"Maybe next time, right now she looks so happy " muttered Rosie.
"Alright," the two agreed.
Andriana noticed the silence and frowned.
"Are you talking about me ?"
Mira scoffed.
"No we are not, it's just that Rosie here has got some admirers "
"Huh!?" both sisters exclaimed.
"Table five, the one in a brown shirt. His been staring at her since he got here, and I'm sure it not because of the way you're serving those pizzas " added Mira.
Andriana and Rosie looked back at table five but before they could see the guy, Mira and Samantha pulled them back.
"I don't think it's polite to stare ...or glare at customers " she whispered.
"But you said .... "started Andriana
"Yeah I know but making them uncomfortable won't be good for Rosie " she pointed out.
"Ah....but am not interested " Rosie objected.
Mira sighed.
"I know but you still need to make friends your age not hang out with withered women like us ...and they definitely look your age "
Rosie blinked looking back. She noticed the guy in the brown shirt looking her way and the moment their eyes met he turned away.
"I will make friends when I start school again ...and they don't look my age at all " she turned leaving.
Samantha sighed.
"Leave the girl alone, she can make her own friends".
"Yah but it can't hurt to help. And he doesn't look like a bad guy ...look at him stealing glances at her again" Mira pointed out.
"His definitely weird, why is he watching her like that. I don't like it, I'm going to ask him to leave " said Andriana, but the two friends held her back.
She wanted to push them off then Samantha spoke out.
"Look !".she said.
Her sister had walked up to the table, and they didn't know what she said but the boy got up following her out.
"Oh my ,his so tall " gasped Mira.
"Did you see how handsome he is " added Samantha.
"What's with his body, how can a young boy be that ...." She stopped seeing Karlye staring at her.
He had noticed them watching Rosie and the stranger walk out.
She turned away gaining the others attention.
"What's wrong ?" asked Mira.
"Karlye saw us " she muttered.
The two looked back to see him walking to them.
Samantha rushed back to the kitchen and Mira grabbed the two pizzas that had come out and ran off.
Andriana noticed them rush off and knew it was because of Karlye.
"Why are you gawking at that table ? "he asked.
She turned to face him.
"Oh we were trying to make Rosie some friends of her age " she muttered.
"Do you know who that boy is ?" he asked.
She shook her head. Karlye leaned next to him.
"I do " he let out.
"You do....who is he ? "she asked.
"His name is Arthur Haners, his older brother is a close friend of mine" he said.
She blinked.
"He goes to the same high school we went to and is at the top of his class. His a smart and responsible boy " Karlye let out.
Andriana frowned
"Did you notice something too ?" she asked.
"From the way he kept staring, it's clear he likes her" he stated.
"I don't like it and I don't care if he's smart or top of his class ...or that his brother is your friend, let him stay away from my sister " she said.
Karlye chuckled and she glared back at him.
"Something funny ?"
He turned away shaking his head.
Rosie and Arthur returned , he walked back to his seat while she headed back to take orders from the new customers.
"What did you do to your pregnant girlfriend. She is already busy as it is with the growing bump ,why are you making her angry " Mira and David attacked Karlye at his table.
Andriana had been moving up and down keeping busy but her tone and aura were cold ,she looked angry. And if they asked she only glared back without a word.
He sighed glancing at table five.
"It's his fault " he muttered.
"You mean the cutie at table five... he seems interested in Rosie " said Mira.
"That's Arthur, we know his big brother " said David.
"You do ?" Mira turned to them.
They both nodded," We studied together through high school and college. We are close friends " said David.
"Wait ,so how did that make Andriana angry ?" asked Mira.
"I told her I knew his brother and that he was a smart boy and responsible. But she got angry saying she didn't care about that ...and he should stay away from her sister ".
"Sounds like her protective big sister energy is on " said David.
"She didn't like it when I pointed it out earlier too. And I mean I understand her... to Andriana that is still her baby sister " said Mira
"But if I'm right, she is at the age where we started dating and secretly meeting out ". said David.
Mira slapped the back of his head.
"Unlike you , Rosie has been in a coma for three years and she needs to take her time and not rush into anything. So I understand Andriana's perspective " said Mira.
"Then you shouldn't have pointed it out earlier " he said rubbing the back of his head.
"I was merely trying to change the topic. We didn't want Andriana to find out about her allergy " she said.
"Allergy... what allergy ? "asked David.
"Rosie has a wheat allergy. She found out a long time ago but never told her sister " she explained.
"What...that exists ?" frowned David
Karlye's eyes followed the boy who had got up with his friends.
It seems they were done.
He walked up to Rosie who was taking an order from table two and gently tapped her shoulder.
David and Mira noticed too and silently watched
Rosie looking back ,he passed his phone to her saying something.
Rosie looked down at his phone like she was thinking . He said something and she sighed taking it ,typed something then returned it .
"I believe she just gave him her number " muttered Mira.
"Wait does she even have a phone yet ?" whispered David.
"I got her one last week " answered Karlye.
"Oh ...that's good then. She has a friend now " Mira added.
Arthur took his phone back after she was done, muttered a thank you and left. She gave him a polite nod as he looked back before stepping out of the door.
"What is going on ?" the three heard Andriana's voice behind them.
They all looked back to see her trying to find out what they had been looking at but fortunately, her sister was back at taking orders and Arthur was gone.
"Oh nothing, are you done with the upper floor " asked Mira.
Andriana nodded.
"Good let's go check with Samantha if she needs anymore help " said Mira taking her away.
David sat back down next to Karlye.
"I forgot to tell you something " he said.
"What is it ?" Karlye asked.
"I got a call a while back from our men, they found out the person who keeps linking Andriana's information and photos " he said.
"Who is it ?".
"It's Florence, the crazy ex- girlfriend " he said.
Karlye frowned.
"She was never my girlfriend but she is crazy. And here I thought I would still honour my promise of helping them.....do they have evidence?"
David nodded, "and it seems she has been visiting Andriana's apartment for a while now "
"What !...since when ?".
"A few days after Andriana moved back to her place. She just recently stopped after her sister moved in with her ". explained David.
Karlye sighed.
"I guess it's time I made that visit to her family " he said.
"You know her mother had high hopes for your marriage with her daughter. It was the only way for her to restore their family name "said David.
"Well it's not my fault the father left behind such heavy debts and I never promised to marry her daughter. It was Florence who fed those lies to both our parents " he said.
"But you never opposed it, so it might have encouraged her instead ".
" I thought I still needed her but now that I have Andriana I don't need anyone else " he stated.
"Then I believe you need to make it clear to her, cause as I see it, Florence thinks Andriana came between you and her and isn't going to stop until she has you back ".
Karlye breathed.
"No one is going to separate me from Andriana unless they want to end up as all those I have dealt with already".
David noticed the coldness in his eyes and sighed. Florence should have just given up .. she wasnt going to like what was coming for her.
