Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Genesis, Part 1

After several days of planning, I finally decided that I needed help. Planetary cores function much like artificial intelligences: they regulate the changes necessary for life to thrive. Gravity, atmospheric pressure, oxygen levels in the air, and many other variables are controlled by the cores, always taking into account the well-being of their inhabitants. As for me, even though I am now a core, I do not want to spend all my time thinking about those details.

That is why I decided I needed an assistant—and what better option than the gem itself. It is the closest thing to an artificial intelligence: it can handle all those physical and biological problems for me… hehe. Honestly, sometimes I'm a genius. To achieve this, I must inscribe a formation within my core, using the gem as the core of that formation, and then define its parameters. It is very similar to programming.

I will call this system Elena, and she will be in charge of handling all of those issues. I also modified the formation so that she has the voice of a sensual and sexy woman. Why not? Hehe.

My second task of the day is to define what type of energy to create. Normally, when a zero planet is about to ascend into a one-star planet, its core is saturated with different types of energy. The energy with the highest concentration is the one that remains, while the others act as catalysts to help the planet ascend.

In my core, there are only three types of energy: mana, aura, and soul energy. These are the ones I will fuse to give form to origin energy—that is what I decided to call it. If, at some point, I come into contact with other types of energy, fusing them with origin energy will only serve to improve its quality or add certain characteristics.

Another important item on my list is the planet's name. Since this is a planet that fuses different types of energy, I decided to call it Genesis. And that will also be my name from now on.

One crucial issue is the birth rate of my inhabitants. In this universe, as species ascend—or if they are extremely talented or possess very long lifespans—their birth rates decrease exponentially. This is a serious problem for me, because my inhabitants are my only army. Having many or few of them can make the difference between survival and destruction.

Therefore, I decided that I cannot grant them excessively long lifespans, and that their descendants will always be mortal. It does not matter if their parents are level-six ascended beings: their children will always be born mortal. They will, however, be very talented. But mortal in the end.

If they wish to grow stronger, they will have to cultivate energy on their own. In this way, I ensure that the birth rate does not decline as it does among other species in the universe.
