no longer belongs to anyone alive."

Grimmy narrowed her eyes.

"…then it's already calling us."

Far above them, unseen by any of them—

the universe flickered slightly.

Like something inside it had just realized:

they were no longer trying to survive.

They were trying to fix existence itself.
